Police doesn't take action because majority of people who join the police force come from the same class of people as these drivers. And that's a fact. Here in my village, most youth are trying to join the force, if they fail, then they become drivers, or barber or whatever. And those who do manage to join the force are apparently going to be blind to the illegal drivers and engage in bribery etc. This is also the reason why women can never get protection from the police force in this country because police themselves come from sexist, misogynist communities who believe in abusing women and seek dowry after they join the force. India will never rise as a nation.
I think one should only buy dashcams which show car speed. Will be helpful in court.
