This was SO INCREDIBLY helpful. As a former pro soccer player, I strongly believe that my content and videos have a lot of value but that my thumbnails just were not good and wasnt attracting the audience. This is going to be a huge help! Thank you!!!
THANK YOU so much for this video. I just started my channel two weeks ago and I'm trying to eventually get monetized. I only have 17 subscribers right now, but I feel so much better about my page when I see the new thumbnails I've put together with the guidance you provided in this video. I left up my old ones from before I came across this video because I want to always be able to see my progress. You have really helped me!
@DarrenReddix-q1k For mine, yeah I pull from internet and it doesn't seem to be an issue. When I use a photo in my videos, I credit the photographer whenever that information is available.
Also not sure if you can do the same on android, but on iPhones you can long press on the subject of a photo to select it, then I just copy and paste the subject (for my thumbnails, a pic of me) and email to myself so I can upload it to Canva.

Hey, great video. Could you also do a video using the canon sx540hs and how to get the best video quality for an indoor podcast setting with softbox and stuff? Respect🙏🏿
I usually use canva for different fonts, text styles and etc but regularly the app I use is InShot because of the free background removal but I’ll definitely look to making a video when trying to capture myself for a thumbnail picture with multiple angles to choose from instead of taking a plain picture
Great tips and ideas! Helps to see how simple it really can be. I believe the only thing left out is that you need to check copyright for the photo from Google. Remember that Google (and any search engine) just finds you pics from other websites. It could be copyrighted and the owner might not appreciate it being used. Best to check where the pic came from and also give credit in the description. Canva might have a decent pic too - couldn’t hurt to check their stock photos. Had to say it because… educator here 😅 Thanks Nolan!
As a photographer this makes me happy to read :) , or please steal my work as that will make me rich :D (joke aside) please don't steal hard working creators images without permission, not cool. Other than that, great tutorial
I know! I'm a website designer and I was floored that he just stole an image off a Google search and posted it on his YT channel. Nooooo!!!!! Don't do that. There are a ton of them right in Canva to use for free.
thank you for this! Big help to content creators. Creating thumbnail is like your facade that makes your viewers watch or subscribe to your channel so you really have to put so much effort so it can be attractive.
I knew what to do, but not how. Nolan, you explain things in a way that I can comprehend, thank you so much for putting in your effort so we can succeed.
I absolutely loved this! I feel like I can do this and it wont be a burden to get shots. I loved the idea of recording in high res and getting screen shots then dropping it into canva with the background remover. Pro-tip gem!
I had never thought of filming and choosing a frame. That’s a game changer …I’ve been trying to get “the shot” and it was taking ages. This tip is a keeper - at 4K 60fps…🎉🙏
I’ve been watching you all for so long and finally packaged all I’ve learned into my first real UA-cam channel. Wish me luck Think Media family! 🤞🏽🙏🏽👏🏽
I just recently used Canva to create a new UA-cam banner. Had to do a bit of trail and error to make it fit the banner area as perfect as possible, but got it done.
There are videos you can watch to not go through the hassle of that. I have one saved in a playlist so whenever I may need to update my main channel, or other channels, I go right to it and it takes a couple mins for me to get it done every time
I am not surprised Canva is being recommended for making thumbnails because it is an awesome app/software even on Android and I use the pro version. Another amazing video and thanks for sharing and love 🥰 the video.
To all the small content creators we got this let’s keep grinding 🔥🔥🔥
I’m trying to get into the content creation game for sports but I have horrible editing skills I’m trying to improve

Thank you!
I wish I can believe that but my channel is just immature
@@randomtiktok7387 Did you just start your channel or have you had it for awhile?
I can feel it إن شاء الله
Ok
The best video I've seen in forever. Why can't all YT videos be this brief and informative? Really appreciate it man.
You speak for all of us bro 🤘🏾
Absolutely. So easy to follow!
Because this video is sponsored. Other videos have to add filler to reach the 8-min mark or whatever for ad monetization.
@@NT-or9wh you just taught me something there. Appreciate the info
Just wanted to point out that background remover only works for Canva pro
Yes, there are so many free websites for that thou :)
Thanks!
Use cut out pro
Yeah I reported him

This might be the best YT video I've ever seen. And a perfect ad. Brilliant!

I did not know how to remove the background. I create thumbnails for a client so this was very helpful
That’s only available on the pro version, which you probably already have.
Also not sure if you can do the same on android, but on iPhones you can long press on the subject of a photo to select it, then I just copy and paste the subject (for my thumbnails, a pic of me) and email to myself so I can upload it to Canva.

Just love the fact that you’re using an iPhone to make a thumbnail, that is just an awesome way to lower the bar for us starters👍🏻

So if you give credit in the picture description, does it make it okay to use? Or do you still need permission?
thank you for this! Big help to content creators. Creating thumbnail is like your facade that makes your viewers watch or subscribe to your channel so you really have to put so much effort so it can be attractive.
