The gear I use in this video includes:
3000 Shimano BB Essence with 10lb PowerPro Slick 8 braid and 20lb leader.
Shimano BB HardRocker S832 MH rod.
The perfect combo for sending these lures across the flats.

Really looking forward to these new Lures I’ve ordered on off your page, plenty of big high tide flats that have always held some big girls, and on the last hour each side of a dropping tide, some awesome sand drains off the flats and bouncing plastics down the breakwalls is another hot spot! Love your genuine excitement for fishing, and mate, you need young Tommy to hook one up and get the little fella a bigger net! Great stuff mate!!

Epic session buzzing on that forever and more!....when I tell people about sessions like this they never take me seriously these sessions can haunt you though when you struggle in areas you smashed em!....next level stuff there you found the lost world.

WOW, Epic session champion, I thought I had a great day today catching 3 between 55 and 60 cm and two bream, but that puts my session to shame, amazing work Johnny, well deserved for all the effort you put into designing the soft glide, great to see others smashing them too, I am finally getting a heavier rod next week , and i will be getting out my two packets of soft glides , to finally try them out, can't wait,

Giant flatty Gods are smiling down on you mate. Thank you for helping get the word out about the Slot Limit for Dusky Flathead in NSW. Your support of the regulations got it across the line and many anglers in NSW will have a greater chance now of catching one of these magnificent beasts. I now hope that the NSW guys get behind you and buy one of these killer lures. Its truly a no brainer if you want to be successful in encountering one of these special fish.
What a sesh ay I'll have to get me some of soft gliders I've been trying to do a similar thing with big zman jerk baits have had some results but nothing like that your a legend well done HAPPY DAYS 👍

Hey mate I got a packet of these soft glides, first session with them caught and released a 72cm in 6 inches of water. Holy it's alot of fun and very visual. Loved it.
Can’t wait to receive mine, epic session, congratulations on such beautiful big girls in great condition and returned to fight on.
With that 30min tip video ; is that how to fish your soft glide? Edit: perfect you explained it in the video. Got two to try.
Man these soft glides are something else, ten minutes into the session today using a gar and got a 55cm. Changed to the whitening and got hit by a much bigger one on the first cast. Cut me off close to the boat, stupidly only using 14lb leader 😢.. lesson learnt. Put a gar back on and got another 49cm within a few minutes. Awesome!

My biggest flathead was 182cm long and about 50cm across and 20cm round
I’m so impressed. Been watching you for years. So pumped you have your own online store. I just ordered some soft glides. How often do you find you need to replace the bodies on them? Also what’s your favourite colour. I ordered the baby flathead one. I like darker over white but curious what your go to is.

Mate!!! My pb was 83cm and that was a rare catch! After your 85cm I was like “yep, that’s all the fish on this vid” then you pulled up another 80! I’m like “no way!!!”….. then towards the end you got the 90. My jaws almost dropped to the ground…….. “wtf”!!!!???? 😂😂😂🤣🤣

Aren't those Flathead in good condition, as the old saying goes "drought on land is a drought at sea" I think it's safe to say that drought it well and truly broken with the numbers of fish being caught this year. Great session once again John, when are you bringing out a T-shirt with my favourite saying of yours's "Jack Fishing it Hurts Soooooooooo Good" on it mate. Put the kids at school in art class to work on it, winner gets a Lure Box for motivation or you can open it up to your followers on UA-cam and social media.

What size rod do you use and braid. Please. Great video to watch.
Thanks Barry I use An 8’3 Hard Rocker by Shimano. It’s about 6-10kg. The braid I like is 10lb with a 20lb leader :)

Spear fished them twice that size but still good sized lizard try break walls in northern NSW for some reason there bigger at the river mouths an break walls you'll get lizards over meter and a half I think bigger flaty's leave the river estuary an head to the the river mouths because of more food available at break walls
