What is ASMR?
Autonomous sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. Used to help with sleep and relaxation.

I’m so glad you talked about how socioeconomic status relates to education. Most people need to hear a real account that resources relate to how well children do in school. That’s why vouchers/for profit institutions will hurt low socioeconomic communities! It’s good for people to hear a success story, thank goodness for your charter school closing the gap on your education and learning style. Kudos to you!
Thank you!! I totally agree and am a huge advocate for education, but also recognize that the way our school system is built does not cater to everyone’s learning styles 😊
Not me, a Third year first gen Latina college student majoring in Sociology watching this🥹. Thank you, I chose Sociology because it has a lot of amazing opportunities career-wise. But, it overwhelming at the same time, but this really helps me to get an idea. Plz, do part 2❤️

when you go back to school you should do periodic, maybe every other week, story times about updates on how the work-school-life balance is going or just what you are doing in school

I just want to say that I think your job is really important and that I believe you make a positive difference in those students' lives. I also hope that you get a job you enjoy more and an opportunity to further your education because you seem so passionate about it!!

I come from a low income neighborhood and they took us to jail in the 5th grade. We had to go to one in another town because the one near us we would of saw our own friends or family. We had district attorneys come in weekly and teach us about our rights. So sad that they expected that we would end up there even at such a young age.

Even our school took us students to jail, to meet those people. But that was for a very different reason. We went to jail just to distribute sweets and spend some time with them (from a distance) especially during festival weeks so that they don't feel lonely and can have the festive sweets. Trust me, they were so kind to us.
This is so sweet! Trust me this was not the reason for us 🤣 they took us girls to the women side, showed us where someone tried to commit you-know-what, then took us to their gym to have a few of the female inmates tell us they would beat us up and r*pe us if they ever saw us in there 😅
