@@dfxstudiosaround 2010 she walked off set of the movie hall pass, she said due to being unable to remember her lines because she was “ scatter brained” due to her abusing adderall. She said this herself. After that she decided to retire from acting. Probably because she felt she couldn’t do it anymore. After that she didn’t have anything else to do. I feel if she didn’t start abusing adderall and other drugs she’d probably be acting at some capacity today. Even if it were lifetime/ Netflix. Many people took advantage of her during her decline. Especially before it was public knowledge. She would withdrawal $100,000 in cash from her bank accounts over and over and spend it all on her “ friends” which really were people taking advantage of her.

There’s a reason a lot of comedians have a dark side with mental health issues, and that’s for people who came into at an older age than her. Being a very young female having to be this clown for everyone’s amusement, often in skits looking strange and ridiculous is clearly damaging. Being a comedian is one of the hardest professions in general. That’s an identity that should be chosen once a person has more time to develop, not started WHILE they are developing. That’s not even including the abuse many kids in entertainment endure. I think her parents were extremely reckless in their choice to take her down that path. Maybe if she would have started at 16-18, things would have been different.

The documentary really came as a surprise to me. I used to freelance with TeenNick and Nickelodeon for their on-air motion graphics packages. They did background checks and everything and state that since we are working with minors (I was not even on-set, I got footages from them and make their on-air spots and promos. I indeed receive photos and video of shows like Zoey 101, drake and josh, iCarly, Victorious...etc.) they have to do that to ensure their safety...etc. etc. Back then I was very impressed even though there were way more paperwork and threatening language than other Networks would require. I am just surprised this happened to kids and teen talents.

It shows that she was being temporarily cared for by responsible adults who were concerned about her well being. Whereas everyone else wants to make it seem like he was taking her to live in the dungeon of his bachelor pad to be his live in sex slave. Truth is much more productive than gossip, and foolishness.

No. She made a mistake selling her soul. But anyone in that position can find their way back from it. All of them need to decide to protect each other when they want repentance. No ome needs to sell theor souls to express their talents.

Why is no one talking about the ridiculous expectations placed on these kids to produce and entertain at astronomical levels and keep one-upping. Also the over-sexualization of young girls - no wonder she developed body dismorphia. Also, watch the Quiet on Set and see the similarities between her Dad and Britney's Dad - father's getting way too personally invested and arranging their young daughter's careers, pushing the girls to produce constantly be "on" then ending in the woman in a mental break and conservatorship. It's like they never got a basis in reality. Mothers, bosses, everyone in society shoving down how important it is to be thin, pretty, and the right 'type' of girl. I know personally, it is hard when your identity comes from performing. When you end that, retire, or want to transition or evolve - who are you after? And considering the abusive environment top-down on that set, and she was the favorite for many years of the toxic and creepy leader. I mean he and all of them created so many gems of shows, that was hugely influential to so many of our childhoods, but that pressure on the kids. Push to change the law to not allow sex offenders on sets with children. I mean that should be minimum. Blessings that Amanda finds healing and support and a re-birth
