Maybe its cool to also compare the software of both controllers in other videos. Because with the sb3 you get serato DJ lite which means you don't get all the functions from serato, unless you upgrade your serato. But with the rb you get software which works 100% while some features of the sb3 don't work because of the lite version of serato. So with the rb you get software worth more dan €100 while the sb3 don't have the software version worth more than €100. So in my opinion the software is also an important thing when chosing one of those 2 controllers.
ah, thanks for that remark! I'm just about to buy my first gear, and cannot spend much on it, so basically I'm in a dilemma between this two... From the video it seemed pretty clear that one should opt for SB3, however what you're saying changes things a lot
Well, maybe you can download the free version of both software from the rekordbox and serato site so you can have a look in both software. That also helps in your decision. I did that too and it helped me in my decision and so I choose for the Pioneer DDJ-RB (because I liked the Rekordbox software more).
Depends on which software you like to use. If you want to DJ with Serato DJ lite, and maybe later upgrade to Serato DJ Pro, go with the SB3. Additionally, the SB3 is great for learning scratch basics, since it features built-in scratch patterns performed by DJ Jazzy Jeff that you could trigger via the pads. If you, however, want the cheapest all-in-one solution that comes with a fully featured, professional DJ software, the RB is your best choice. However, I would recommend waiting for the RB2, since the RB lacks some little but very important basic features (as mentioned in the video above)!
It's just older so doesn't quite have the features, when the RB2 comes out it'll be the go to best beginner controller again hahah, Rekordbox is taking overrrrrr
rekordbox rules. sb3 is a better controller with a few more buttons if you buy an rb you need to get an external controller if you need thoose extra features. its missing a lot of features tbh
The RB has the pc-out option so you can use your pc or laptop speakers as the master audio output.

Good idea! I'll check them out!
do recordbox has "key shift" like serato?
I don't think recordboy has "key shift". But I'm not 100% sure.
cant wait to the rb 2
when
not sure, but i feel it is coming maybe by aug.
waiting for that too
I hope too...but when are they gonna make the announcement?
Looka like that never happened
Finally i found a good comparassion. THANKS!
the rb has autoloop if you hold the in botton
As SB3 is possible to run on Rekordbox with short cmd to edit registry. SB3 is better than RB for additional buttons.
The SB3 isn't compatible with Rekordbox, only Serato!
Great review... always as ..... 💪😉🔥🔥
which controller would you recommend? the DDJ SB3 or the DDJ-RB? :)

i can see that the SB has more options than the RB but idk why i still want the RB
cause the black jog wheels look better;)
Cool stuff keep it up
works with Virtual dj and win 7 ?
Heyy.... Which one to buy?....which one is better?
The SB3 is better, but you have full rekorbox box license with the RB
Where did you get the custom orange knobs from please?
is the sb3 compatible with rekordbox dj?
no
The ddj sb3 the best ?
for now, yes.
Good video!👍
How do i have 4 decks with the SB3? can i connect my turntables?
Which one is better
How many samplers can you load into the SB3? Can it go up to 8 inputs like the RB?
can you also mix without laptop
UA-camr no, you need a laptop to run the software
Maybe someone have a clue when RB2 comes out?
im beginner and i dont know which controller good for me RB or SB3 ??
SB3 is more complete.

So basically the RB sucks
It's just older so doesn't quite have the features, when the RB2 comes out it'll be the go to best beginner controller again hahah,
Rekordbox is taking overrrrrr
