Federer is a paragon of a Tennis player. His technique will probably never be replicated. Sure Nadal is a powerhouse and Novak a machine, but watching Federer is like seeing your favorite painting or hearing great music
Azael that is a most eloquent description and I agree .Who would really want to watch a Novak or Nadal match several times and yet I frequently watch Rogers old matches .
Seeing him hitting tennis shots looks like a fish swimming in water. It happens so naturally....no effort, no fuss.....just the way it should be. I feel gifted and honoured to have been a tennis enthusiast in his time and to have seen him play live on TV. Thank you Roger....You are a blessed being that you gave happiness to so many people by just your tennis shots. You will ever be remembered. Love you Roger. i am in tears right now while typing my comments. I am 58 and play this beautiful sport that Roger too plays....This is honour multiplied.
Roger is poetry in motion, the most spectacular player to ever play the game! I am so grateful to live at the same time as Roger and fortunate to watch him up close a few times, so amazing to witness first hand! What a loss for the sport when he'll retire. Play as long as you can Roger!!
2:47 & 3:03 Not sure if I'm watching tennis or artistic dancing. The footwork, the timing, the focus, the motion, the technique and finally the balance... unpaired, mesmerizing and unbelievably beautiful ... Thank you for this excellent video.
what could you want more. G.O.A.T. in super slo-mo with legend Stefan watching behind. Just look at those effortless shots and 100% hand-eye coordination. Beautiful!
Like Becker says, "you don't know if Roger is playing tennis or performing ballet". One of the best slow mo of Fed. You managed to get Fed in full flight for the run around forehand. It's quite a beautiful stoke. No one even comes close to doing that better.
It teaches so much, not only tennis. Just look how relaxed he is, how effortless. No mimic impressions. That's the man on his place. In the zone - a beautiful and only way to truely be. I'm so glad I've seen this, that I posted maybe first comment from a year and I'm watching at least one short tennis movie on YT. Great job man! Keep it up :)
We are very lucky that this athlete is making history in our years and its privilege for all of us that we can watching him. After Michael Jordan for the Basketball, Mike Tyson for the Boxing, Ronaldo(Nazario)for the football, Roger Federer is THE TENNIS.....!
All time great. Fluid motion. Never looks like he’s straining to hit a shot. Modern -day Bjorn Borg. Thanks for posting! Thoroughly enjoyed watching the master.
Yeah, this is pure art in display, never faked, copied nor memorised but in the DNA, the GOAT debate has just reached its use by date, it will be ignorance to try and bring that debate back. We are not talking about records here, that’s another debate, nothing to do with who the GOAT is, finished Rodger is the one and only GOAT 😂😂😂😂😂❤
I come here before every next match to reduce anxiety. There's something about his movements that just keeps me calm and relaxed and also tells my interior voice that it will come up just right.
Everyone please read “Roger Federer as Religious Experience” by David Foster Wallace, it’s the linguistic equivalent of this video. Just as no one will ever strike the ball as exquisitely as Roger, no one will ever match DFW’s description of his transcendent talent.
Effortless power! His coach Stafan Edberg (one of my favs as well) was just as effortless and graceful at serve and volley. They def compliment each other. The three (Roger, Rafa and Novak) will have the tennis world crying once they retire.
Second that, Edberg was my favorite player before Federer appears. Both played effortless but there a big difference, Edberg used his court speed to anticipate and win points, most with volleys. Federer, in the other hand, mostly used his technique to create shots from the baseline, firing missiles, and this Edberg was not able to do.
Many thanks for your work on the goat RF. I will watch this piece of art every day that I can. Its art its ballet its poetry ant then its tennis. Typically I'm to old to ever get half as good but I'll try anyway bc this inspires me so much. Thanks again I just subscribed its on 1.1m viewing but heck life is short so much to learn.
You're welcome. We still watch the video every week. A great way to absorb and learn visually without even playing! Glad to have you as a subscriber, happy hitting! -Jason
One word that 90% of players could get from this. WHIP. You should understand his power comes from the physics of whipping the racquet through the shot.
Definitely the greatest modern athlete of our times! A man who defined his sport! When he retires people should cry for days!!! A real artist!
Definitely gonna cry for weeks, and Tennis will never be the same …. Roger and Rafa ✨✨✨✨
I'm crying...it really hurts 😭
😢
Sad days are here 😢
I cried when he and Nadal cried at Laver cup
Selection of strokes, execution, timing is simply impeccable. He makes the most difficult sport look so simple.
Great comment! We couldn't agree more.
-Jason
Poetry in motion. Simply perfection.
The most talented & graceful player in history! Without a doubt!
So beautyful to watch!
the best tennis player in history of mankind! the most complex and the most artistic forehand ever! Thank you Roger for everything!
Federer is a paragon of a Tennis player. His technique will probably never be replicated. Sure Nadal is a powerhouse and Novak a machine, but watching Federer is like seeing your favorite painting or hearing great music
True. A work of art
His and nadal’s forehand are similar. If nadal’s hand doesn’t whip around his head, it looks exactly like rogers but with a different grip.
dimitrov literally did that
Azael that is a most eloquent description and I agree .Who would really want to watch a Novak or Nadal match several times and yet I frequently watch Rogers old matches .
Simply the greatest. Roger stands alone.❤

Agreed 100%.

Edberg just being there overseeing things makes this all the more satisfying to watch.
This is a masterpiece of the art! RF is and will be my favorite forever!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy watching it.
-Jason
Federer should have classical music playing in a video like this because both are precise , smooth , and graceful !

what could you want more. G.O.A.T. in super slo-mo with legend Stefan watching behind. Just look at those effortless shots and 100% hand-eye coordination. Beautiful!
Stefan is looking at him so admiringly!
Roger is music for my eyes. Love it!!!!
He's smooooooth! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Quelle merveille de technique, de talent, de génie.. et j'en passe !! Sa retraite est un évènement planétaire.

Very artistic, and no annoying grunts. I would love to hear the sound of the ball hit bec you know the sound of a good hit.
The camera work is just as awesome as RF....
Poetry in motion...effortless perfection!
Kevin,
It's a beautiful thing to watch!
I've seen many slow motion videos of Roger but yours stands above the rest because of the beautiful and dynamic music.
Wow!!! GOAT,,,,, I am blessed to. Have lived during his reign!!!!! Thank U Roger!!
We are very lucky that this athlete is making history in our years and its privilege for all of us that we can watching him.

Pure poetry in motion... Pure poetry... Totally mesmerizing.
Best looking set of legs in ATP hands down
All time great. Fluid motion. Never looks like he’s straining to hit a shot. Modern -day Bjorn Borg. Thanks for posting! Thoroughly enjoyed watching the master.
El arte de la perfección, el autor, cantautor, cineasta y director de la elegancia su propia poesía que jamás será superada.

footwork for the backhand at 2:45 is amazing
That's some crispy footwork.
-Jason

Man this guy can win a bodybuilding contest with those leg muscles alone!
the best of all time, master of the game
It's a pleasure to watch his movements, tennis looks like a child's play when I watch him
He is a Poet of this sport.

A little editing magic ;)
-Jason
Very nice job indeed!!
That’s what makes him so great , he’s often duplicated but never and I haven’t seen it yet , replicates
Ballet performance❤
Beautiful, graceful, mesmerising.
Federer and Edberg. The two best one-handed backends ever, in the same shot. Poetry.
Not even close. Have you heard of WAWRINKA, GASQUET, THIEM?
@@pdcdesign9632 yeah those are good shots, but without Edberg there wouldn't be any of those shots.
Federer faz um balé clássico, que sofisticação ao jogar tennis nunca vi nada parecido !! Melhor de todos os tempos..#jogaaté50

The video is awesome too and the best music to reflect the duelle emotions of the dramma on the court.

He deserves a museum
Thank you very much for making this video. It is invaluable to study Federer's swing motion.

TennisUnleashed absolutely! It’s like he holds the ball on his racket for eternity!

How bout the poet of tennis “Big Cat”, “Swede Killer” Miloslav Mecir creating angles!
Second that, Edberg was my favorite player before Federer appears.
