Wow! Wow!! Amazingly beautiful, amazingly ruthless. Seems like straight out of a Jack London novel.! Thanks for the share.
I'm glad that you made this video: for years I have wondered what it's like on a Scottish mountain in bad weather.
Beautiful, and awesome. Thank you gentleman.
Wow guys this is one of the most extreme snow camping videos I've seen on UA-cam. This is a "real" winter campout!! Do more videos like this!
very true even better than some of the Canadian channels
Great video! I learned quickly that "Nature quickly fills in any hole we dig" now I only sleep in snow caves.
Thanks for sharing! 😃👍
Winter camping can be so much fun :-)
I never knew snow conditions could turn so sever in Scotland.
Wow! Talk about extreme! Mother nature doesn’t mess around. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Totally cool… No pun intended...ha ha ha....
I know they say “mad dogs and Englishmen” but you Scots take it up a notch. Impressive walk and filming and the choice of Jupiter for music was a lovely touch. That wee dram on the first night must have been very welcome. G’day from down under .
Beautiful! Watching this gave me chills!
‘This is a great video, watched it 4 times already, definitely one of my go to videos 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Hiking in a snowstorm is challenging , but your attitude makes all the difference ,
It can be fun and Exciting all at the same time , and when done with the right spiritual framework can be inspiring as well .
Now I feel better in my comfortable and warm bed
You Scotsmen are a hardy lot to brave that blizzard. My hat's off to you boys. Here in Michigan we might get a lot of snow, but the wind doesn't often blow that hard!
Incredible moody stormy skies and a complete change from most camping video - thank you for uploading it.
Snowed in with some grub n a few whiskeys... heaven! Great vid 👍
It looks like snowshoes would be useful. That can also be used to shovel snow. Very impressive outing chaps. Well done.
AMAZING!!! Gorgeous campsite
i got cold just watching. Thanks for posting guys.
Best wild camp video I have ever seen. That’s what I call “hard core”! Nutters.
Wow, lovely video, great adventure. Reminded me of my youthful adventures, wind on the back whipping rucksack straps around the face and verglas gluing my balaclava to my jacket, feet later thawing out slowly. Soon learnt how to dig drip proof snow holes. A feeling of really being alive, beautiful unspoiled surroundings and testing conditions. Thank you for making the effort to record and share.
7:43 I thought that bloke was about to rip a bong!
I was left wanting more. This needs to be shown on public tv or National Geographic. There has to be more footage. Excellent video gentlemen. Wow.
It was wonderful.
Again,I absolutely love this, what an epic film!! Must be amazing having true friends and family with whom you can head out in winter to experience Scotland at its absolute finest! Thanks and ATB.
Awesome!!!! Looked great, if highly invigorating, fun!!! Happy adventures gents, great viewing and well put together
Kindest regards

7:15 this view is awesome, looks like some The Lord of The Rings landscape haha . Great work :)
It looks beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
Omg I love love love your accent! I had to rewatch several times to finally fully understand you but was more then worth it lol.... Great vid guys!!
That was extreme winter camping... I live in Southern California, you would laugh at my winter backpacking trips... Thanks for sharing your trip...
RedWhite&Blue 78 shorts?!😂
Awesome thanks for filming !
Huge respect to all of you. !!!!!! Best regards from Norway . Stefan

Fantastic trip and amazing camp! Cheers Mary
Beautiful adventure absolutely well filmed.
Thanks for all your efforts in making this video from filming to editing.
Paul.
Outstanding, Gentlemen I salute you.
Greetings from your Newfoundland Cousin lol nice video looks cozy inside the tent
That was really cool. Literally. 😁
That’s friggin rough you handled that well. Good job thinking of making snow walls as a wind breaker
That would be a nice day out on the prairie, probably qualifies as rough in Scotland
Looked great😊
That landscape at 7.15 is awesome! Nice video.
used 2 go 2 school in them conditions in the 50s and the snow was just as deep lol
I loved the snow in the fifties! It kept the Indians in their tepees instead of chasing hair..
In just a T-shirt and shorts
@@barriefitzgerald2677 NO but on another note it took u 2 yrs 2 answer
Better late then never
@@barriefitzgerald2677 absolutly
This is incredible video. I am very impressed with the 2 guys.
2:10 nice view
What a treat! just wonderful viewing thanks so much for filming this :) Tim
At 6: 12 The choice spot with great views on a very exposed ridge reminds me of three nights of blizzard camping conditions above 2,000m in the winter in the Pyrenees. Excellent fun. But the persising cross wind keep us in doors the three nights instead of out and about. Then when leaving and walking some 800 meters away. The wind dropped. Lol. That's what an exposed ridge can be like. The air (wind) just being forced (condensed) up the mountain side to continue onwards. May be only 200m away and the wind is 20 to 30mph less forcefull. But it was all great fun. Ty for sharing the video.
There's a fast flowing burn the opposite side that I crossed once waist deep, not knowing there was bridge at Loch Treig. Great video so atmospheric and such moody skies.
awesome video so glad you made it and shared it, what an epic thanks again. ATB
I love this film. Watched it many times, and keep going back to it. How tempting is a well built redoubt in a world of mayhem!!! Thank you Watchill. NOT.....China,Not,too!!!🙄😷🦤
Fantastic energy lads brilliant brrrrr
Amazing :)
Loved the soundtrack! Gustav Holst, Jupiter is truly the best song for any occasion. Really liked you video, obviously it wasn't easy to do.
Brilliant. 👍👍👍👍
Amazing 🙌🏻
"Sensibly foolish" just as every great adventure should be! Well done.
風のない時は神秘的で綺麗だったけどいざ強風が吹き出したら雪の怖さを見せて頂きました。
有難うございます💕
気をつけて下さい。
That was quite fantastic lads 👍👍
looks like a fine summer day in buffalo
That deserves a subscribe 👍👍👍
MAGIC! Wonderful! Proper camping! Best vid ever! I just love camping out in winter, its amazing what you can survive with a few basic skills. Go home feeling like a million miles (& go back to get your gear in the following spring!).
How do you only have 2 subs ??!!!! You Are amazing !!
Very interesting!
Epic film, we'll done guys 👍
Looks like our spring in Canada lol
Nice footage guys
cheers
Amazing guys !! Looks like you got some descent battering there. Scottish winters can definitely be very challenging on high plateau. Good idea to bring the saw. Never thought of using that for make a wall up. I generally use the shovel ! Keep it up anyway. Got a few videos like yours by the way if you are interested having a look 😉 Max
Wuauuuu..que maravillosa aventura 👏👏👍👍👌⛺️👋👋
Does anybody know what kind of jacket the light brown jacket is that the guy on the right is wearing at 4:12?
The music is like an educational film in school back in the 70s. I thought this was Antarctica. There are so many places I think of as extreme winter first, now this is going to be on the list . What altitude is this?
It looks like a fine spring day in Canada.
-12ºC in Chicago and - 15ºC in Detroit right now. At 20: 06PM GMT. A lot colder further north. It is freezing as far south as Memphis. Southwest is hot (25ºC ).
Michael Greenwood 😂
I'm curious why you didn't bring snowshoes on your trip. Reminded me of some summers here in Canada. ;)
Normally, albeit not always, our low western hills go through so many freeze thaw cycles that the snow remains firm and snow shoes are a waste of effort unless you know for certain that they will be useful. Becoming more popular in mid winter in the east if there has been a heavy soft snowfall.
@@watchhill6287 I've watched this film so many times and it always reminds me of great mates being well prepared for all conditions and enjoying all the weather can throw at them 😀 ❤👍great job folks 👍
I assume you guys knew the storm as coming and did this on purpose. How did all that snow get in the tent?
should have built an igloo
Brilliant guys
Epic video chaps. Though it does make us Southeners look like a bunch of jessies. Good to see you properly kitted out for this type of thing and are not just another mountain statistic. Subbed.
this is so awesome
Safety in numbers, many hands is light work, solo would be stupid.
I'd leave the tent and make a run for it.
Well done gentlemen !
That's tough goin well done
Imagine the German army in that weather without proper winter gear in Russia. No wonder there were more soldiers killed by the weather then by fighting. Those two guy's here had all to survive, and still its very difficult...For the good order, I am not a Nazi fan and only was comparing.
That was seriously hardcore boys, proper wild camp loved it 👌🏽
like he said oh dear what a trip
Snow shoes?
OH HELL NO!...You guys are crazy but awesome.
Huzzah to the cameraman!!!
What type of camera do you use? I want to make similar videos, so I want a camera that can withstand the rain and cold.
...and a wee dram to seal the occasion.
This great video should have been a 1 hour special.
Great stuff
very nice vid. was it filmed in scotland?. B.T.W if u started raising the walls to protect the tent, why not go the all nine yard and build an igloo?.
WOW you guys are something
3 Scotts in a two man tent ... Sleep one wide three high !
A real EPIC!!!!!😷😷👍👍💥
Thanks for the thumbs up - much appreciated.
@@watchhill6287 tuff stuff. And a cracking break too!!!!
Grandiose!
Nice very nice
What a great little clip would love to have the chance to be able to do something like this.
Looked like you were going to make an igloo. Surprised you didn’t make a snow trench. Great footage in spite of the weather.
curious...what temperature was it ? *greetings from Canada
Not particularly low, -5C but wind gusts to 60mph meant high wind chill.
Temperatures on Scotland's low mountains and proximity to the sea mean that temperatures rarely fall below -8C.
-8 not bad, but windchill must add a bit. here is -20 -30. not good for camping at all. LOL. thanks an be safe out there
I just noticed a Terra Nova sticker on your pack. is that Terra Nova national park, in newfoundland Canada?
No, It is the British tent manufacturer's product name for their range of high performance mountain tents.
No snowshoes?? Thanks for the video. This is extreme winter camping at its best.
->Good site prep with snow block walls. ->digging out tent walls during storms is not fun but a must. ->cooking in the vestibule is the only choice in these winds. -> a pee bottle is a MUST at a time like this. ->Now where did I put my Jack Daniels?
Eric B. 😂 they answered why they didn't use snow shoes. they said it rarly snows there, more ice than fresh snow, so they didn't bothered.
Where is this location?
OMG just epic ...
How did you get permission to use the misic?
This is certainly a way to dodge the midges
