This was the perfect Cyberpunk series. This genre isn't about winning. It's about the will to fight against an impossible enemy, to scrape any moment of happiness to the bone and suck out the marrow. They were never going to win or get a happy ending. We all knew that. But they fought as if it was possible. That's Punk as Fuck.
After Rebecca`s brother died i realised this is not an happy ever after game/anime. I was kinda prepared for it but its still made my heart ache at the end ..

I feel my heart empty after watching this show, the ending really hurts, Lucy loved David and he was the only one that knew about her dream, even when he was about to go crazy he was still looking for a way to achieve his girl dream, we even had a scene when he was watching a program for the moon trip price and she said "You remembered", he really was the man of her life, in a short period of time and seeing her finally standing in the moon and remembering him and their happy memories, the face she did when he faded away, and this song.. it's more than I can take.

When I killed Adam Smasher, I was avenging Johnny. Now, I'll be avenging David and Rebecca. But yeah, it hurts knowing that She won't get to live out that dream with David, but at least she's out of Night city now. As a side note, I wish David did become a construct.

It was only 10 episodes but I was so invested in the characters. Especially Becca

A little part of me was hoping that at some point "v" would appear and save the day. But this ain't no fairy tail. Also the main character have my name and this made it hit a little harder. Just using this as a therapy group and charing the emotional damage .

This anime was the prefect cyberpunk tragedy. It is certainly an anime of the year contender. I'd absolutely love to see another self contained story as a session 2!

I mean..I think.its alright if they dont have a season2. All the characters we loved had closure and I dont feel like it needs any continuation. Just an opinion though

This Show blew my mind with there characters, there story development. The setting... everything. Highly recommend to watch if you still haven't. Made me re-download the game and I also found out you can Wear David's Mom's Jacket in the new patch.

Yeah it's weird how cyberpsychosis means absolutely nothing to the player. Just put all the biggest and baddest stuff in every slot, no side effects.

I was hoping to see more of Max-Tac in the game's story and gameplay. But the game was an overall dissapoingment so I guess not worth mentioning.
V must be freaking immune cause by the end of the game i think I'm more machine than woman.
@@Insaniac969 It's a shame they didn't have any of the ripperdocs tell V the dangers of chroming up too hard, but I wouldn't say V was immune to it. Cyberpsychosis seems to take time to really break the mind and V... well, V didn't have time left. The Relic was going to kill them long before they were going to break.
It could also be argued that the Relic, in the process of "reformatting" the brain might have been staving off cyberpsychosis. The tech is meant to install a construct onto a clean slate, after all, not a broken one that's about to snap.

just like with the game. The buggy and cut back intro really had me expecting the rest of the game to be terrible. But I didnt have much bugs beyond the intro missions. Then I got involved with an amazing world and Story.

they have so strong Dominic and Anemone vibes, she rescued him, he saved her, the fact that they didn't stand on the moon together is such a tragedy

@@rexie8569 story is definitely better. It's same i would say the anime capture the environment very well. And every weapon, vehicle,Fixers who are the people that get you a jobs,soundfx and special FX are the same. If you watch the dub and play the game you hear the same voice actors. This anime Is like an accurate advert for game. The theme how city is like it's another monster just swallowing up people and just spitting them up. It's all true in the game. I don't want spoil anything else for you because even the side missions are crazy.

It is very sad and melancholic that such a reciprocal relationship ends like this, it makes you reflect deeply, in the end all that matters is being able to fulfill dreams in life with the people we love and care for, because then it is too late to look back .

This is what love is. Learning to suffer for the sake of each other in the face of adversity, shielding each other from harm, whatever the cost, however painful it may be, going forward and overcoming the obstacles that life throws at us making any necessary sacrifice. Not for our sake, but for the sake of the person we love. David and Lucy embodied this bond perfectly, and this is what makes their story special.
Character development was on point. The music just helped tell the story so well. All in all it was a great experience.

I cant believe how good this show was, i was iffy at the start but it just gets better and better the tragic ending was perfect, lucy and davids relationship was incredible, its not how i wanted the story to end, but it was exactly how it was always going to end.
This song brings up so much pain. This anime hit me like a truck. For such a short series, it pulled me in so quickly and had me invested the entire time. One of the best animes I've watched

Anyone who ever played the tabletop went into this with ZERO illusions. This game system is BRUTAL. Not at all unusual for the whole team to wipe in the first session. lol
A lot of people who hate on the show don't seem to understand the bitter sweet story its supposed to tell, Dystopia is an unyielding suppressive environment to those who aren't at the top so to even scrape out some enjoyment is enough of a fight but edge runners showed a story so unique and sets up so much more for us hopefully.
The ending was so melancholic,yet at the same time cathartic
Man the last episode was so heart touching, got so attached with the characters, especially Becca :(

You will never forget this song after watching the show. You will never forget these characters. It brings the abstract to life. Cyberpunks who fought to survive and for a moment, in the City of Dreams they found life beyond survival.

Given the amount of hype and praise this generated(as it should) i simply can't fathom how the world would react to it in a timeline where Cyberpunk 2077 met all its expectations on release!
The anime actually made me want to try the game out(been avoiding it since release for my next/new pc upgrade)
The realisation hit me about halfway through the 2nd episode that David was gonna have a blaze of glory moment, I still wasn't prepared for the pain from the ending.
That's how legends are made choom.
Just imagine, Lucy brought him back from Cyberpsychosis...
If Adam Smasher wasn't there. He could've downgraded, and lived a happily ever after with Lucy.

@@venveng I think he is dead the moment he touch Sandevistan. He just handle it longer than normal. Even when he think about downgrade and decide to do it, Arasaka won't let that happen and that will lead to the effort of Lucy trying to delete those data about him and trigger Faraday's betrayal eventually.

I was biking today and saw a lit up ferris wheel it was doing patterns and one of them was this cool prismatic flourish, and it reminded me of lucy's hair and then everything hit again and this song started playing and I remembered the last scene and man my bike ride became a different experience. Makes me tear up everytime.
I like to think that with the data from David's head that they were collecting during the fight, his consciousness could be alive if they did a second season, hopefully it was Lucy losing almost everything she has left to save David's consciousness in order to continue with him ( something similar happens with Jhonny in the game)

ah man i knew it wouldnt end with a happy ending for the whole crew, i mean its night city! its a pretty unforgiving place, from the first second of the 1st ep to the last second of the final i was hooked and this song now fucks me up lol. on the flipside the song by RATBOY on the 1st ep hits so good it completely encapsulated what night city was. ugh just such a good series i have now seen it 3 times and i just dont get tired of it lol, cyberpunk has always been my shit and this was a masterpiece id love to see another series but maybe focus on a different crew or just a solo merc even, night city must have a million mental stories and id love to see them animated by the same team!!

This really put into perspective what an achievement V truly made by the end of 2077. Millions of people have lived in night city over all the years and have attempted to make it to the top only to fall from Grace. V is the only one who has potentially made it to the top and survived and outlived his/her legend by the end of it.
David is now at the top of Arasaka with Johnny and all the countless legends that got eaten up by Night City. They’ll just remember them with drinks made in the Afterlife, and through Rogue.
I never thought someday another anime will bring those great feelings from GitS and SAC series… 🥰
