Holy crap...I raised an eyebrow when he said Adam Sandler was in this. He got my attention when he said Tom Kenny was in this...But the fact that Robin Williams was in this? That just made me smile... And oh great...Decker is totally doing Joker next.
Bobcat and Robin were very close. If you haven't heard it I recommend you listen to when Bobcat was on Joe Rogan talking about Robin's life at the end. It's pretty sad but he lays out what really happened with his friend.
“A clown, down on his luck with the world turning its back to him and his own degrading stability leading to a tragic tale of losing friends, losing those you care about and finally, things turning dark in the big city.” Eh. Probably already seen that.
Finally, a movie about clowns that doesn’t portray them as scary killers or monsters. It’s nice to have a clown movie that takes a different approach that’s more centered around comedy and drama.
@@delmerputnam1679 thanks! Yeah it looked good but I never got around to seeing it. And I dont pay mind to any news or reviews, id rather hear it from someone...or read it rather. Cheers!
I went to the same high school they did (a few years after) and a lot of the stories that were told were funnier than most of their skits!!! (Bobcat also got banned for life after coming back to do a show and dropped his pants (private schools....sheesh) LOL)
I always dug this movie. Tom Kenny's performance as Binky provided one of the best evil clowns in movie history. The scene where he glares at a helpless Julie and says "You piss me off" was legitimately bone-chilling. It sucks that Bobcat's attempt at making an actual horror film with Willow Creek was an utter disappointment.
To be fair their are many princes claiming that title, but I think Decker Shado and Brandon Tenold are effectively the next heir apparents to the dead king Doug walkers (nostalgia critics) thrown. Granted no one holds a candel to our emperor cinema sins, but the roll of prince is ever up for grabs! We just haven't seen the Texas horror mop head and Canada's pride do a cross over fight to the death for the iron play button throne yet! LOL
I had no idea bobcat was still alive let alone still doing stuff! What's great is that your videos wont feel dated because you arent mentioning quarantine. Your witty and slightly awkward humor is refreshing and unique. Cheers!
I used to be a cocktail waitress at a comedy club a long long time ago in San Francisco. Practically all of the comedians in this film used to perform there at the beginning of their careers, Marc Maron too. When this movie came out Bobcat was so excited. It is just so awesome and crazy to see how far they've all come.
Binkoid's jacket has the same color scheme as that zebra gum from back in the day. Is that still around? 8:12 Who was it who said that a clown and a mime in the same room is like a snake and a mongoose? Was that from a classic '90s episode of 'The X-Files'? 16:22 No Primus reference?! Denied! 16:36 That's not a truck, yo! Maybe Bobcat flubbed the line but kept it anyway.
I actually believe I've seen this before on TV during late night. Turned it on during the Clowns vs Mimes brawl and went "what the fuck did I just turn on?". Sadly I didn't finish it but now, I need to hunt it down.
I love this movie! My friends and I got real high one night, and watched it. We loved the hierarchy of clowns. Mrs Brady showing up would tell us that this is a perverted world. Bobcat is a capable director. He's much more than a funny voice This wasn't a blockbuster hit, maybe not even a rental hit. I worked at a video store and it was hardly ever out. But this movie did have something. It was very frank and in-your-face about alcoholism. Shakes is a wonderful clown, and he loves his girlfriend. The only thing in his way is alcohol. Will he be strong enough to land the girl and the job?
Bobcat has stated in interviews that this was his jab at the backstabbing nature of Hollywood and the clowns represent the comedy community and how cutthroat comedians can be in attaining fame and success when they no longer look out for each other.
Have you ever considered reviewing UHF Decker? I can't be the only person whom has asked you. all you'd really need to look like Weird AL is a Hawaiian shirt and maybe some glasses.
I'm a huge bobcat fan he is one of my favorite forgotten actors of the late 80s early 90s I wish him pauly shore and carrot top did a movie together that would have been cool
Decker, I thought I was about the only one who remembered this movie. Dad had it on video tape, how I've seen it, but never seen anyone ever talk about it. Which for how crazy of a movie it is, kinda surprises me. Anyways, thank you, Decker. Enjoyed this.
Anyone remember Confused Matthew? He did the weirdest review of this movie ever because he couldn't remember ANYTHING about the film. He wasn't even entirely sure he'd seen a movie at all so his review was just him saying 'Huh...' over and over again
I'm guessing clown superpowers are like Roger Rabbit toon powers; they literally do only work when it's funny. Makes me think the mimes can create physical invisible objects but only if they don't talk.
Never heard of this movie before, and that's a damn shame, I wanna check it out. So much clown stuff these days seems focused on either the horror aspect, or like the sad and depressing existence of a clown. This seems enjoyable.
God you are the coolest ever, you are so funny and humble and you seem to just upload for us not for views or money or something You’re the goat bro 👌🏻🔥
I have vague memories of watching this movie when I was very young. I remember walking into the video store and seeing a clown on the cover and thinking it was a kids’ movie. My mom apparently thought so too because she let me rent it xD. I don’t remember any of the movie though.
there actually is a very small chance that flask could stop a bullet. subsonic round that doesn't have enough charge, but doesn't squib... theres a chance that flask could stop it. even from that distance.
About that mime but, I think it would've been funnier if they showed one mime mimicking yelling with no audio, but somehow other mimes nearby hearing him clear as day. It makes little sense, but it would work with the comedy mines are best known for.
When Binky says "Shakes will mis your big debut", you can really tell that hes The Ice King from Adventure Time. And Spongebob.... And like every other cartoon character from my childhood!

“The ‘Citizen Kane’ of alcoholic clown movies”.

That ain't Binky the clown. Binky was always screaming "HEY KIDS" comically waking up sarcastic orange cats.

Joker? I know he a comedian in the new movie but same thing
this is joker but fletcher has friends who support him so his life doesnt go south

Any movie with clowns is a horror movie tbh
