Am new to this channel,,, am somali and we don't have chess playing culture.... just like everyone i came here confused, but i learn alot..... between this guy and nm Robert Ramirez my chess game has improved tremendously....
@@HangingPawns wooow you acknowledged my great appreciation!!!...I went to sumy state University, Ukrainian old dude introduced me...I always thought it was Soviet game😂😂 they are sooooo good..
@@HangingPawns i want to start a small school, chess club for the kids..I introduced it my kids.....was thinking of using Ur name... hangingpawns... Hope u don't mind it?.....and since i train with Ur videos ofcourse I will introduce it to them ...
I have been binge watching your videos, especially the middle game series, and I have seen genuine improvement and growth which I owe you a thanks for, you've helped me start climbing again after a long time being stuck at 1500-1600. I just reached 1800 only by applying your advice to my games. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Nice to see you doing more training games Stjepan! Pretty excited about my summer tournament prospects, going to play the NA Continental Open in August so that’ll be great. Enjoy France! And sorry about your finger, wishing you a quick recovery!
In France (at least not in Paris) we basically all agree on the fact that Industrial coffee and American coffee are disgusting, while ours (except terrible industrial stuff) is rather good. Also glad you like our bread and cheese :)
Yeah playing chess in some Western countries like France can be expensive when considering accommodation, however, you can sometimes find something cheap on Airbnb or motels. For example, I am going to France in the summer as well, partly in Paris and partly in Fontainebleau (near Paris). In Fontainebleau, I am playing in a chess festival, and I have found an Airbnb for $40 per night which is not bad at all.
@murhnats yeah it's just way too expensive. I wanted to play the Jyväskylä open and then the Paul Keres memorial in Estonia in Parnu. That was the dream:D. But there's just no way
@@HangingPawns :( unfortunate. I wonder if there would be a way to sponsor certain causes like attending a tournament, maybe through Patreon or a similar platform? I have no clue but could definitely participate if there was considering the amount of free chess lessons I’ve received through this channel.
@@murhnats Thanks for wanting to help, I appreciate it very much and that's enough in itself. But, if you'd like to help out with tournaments, you can use this link www.paypal.me/HangingPawns
@@HangingPawns Thanks, done! 👍 I remember seeing some of your old tournament videos where you had slept in a hostel full of party people and were completely exhausted during the games. I don’t think I’m alone in saying that supporting you with proper accommodation etc. when you are playing is the least we can do to give something back so just let us know about your plans. Thanks again for the content, it’s amazing for intermediate players like myself!
@@murhnats Thank you very much! Yeah, I'd had maaaany weird experiences in cheap places. I've already decided not to play a tournament unless I can be relatively comfortable and alone. Makes no sense if I can't focus. If there's anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to email me or send a message on lichess.
Italian here, living close to the French border. French coffee is THE WORST. It tastes burnt and watered down at the same time. Granted, I like my Italian espresso and I'm kinda picky, but man French coffee is soooo bad. I'd much rather have an Americano or whatever long drink ya'll have on the other side of the ocean. My dad's been working in France for 20ish years and has always said French coffee is straight up poison haha
Actually, many of us enjoy his game recaps and they are popular. As for the video title, it says "training game". If you want lessons, check out his playlists, there's lots of them.

I'm also Somali bro, true many Somali people don't even know what chess is. What's your username on chess.com and when did you start playing chess?
Very happy to hear that!

In 32:09 you can play Nd7 because after Rxf2 you can play Nxf8 check and you are winning

Good luck at the open! Thanks. The finger will be fine. I don't think you can do much about broken fingers:D
in 32:09 you could have forked the rooks because it came with check
Yep. That check changes the scenario
I just had a look at your english opening playlist, and all i can say is wow
Nice game! Carlsbad structure is awesome.
I hope your finger heals up quickly, friend. Really enjoy your channel!
Welcome here to Finland! 🚣🌲☀️🙂
Maybe next year!

Hmm. I'll try again and again. Maybe I find good coffee in a normal bar.

Time control there is 90|30 but with double rounds
Last year, I had a 2 round per day tournament in the us that gave me a migraine, it was so intense on my body
Nice game, very inspiring
3:52 h6 is not a mistake, is a playable move. What are you talking about?
That bishop is the saddest piece I`ve ever seen
Yeah. It felt so good to play against it buahahahaha
I Like Your Videos.
After 16.cxb6 gxf3 17.cxd7 how did you know to rule out 17...Bxd7 ? You seemed to only consider 17...Qxd7
Sad that the Finland trip isn’t happening, would’ve loved to see you here. Is it for a cost-related reason because I’m sure that could be solved?

Two games per day is usually very stressful I can agree
My GF and I once drove from Nice to Italy to get a decent coffee !!!! (and it was 1/3 the price) !
I can uderstand that Ps. Who plays a gnome mage?:D

Agree:D I only drink ristretto or espresso, and have had them all over Italy. No comparison. Different drinks altogether.
Best couch on youtube
What about the rest of the internet?
best couch to sit on indeed.
This reminded me of Karpov's Spanish Torture
What a compliment:D
Did anyone else misread the 'includes paid promotion' banner on the thumbnail as 'includes pawn promotion? :)
Hi Stjepan, could you make a video on your current opening repertoire?
I don't think that's good idea when he wants to play tournaments
Not really, as was explained above:D sorry
@@HangingPawns OK but could you recreate some of your opening videos that you didn't do in detail, particularly the Ruy Lopez and Nimzo Indian.
why do you assume everyone is a man?
I was wondering that myself.
We do NOT care about your toyrnandnts...we care about the lesson...and you bait and switch... so bye-bye!

before you comment learn some grammar first since you can't spell porperly.
It would be boring without that, I better like him keep talking
