My personal favourites in HotS were King Sejong (Dear vs RoRo in SPL comes to mind, among many) and Vaani research station (INnoVation vs Life, Soulkey vs Rain...)

Good trip down memory lane. I wouldve hoped for more mention of the truly bad maps that plagued the early era of WoL though. Shit like steppes of war lol

Is possible to play Legacy of Void in the initial Wings of Liberty maps? Curious about how games in Xel'Naga Caverns and Megalopolis would be today.

I remember Metalopolis very fondly but after revisiting it, it seems unfit for today's SC2. Map is big but lacks bases, it's open yet prone to stalemates, it's paradoxical how little it works for today's factions.
Incineration Zone and Scrap Station on the other hand...
weirdly I remember the maps from that time period much better. afterwards they are a mush.
lost temple and shattered temple were also iconic btw
I remember the ultra bug. it was soo much fun to see them kill a PF with SCVS trying to repair but dying to the cleave.

Nuke should be super expensive but cannot be cancelled and faster drop
I miss that desert map from a few seasons ago. Cosmic saphire? Or maybe thats my fav 2v2 maps from second last map pool.

Daybreak is goated. When I read the title of the video it's the first map that came to my mind.
Personally I think Radhuset station and Equilibrium from the last map patch were horrible lol... But props to them for taking a risk on radhuset and Equilibrium was just awful for me as a Terran so im biased in that regard

I always felt steps of war was the worst map that stayed in for a decent amount of time. Maybe bias because I was playing Z at the time
