I am so glad I’m not the only one that absolutely hates chrome!! Every one I no says they love chrome & it looks so pretty!! I had a buddy that had a blazer that had a chrome differential cover!! He was going down the hyway & it started to leak on him & he didn’t no!! It ended up locking the rear end up solid & ended up rolling the blazer & totaling it!! He was in the hospital for a couple weeks but finally was able to make it back home!! He was so lucky!! I can tell you he won’t even but one piece of chrome on a vehicle now!!
I’m not completely against chrome, but I am familiar with its inability to seal properly. It can be made to seal with a little work. I grew up around muscle cars and chrome; I like it in moderation.
Just bout spit my water out when you said "feel comfortable running 37's". I know many guys with similar setups on 44" tires and wheel the shit out of them and have never broke a thing.
Y'all done great, explaining functions and installation very well. Nice job fellows, hell I could even follow those instructions. Once again, Nice job.
I did the truss, high steer and link mounts on the D60 for my Nissan Patrol. Not looking forward to doing the gears. You guys kinda helped ease my anxiety...a little.... My current favorite UA-camrs!

A case spreader is handy, but not necessary. Just remember to add preload if you’re able to drop the carrier in without a spreader.
I made a case spreader & I was glad that I did!! I have seen a guy do several axels using a big hydraulic press!! By gently pressing on the housing with the hydraulic press it will spread the case!!! Definitely check your Carrier bearing races!! One of them are none for coming loose in the housing & spinning in the housing causing them to wear the housing out!! I took a 4.10 gear out of my Dana 60 & installed 4.56 gear along with an ARB locker!! I also put all new stuff in the axel!! The only thing I have not done yet is up grade the outer 30 spline axel shaft to the 35 spline & put the Yukon lock outs on!! I will do that when ever something happens to one!! I do love the Yukon lock outs so I might end up doing sooner though!! I have 5 Dana 60 axels but they are getting way harder to find them for sure!!! Awesome detailed video guys!! Way to go!!!

whyisntenstavalible No problem. Just keep in mind, the offset/backspacing of the wheel will determine body clearance. If you have a wide, low offset wheel, it will stick out quite a bit and possibly hit the fender. The mounting surface on the hub is nearly flush with the fender.
It wasn’t a kit; however, all the Yukon parts we installed retail around $2,500. The brakes and wheel bearings were another $200 from Rock Auto. Steering arms and bronze bushings make the total around 3k.
Jeremy Downs That was just to show the gauge moving to give an idea what we were doing. With the camera view, and our hands in the way, you couldn’t really see anything when we were checking backlash.

Do you know where single wheel hubs can be bought
Offroad Design and Ruff Stuff Specialties are two places we know of that carry them.
how are those bronze bushings? holding up?
So far so good!
How much wider is the dualy front dana 60 vs thea regular dana 60?
4 to 5” according to the Dana 60 bible.
Srw 60 is 69.5”, drw 60 is around 74”.
Just curious why you chose to run a dually version?
Got them for a great deal, then I picked up some H1s. With the dually hubs I didn’t need to do anything to fit the wheels.
@@RecklessWrenchGarage oh im retarded no shit. Facepalm
How much was the kit
It wasn’t a kit; however, all the Yukon parts we installed retail around $2,500. The brakes and wheel bearings were another $200 from Rock Auto. Steering arms and bronze bushings make the total around 3k.
are you using 2 dually axles and hummer h1 wheels? smart lol
Yes. After a while I replaced the rear hubs with single wheel hubs to match the track width front-rear.
@@RecklessWrenchGarage I’m thinking about doing this because I can’t find a SRW gm 60 anywhere near me (NJ)
309 rod and peen it, house insulation works great hot for 2 days
Why were you rotating the pinion when you were checking the backlash... Was that just to show the dial indicator moving on video?
Jeremy Downs That was just to show the gauge moving to give an idea what we were doing. With the camera view, and our hands in the way, you couldn’t really see anything when we were checking backlash.
Сool!
Is that a front differential cover?
Yes
Always replace the inner seal repeat always replace the internet seal that's a lot of work to replace the inner seal
i am so jealous
Kris. Did u live in AZ Sierra Vista in particular
It’s a good possibility. Why do you ask?
You wouldn’t happen to have any those Chevy duly Hobbs for sale???
I happen to have a spare set of front dually hubs that I wouldn’t be opposed to selling.
I’m running the same front and rear diffs as you but mine are out of a W300 1980 under 1975 Dodge power waggon W 100 single cab short box But the axles that I have are out of the Dooley truck and I want to keep spacing because I’m running single wheel 40 inch tires and I am now running 4 inch wheel spacers in the rear as a pretty nice Stance but I’m looking for Chevy hubs for the front so I can run 35 spline outers I’ve been following Reckless for a while learn a few tip off u I’ve totally rebuild the rear of my Dana 70 with chrome Molly axles shafts , ring an piñon an a arb air locker And on board air But anyhow I could go on anon just have to do the Dana 60 in the front lol good times
RecklessWrenchGarage
How much do you want for the set ??
I’d trade for a pair of 14 bolt srw hubs.
I don’t have any 14 bolt hubs sorry buddy
