I think it's also worth noting that Finn Wolfhard was also sexualized by fans of Stranger Things after the first season dropped. Women were telling him to find them when he turned 18 and planning around his potential future sexiness when he was around 14 years old. He found it really unsettling--which it was.

Just adding that it was also the '70s and virtually everybody in banking and entertainment was doing cocaine. Some popular singer said that in old Hollywood it was obvious that if some singer would sing even better than Sinatra, the management would come to him, as soon as possible make a contract, and pay big money, before someone else would make a contract with him to make him famous.
and they tell to him to never perform so people will never hear the guy because the king can be only one.
Or if there were 50 singers who are like Elvis and one of them was better than Elvis singing better dancing better.
The management would buy him, so he will never be heard by any audience because it's a shallow way to convince the public that King is only one, and its an interesting tricky
way of business itself to gain millions. Because they invest so much money in Elvis that they can not afford to have some other singer, who is better.
So maybe at that time cancel culture did exist globally but it existed only behind people´s backs, made by some individuals, who had money.
He is probably right. It's like Nike is just the best merchandise. Nobody is better than them except Adidas.
But nobody else is supposed to be as corporate as them. I was always wondering why we never hear the singers of the American Idol. Why they didn't become famous if they are so good, or just few of them were a little bit famous and made a CD recording?
So maybe the public is tired of manipulation so they made a cancel culture because they changed their opinion about famous people.
People started to realize that television is as fake as it gets, just to buy their products, without conscious thinking.
They convince you that its not on you to choose what product you want but they choose it for you. Then they blame people if they stop caring about culture.
Maybe cancel culture always existed before but people didn't know about it. Management could buy someone to not perform etc. Even though the celebrity became a slave at some point.. The management also does stuff. It actually doesn't create values of healthy relationships and marriages, because fake sense that celebrities are always best at something and don't have time for marriage and ordinary stuff. But people should have their own values.

@@alaalfa8839this is a great explanation of American capitalism and marketing. It's always been this way, especially in Hollywood. These days, the manipulation is extreme. The propaganda has always been powerful, but moreso these days because of the technology and access people have at their whim. Politics operates like this also; we have a lot less control than propaganda leads people to believe, ie, "vote no matter what!" People are chosen, we don't exactly choose. Same thing in Hollywood. I believe it's been like this for centuries.

Another problematic relationship no one ever seems to question is Mariah Carey and Tommy Mottola. They met when Mariah was around 17 and he was 40. Soon later they started dating and they finally got married in 1993 when she was 23 and he was 45. If the age gap wasn't disturbing in and of itself, he was also essentially her boss, head of her record label and one of the most powerful men in the music industry, and she had just started her career and came from nothing. Unsurprisingly, the marriage turned out abusive, and Tommy is still credited to this day for "making" Mariah, when, in fact, he took advantage of her more than she profited from the relationship...

It´s actually a sign of maturity to choose a younger woman as a partner and has nothing to do with power and other idiotic notions you people regurgitate but rather the choice to avoid women just like you. Younger and less confrontational or socially paranoid women have less baggage and preconceived stereotypes embeded in their minds hence they are more desirable.
Not exploitable if you can ever make the distinction which is doubtful.
Younger women can have their opinions and freedom of choice and their projected imaturity can also be a weapon and not a weakness especially nowadays.
Women that are younger can easily take advantage of older men by financially exploiting them or cheating but that little detail totaly evaded your brain.
The one sided story telling and forced equality of the cases in this video and to compare real predators and healthy individuals just because of their age gap relationships is so typically female and very telling of your motives.

There’s nothing wrong with an age gap when the younger person is 39… Jesus Christ. That person has been an adult for a long time. You all are crazy judgmental.
What if the person doesn’t have kids? Then you can’t say that’s the specific issue. Some women have had kids at 14, some at 40. That range isn’t exhaustive obviously… the range does however illustrate that making statements such as the one above is foolish. My parents are in their mid 80s and I’m 32… my husbands parents are also in their mid 80s. We have an age gap, that I’m not about to share here. We have been happily married 9 years. Our families are supportive. My parents adore my husband. Yes, they were insanely protective of me at first, but he proved he wasn’t a fucking creep. Relationships should be viewed on a case by case basis. You can’t make polarizing blanket statements.
Also, it is funny that people are talking about how normalized and ok society is with older men and younger women, but that’s just not true from my experience. Having an age gap seems to give people license to publicly shit on you and be justified in doing so… or for them to ask you ridiculously inappropriate questions. That is what I’ve experienced. I can acknowledge that we may be the exception to the rule, but it shouldn’t make people feel like they have free license to judge and treat you with contempt, disrespect, or hatred.

Charlie Heaton from Stranger Things was only 16 when his boss Akiko Matsuura groomed him. She commented that he was a “hot little boy” on her facebook when he was only 17, she got him on heavy drugs when he was 17, she posted a nude photo of him without him knowing to her facebook when he was 18, and she babytrapped him when he was 19. He finally left her soon after she became pregnant.
That’s when Charlie got into acting to support himself and his son. When Charlie got famous and the press found out about him being a father, Akiko started lying to the press about her age to make it look like Charlie was a deadbeat dad who left his pregnant teen girlfriend. I remember in 2018, she made a post on Instagram saying she hasn’t been in a relationship since she was with him, and that she’s sad and lonely being a single mom, and all I could think was “well maybe next time don’t f*ck a teenager!” But I just feel so sad for Charlie and what he’s had to go through since you can tell he’s still messed up from that experience.

My cousin and aunt encouraged their relationship, literally pushing the girl, when she was only 16, into his arms, only because they didn't have much income and needed to get rid of an extra mouth. When my mother told me the story I expressed my anger and disgust, but my mother said that it was the best choice for the girl (as if she chose it). When I asked her if that would be the best choice as well for my niece who is 18 now, her reaction was different, because my niece comes from respectful wealthy family, she is very smart and she 'deserves' brighter future. I mean my mother would straight up ENCOURAGE me to go "hang out in the medical library at colleges" when I was veryyyyy under age so that I could meet my 'future husband'.
The only reason this has gone on for so long is bc woman have only just begun waking up and educating themselves on manipulation and predatory behavior and how it is NOT desirable to be some mans little toy to mistreat and take out his lack of emotional intelligence out on.... why else would a 30/40 year old even WANT to date a child with zero understanding of how the world works? its wild and sad that my own mother tried to teach me to accept abuse like that. I mean she's not exactly okay herself but it's sad that she thought it was GOOD to try to raise me that way...... she literally didn't know better, just like all the women you mention here... thank god Ive always been the "crazy person" who spots manipulation tactics from a mile away.... otherwise I would've 100% been a teen bride myself 🤷‍♀
EDIT : thought it'd be worthwhile to mention that my mother alsooo saw no problem with flirting with my teenage male friends. shed invite them to stay later at our house to "talk" even though I said I was going to bed bc I had school in the morning (so did my male friends lmfao) pretty much she would prey on my male friends who had particularly difficult home lives and didn't want to go back to their own homes. it always felt weird to me, hearing my mom have deep convos with my 15 year old male friend at 10pm.... but now with my fully developed brain im entirely aware how inappropriate it was. past generations were deeplyyyyy intertwined in this very sick, but normalized behavior....
mind you im only in my mid twenties and I would NEVER EVER EVER WANT TO EVEN BE FRIENDS WITH AN 18 year old, let alone a 15 year old!!!!!!!!!!!!! like whaaaaaaatttttttt?!?!?! I have no desire to groom anyone?!?!?! why was this sooooo commonnnnn and accepted😭

I really hate when people just say age is just a number because it isn't. Age often equals emotional, physical, and mental maturity and stability. How is someone who is under 21 expected to be at the same level as someone who is 30+??? I believe if the younger partner is at least 24/25 and they choose to date someone older it's alright but for someone who just turned 18 or is 20, there is an imbalance that can take place. Any age gaps under 18 is a huge no.

    • @Sakura77488

I met my life partner when I was 20. And we got married recently (I'm 26 today (soon 27)). He's about 15 years older than me. We are very happy together and he never treated me badly or manipulated me in any way (I feel like I always have to clarify that to people). Even though I was young when we met, we actually were on a pretty similar maturity level. I had another partner before him who was around 23 when I was 18/19. But he was extremely immature and a bit toxic too, so I broke up with him and I couldn't see myself being with a guy in his 20s ever again after that (or with anyone that had those toxic traits). I myself was very mature because I had been through a lot in life, and I'm pretty sure I was more mature than most other young women that were my age at that time, and so I felt like I connected so much better with men that were in their 30s. But I want to clarify that most of my partner's exes were around his own age and he did not pursue me just because of "how young I was". Not at all. We met on a serious dating site and we had a lot of common interests and had both been through similar life experiences, and we became friends straight away (we lived in different countries at first, so there was a lot of talking and getting to know each other before meeting in person), and then our connection deepened and we both fell in love. Felt very natural.
What I mean by this is... Sometimes age gap relationships are genuine love, even when at the beginning the other partner is under 25, and so I think it's wrong to be judged or shamed by society for that (because of the age difference). But I do think that a lot of the stuff that happens in Hollywood is a totally different thing and often involves abuse of power or actual minors, and that I think is sick. Then it is a very different thing and deserves to be criticized.

Aaron by the time he was 20 was married, a father and a step father to two children barely younger than him. That fact that everyone was hoping he had actually cheated on Sam with Joey King and keep wishing for his "freedom" speaks volumes. So much flies around about those two and how unhealthy their marriage is and how much power she has over him. She "allegedly" has almost like full control of his career. He cannot take certain film roles without her permission, they barely spend time apart from each other and again "allegedly" she is the reason his character was written out of the MCU. She apparently didn't want him to commit to multiple films and was jealous of the friendship he has developed with Elisabeth Olsen. That is all purely speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if one day in the future everything about the Taylor Johnson marriage gets exposed.

Sam Taylor Johnson needs her behaviour exposed. She groomed a young actor, trapped him into marriage and pretty much took full control of his career and his life. and the SIGH OF RELIEF I gave when she said she had a boyfriend actually made her laugh. This was the only time I've ever done something like that, however. Also ,is super weird that JYP made Park Hi Yoon sing Coming of Age Ceremony as soon as she was 18,Hyuna debuted at 14 and she was the "sexy member" of wonder girls and Tzuyu and Yuna have been in comercials, outfits and choreos that are not age appropriate for someone who is a teenager

Woody Allen, James Franco, Stephen Collins, Tom Cruise, Burt Reynolds, Terry McMillan and Bryan Singer. I am glad you mentioned Paul Walker in this video he is seen in the media as this really nice all American guy. In the case of Woody Allen, think of Brad Pitt dumping Angelina for their daughter Zarah when she is 16 yrs old! That is what Woody Allen did and Hollywood still embraces him!!
