The screws are called either Torx if it's star shaped or Allen if it's 6 straight sides. It's one of the most common faults on the old cartridge based consoles, dirty pins on the console or the game, nice work saving it from the dump.
Thanks for watching Roman this one was such an easy fix, I think some of the older console were built so well I don't think a ps3 would last that long 😀
@@HomeGamingProductions I bought an old gameboy and one of the outer pins was bent but I managed to push it back with the tip of a steak knife! 😃 It was the clear DMG 001 model. 😊
Hi mate, thanks for the video, I've just brought a snes and I can't get it to work on my hisense tv, I've plugged the 3 cables red, white, yellow to the tv, but can't get anything on AV, I've just ordered a HDMI converter will this work do you think? Cheers
Hi Dale, thanks for your comment. Does the console turn on can you see the red light? If you do that's a good sign, I don't think the HDMI converter will work I think its likely the pins are dirty too and they may need a clean like I did with this console in my video.
Hi mate, yeah it all turns on, i brought it from cex so its been tested, im not sure the tv supports it, hence the convertor, thanks for the reply. Del
@dalewoodham2588 oh if it's been bought from CEX then it should be fully working. If your tv has an aerial slot and you have a wire you can try test the console this way as the console plays through av or aerial cables.
@dalewoodham2588 No problem Dale, one last thing if the your tv has av sockets then it should support your snes without the hdmi adaptor it could just be a wire issue give the av cable a little wriggle on the av screen and see if anything starts to come through if it does you may need another wire for the snes. Best of luck getting it working again
