    Underrated, if you ask me Iversons only appearance in an NBA final wouldn't of happened if Mutombo hadn't been on the sixers.

    • @bdww4072
      @bdww4072 4 місяці тому

      Except Theo Ratliff was playing just as well before he got hurt then Mutumbo got brutally assassinated in the finals 😂.
      Also, Iverson's only appearance in the finals wouldn't have happened if not for David Stern and the refs manipulating the series against the Bucks in the most egregious way possible. That and Vince missing that damn shot.

    Jordan against old rainbow-uni Denver- this just screams old school NBA!
    Can't get enough of those Bulls-Nuggets showdowns in that era.

    • @ballinboxer3676

      AI really fucked up that whole Philly team by being lazy in practice. Sure it made for a very funny "We talking 'bout practice" meme but guaranteed if AI showed up to every practice on time like every other NBA player then they would have had more success, could have even had a ring.

      @@ballinboxer3676 agreed.. There are many very good and even great individual players who didn't take a necessery effort in practice. Look at Carter he is in my oppinion a guy who is happy with what he can achive whit normal effort in p. He never significaly improved his game yeah he did adjust with age but Imagine his longevety and ahletic abilities with half of mamba mentality.. You could name a few others.

    I couldnt agree more. Iverson would have never got there without Mt Motumbo. He was defensive player of the year that season. I was really hoping they got a ring that year. But hey, they ran into Shaq =( I was the happiest man on the planet when my Bad Boys kicked LA ass in 04 LoL

    • @tomeskew6080
      @tomeskew6080 5 років тому +1

      Fair enough but as someone who was like 4 when that happened and have only watched highlights from that period, I will say it must have been a treat to watch Shaq in his prime, from what I’ve seen he was damn near unstoppable and seemed like a god on the court. Fair enough to want to see the Lakers lose tho 😂

    LamarMatic what are you talking about?, Jordan would never choke, he would let you win. He was being nice to the young Nuggets and granted them a W. What a nice dude he was...LOL
    But seriously, what a monster Mutombo was down low, and its a shame that injuries prevented that Nuggets team from reaching their full potential.

    Being a guard doesn't mean you don't try to block shots. Why we see all the other guards blocking shots or challenging shots while jordan not? He's the ONLY guard he was not blocking shots. I've never seen him one fuckin time blocking a fuckin shots straight ahead or challenging a dunk. When the other player took off, Jordan was running away like a refugee. Only once he challenged it (cause they needed the win so desparately) and he became the eternal poster. -CONTINUED-

    mutombo was a good player, kind of like a poor man's olajuwon minus the offensive arsenal.. not just comparing these guys because they're african btw, they really were quite similar on the defensive end except olajuwon would come up with steals and is the all time career blocked shot leader.

  • @jamesmatthews5365

    Yea on offense he never was Pat Ewing or Zo. Yet you can still those Georgetown skills down low.

  • @InfraaVerdaggens
    @InfraaVerdaggens 13 років тому +2

    @LamarMatic Jordan never challenged dunks because he avoided posterisation. Totally white-collar cocky unmanly attitude. All the blocks of his career he made by coming from behind players as a double-team help.
