Yeah it’s Pennywise... every time the camera pans back to her she gets closer and closer to to Ben until he slams the book and IT’s back where IT started.. then the balloon shows up leading Ben to the burnt Easter eggs and so on

Brenda Forster well you better enjoy 40 year olds sitting around talking about the good old days and weird shit in between. (You know you're getting old when you start paying attention to what they're actually saying realize you can relate)
Nicole 7891 Well, considering these 40 year olds will also be fighting It again, and if the cast is going to be as great as I've been hearing about, (example, Chris Pratt as grown-up Ben), then I think I will very much enjoy seeing It.

IT's kinda what we had back in the 90s and 80s done well enough nowadays: a child's introduction to horror movies. The young cast is excellently believable, the weird tension outside of scare scenes is there.. the part in the library where you see the old lady turn and grin wildly at Ben out of focus, that was an awesome touch! Sure, no movie's perfect or anything, but I loved this flick and I'm glad Deck did too. What particularly got me besides the off-hand visual reference to the Dead Lights was Pennywise's eyes, they looked disturbingly false. Once he comes to a dead stop after playing with Georgie and they're totally unfocused... fuckin' creepy! Another thing is he's a bit more.. psychological. I know I’m a year late, but congrats on getting engaged!! Also this might the closest I’m gonna get to watching this film. I’m not really one for hard core horror films, more soft core horror films like Coraline, Crimson Peak, or Pan’s Labyrinth.
Pennywise has the ability to possess / influence the adults to isolate the children. Also yes normally adults can't see pennywise's illusion / constructs unless IT wants them to.
4:03 who else noticed that over the course of the scene pennywise's left eye wanders, which is a very clever detail Also who else noticed that in the library scene when Ben is looking through the history of derry, and it kept transitioning from the book to Ben's face the librarian in the background?
9:20 did anyone watch the librarian during that scene in the film? How she stairs at him from behind as he learns of the easter explosion. It was the creepiest part of the hole movie.
Yeah. I noticed that as well. It is creepy the way she stood there staring with a slasher smile. I wasn't sure if that was Pennywise in disguise or if the librarian was briefly possessed by Pennywise.
That about the poem wasn't supposed to be revealed until they are adults... Also the "Deadlights" is supposed to be a fraction of what he truly looks like but as even that is simply too much for a mortal mind said mind crack.

loved both the review and the movie, looking foward to the next chapter, found the flick scary but with enough depth to the plot and characters.. I agree with the internet personality with the best hair!
Wasn’t it odd that EVERY TV that was shown in the movie was playing the SAME weird children’s show that made Henry kill his dad? Y’know, the one about clowns and “we should all go play in the sewers”? I actually listened to the TVs in the film they were saying some creepy as hell crap man 😳
I'm sure studios will reassess their Stephen King properties now that they know if they just keep true to the source material, they'll find the films far more successful... well, except for Maximum Overdrive. Ain't nothing saving that insanity.
Honestly the original movie sticks pretty damn close to the book, they just left out a few scenes, and the only real major changes were they didn't have Judd's wife in it and they never showed the Wendigo that stalked the trail to the burial ground, but who knows maybe they'll do something new with it
While we're at it with some Bill Skarsgård facts, I got some: He has a lazy eye. The effect is not CGI, it's him physically moving his eye in a different direction. He also has a gland problem, leading to over-stimulation of the salivary glands. Some of the slimey saliva often seen is added to it, but most of the time, especially when he's slurping, it's Bill's own saliva, exaggerated from the dentures he wore. He was raised in a family of actors. Most notably, his father Stellan is a veteran Hollywood actor. His brothers Alexander and Gustaf were more well known before him. Unlike his brothers and father, Bill primarily went into stage acting as a contortionist. Like with the lazy eye and the saliva, the fridge scene and the creepy dance and the floppy fall were not CGI. Pennywise's facial scar, later seen replicated on the monster version of Beverly's father, is an exaggerated version of Bill's actual scar. He often refuses to reveal how he got it in interviews, stating "It's not an interesting story. Your imagined version of it is far better than what actually happened." Bill's eyes are naturally green. That is one of the few things they had to add in special effects for, as Pennywise's eyes are shifting between blue and yellow.
Okay theres only one reason why you think that way its cause we got 2 movies with him in it and the sequel is where we get to see him act like hes an eldritch horror, which im sure part 2 will do but better cause they had the turtle in part 1
4:17 notice the look on her face? She look like she knew what was gonna happen but Didn’t because ether she was afraid of penny wise or the town which I believe has a deal with a town?
The swimming hole scene didn't make me uncomfortable or feel awkward, but that's because growing up in Indiana that was something my friends and I did all the time in the summer. So for me it's more of a happy nostalgic scene (which I believe the director was going for) than a "Look at these underage kids in their underwear" scene
Great synopsis and commentary on this one. I'm curious what the follow-up will be like when it's released. It seems they did a great job with the first part remake.
Thanks for the Review Decker sir! I loved this movie - never got into the miniseries - I forgave alot of the cliches mainly because I feel thats what they needed in the story - basically felt like they did the IT movie properly for the first time
I'm Aladeen about you reviewing IT instead of IT, but it's also Aladeen in a way, so Aladeen. The Aladeen IT will be surely more Aladeen than IT ever was.
Is the bully supposed to be somehow affected by It's presence? He's so overly psychotic that it's either bad writing, or a horcrux/ring of power style corruption going through him.

Well, you're not wrong.
I like how the floating bodies are very reminiscent of detritus in a spiders web. A neat way of incorporating what he is without showing him as a spider

the other ghost girl probably my favourite moment in the entire film. Didnt even notice it the first time took a second viewing and it blew me away im like damn thats creepy haha well done movie
Pennywise has the power to possess the adults in Derry. It uses that ability to isolate the children and create as much fear as possible.
Bev doesn’t need any of that her dad is freaky enough
Ive told so many people about her, theres a few more examples of this if you keep your eyes open

Anyway, I did enjoy #IT “2017”... but I’m REALLY lookin’ forward to #ITChapterTwo “2019”. That’s where we’ll know if they did an excellent job with this franchise. I’m really looking forward to how they do the ending, and what they do with the weird alien spider, lmao. I guess we’ll see soon enough, bois! Jesus, I hope they do it justice! #EDIT: Decker, you’re the bees fuckin’ knees... and keep on making grade A content, we NEED your reviews!
I know you're reviewing it but what movie is it? That joke never gets old
Thanks for reviewing IT. I’ve been waiting three months.
So when is robocop month?
loved both the review and the movie, looking foward to the next chapter, found the flick scary but with enough depth to the plot and characters.. I agree with the internet personality with the best hair!
Decker will float too.
Wasn’t it odd that EVERY TV that was shown in the movie was playing the SAME weird children’s show that made Henry kill his dad? Y’know, the one about clowns and “we should all go play in the sewers”? I actually listened to the TVs in the film they were saying some creepy as hell crap man 😳
"Å" is pronounced pretty much as "O".
Oh....
Wow I just found your channel and it’s great! Your a lot like nostalgia critic from channel awesome, and your super funny. Congrats on 100,000 subs!
Can't wait for the Pet Sematary remake next April.
Carson Brage oh no what?
for real?
I'm sure studios will reassess their Stephen King properties now that they know if they just keep true to the source material, they'll find the films far more successful... well, except for Maximum Overdrive. Ain't nothing saving that insanity.
Cyril hey. Maximum Overdrive is a treasure!!!
Honestly the original movie sticks pretty damn close to the book, they just left out a few scenes, and the only real major changes were they didn't have Judd's wife in it and they never showed the Wendigo that stalked the trail to the burial ground, but who knows maybe they'll do something new with it
While we're at it with some Bill Skarsgård facts, I got some:
He has a lazy eye.
Your imagined version of it is far better than what actually happened."
Bill's eyes are naturally green. That is one of the few things they had to add in special effects for, as Pennywise's eyes are shifting between blue and yellow.
Tim Curry is best IT.
Tim Curry is best communist.
Tim Curry is best Transvestite.
Tim Curry is best Butler.
Tim Curry is simply best.
Communism was a red herring.
Tim Curry is chicken curry
MINDBLOWN CHICKEN CONFIRM?
Cameron Billquist Tim Curry is the best Evil spirit Made of pollution who sing about how much he loves to fuck bulldozer's
Okay theres only one reason why you think that way its cause we got 2 movies with him in it and the sequel is where we get to see him act like hes an eldritch horror, which im sure part 2 will do but better cause they had the turtle in part 1
ssssssssPACE!!!!
25:50 ohhh decker.... they’re doing a trilogy lol! Although the 3rd ones about Pennywise and none of the kids are in it
I loved this movie. I was pleasantly surprised by how good and scary it was.
4:17 notice the look on her face? She look like she knew what was gonna happen but Didn’t because ether she was afraid of penny wise or the town which I believe has a deal with a town?
4:42. JESUS H CHRIST!
Kain VS Predator I had pretty much the same reaction.
I'm not sure if I should ask Decker Shado to review A Serbian Film or not...
Fubukio I’d say no
Great synopsis and commentary on this one. I'm curious what the follow-up will be like when it's released. It seems they did a great job with the first part remake.
*IT* came from beneath the sewers.
No seriously...
*IT* lives in a sewer.
[Insert No Sh*t Sherlock Joke]
No sh1t Sherlock
😂😂
I prefer my grandmother's twist on it. "No shit, Dick Tracy!"
25:42 Man, I wish that were still true. Though I'm still not sure if a show is a worse idea than a third movie.
when is Decker gonna review texas chainsaw? :-(
Blake The Gambling Hero good question
I kinda like the idea of the original pennywise looking like a normal clown.
Ik personally I think this one is scarier but the original one is better in that it looks like an actual clown and acts like one
I haven't seen this yet but I know it Will be good LOL
makes me sick knowing so many people have no idea about Decker Shado and his talents and demigod like ability to make outstanding content
Bill scarsgard is awesome as pennywise
Thanks for the Review Decker sir! I loved this movie - never got into the miniseries - I forgave alot of the cliches mainly because I feel thats what they needed in the story - basically felt like they did the IT movie properly for the first time
I'm Aladeen about you reviewing IT instead of IT, but it's also Aladeen in a way, so Aladeen. The Aladeen IT will be surely more Aladeen than IT ever was.
SnlDrako Is that Aladeen news or Aladeen news?
Definitely Aladeen, tho you could see it Aladeen light also.
Is the bully supposed to be somehow affected by It's presence? He's so overly psychotic that it's either bad writing, or a horcrux/ring of power style corruption going through him.
