Could you please tell me how your guitar is setup as far as relief in neck, strings used, string ht on neck and each pickup ht to strings. What pickups are in this strat. The radius of the fret board. I have a number of strats and just haven't quite have the setup I'm looking for. I have setups on my other guitars set just fine. But they're Ibanez with 20" radius feet boards. I do a lot of bending notes. And you playing is unbelievable.
I'm too old (65 been playing since i was 10) to join another group, but when i see and hear an excellent musician it put my faith back in humanity, Sean Mann and I know there will be plenty more, as in Garry Morre, cheers

Agreed. This takes SRV to the next level. Just insane funky playing. That right-hand rhythm is the most captivating I have seen or heard and I've been enjoying this genre for many-many years. What blows me away is how Sean can cover everyone's favorite rock guitarist and master their style and embellish on-top of what each one has done.

Hey fellow guitar players, the major key to the sound here is tuning down a half step, Hendrix, Stevie, and a multiple other players do the same. It allows you to bend easily and give you a lower end sound.
That will get you about 15% of the ways there lol. But yes good to keep in mind. A strat, a tube amp, OD pedal, and some good hands will take you the rest of the way.
First off that depends on the gauge of strings. Also practice is what will get you where you want to be. That’s the truth. Lots of practice and inspiration and practice and putting your head down never being good enough and more practice and please don’t just emulate some guitarist to where you’re just a walking copy of them. This guys a great player and I’m not insulting him. He’s extremely talented!!

@@_KerinR_yup. They do. Stevie’s tone did too. I’ve tried it myself and heard many others in person and recorded. and Stevie broke strings every concert when he went away from 13’s. I see guys like you saying a 13 is just as string as a 10 lmfao. FOH!

I was just a few years too young to attend Hendrix concerts. But, I made sure not to miss SRV whenever he came within 80 miles. Saw the great one four times.

Great chops man....Dig the improv at the end as well. You played this quite well overall. I would say that it really goes to show SRV's strength on his emphasis when he played. Every movement and nuance was emotionally played and intended. Kudos, imagine having to play that nightly..lol
