    I'm pretty sure you convinced me that I will be ditching my trailer this year and working out of my truck. The nice thing is I have a truck bed cap, so I won't need to slim down too much! All of your videos are great!

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick  Рік тому

      Heck ya man do it. Trailers are cool for carrying everything at all times but imo they cause more problems than they solve.

    • @GlennSherwood
      @GlennSherwood Рік тому

      @StaySlick yeah, I've definitely fit it in some sketchy spots over the past 2 years. My biggest problem is we do a lot of RVs, so we carry a 100-gallon tank and i only had a cover on my truck. The end of last year I bought a 2500 and a bed cap so I have all the room and weight capacity to safely carry that tank, generator, reels and the rest of the business with no worries and I got to cut back on products and found I don't need everything I was carrying.

    My back and front seat is full of stuff. Just like yours. I don’t do this for a living but am their to get my truck cleaned up. Paint corrected etc. so all my supplies are in the truck and uncovered bed. Hoping they don’t get stolen. Lol one option for truck beds Vs OSB which doesn’t like water is using horse trailer rubber mats. Super thick and extremely durable. You could screw into them if you wanted to. My bed is 8’and is covered in that rubber Mat. Maybe 3/4” thick. They sell them at tractor supply.

      Right on brother thank you for the support. Yes, my first idea was to run a camper shell but I chose not to because of the cost and extra weight. If I wanted to get one have it color matched and then get the decals put on again for my business, it would cost me well over 2000 I just like running a low profile set up as I think it looks cleaner but I can definitely see how running a camper shell would allow me to have more of what I need.

    • @helifan2346
      @helifan2346 Рік тому +1

      Just set up everything outside the truck bed, like a template without screwing anything to the plywood yet
      When you have everything the way you want, start making holes on the plywood, go from the bottom up, what I mean is use the screw long enough from going from the bottom of the plywood up with a washer on that side, now screw from the top down with a nut. The washer is to keep it tight and make it hold better. The weight of the water tank will keep everything in one place but make sure to make holes on the 4 corners of the plywood and on the trunk bed liner, this will keep it from sliding when driving. I would go a little further, screw some pieces of wood in the front of the water tank to hold the plywood in place (drill the holes first then use the screws on the plywood and the retaining wood) this will aloud the same weight of the water tank to keep the plywood to slide side to side or the front when driving, attach the water tank with straps to the truck bed. Voila! It will keep everything in place
