Great to see Holt Production lures doing the trick for you John, a bit of a warm up for the Flathead Classic. I was wondering how his new Violet colour was going to go, I'm sure it'll work just as good as the Motor Oil you were using.
Hey when I catch a flathead In the boat I put a wet towel or some wet rag over them and use that to grab them and pick them up and has always worked well untill the lure gets tangled in it but no biggy
Awesome fishing Johnny. I don't care about any kind of fishing other than flattie fishing. I bloody love it mate. Please take Tommy fishing soon. I love how he is already a better angler than me at his young age and the interaction between you both and his enthusiasm to keep and eat them. I've noticed your keeping a few more lately and have no doubt that this is mostly driven by the young champion's incessant request for you to do so. Cheers mate.
Nice session. I have just got my boat organised and have the next week off so plan on hitting the Tweed for some flattie action myself. It’s a cool little rig I think you might be interested in :)
love to know if that cylindrical device that you put your lure in is for covering in scent if so great idea , any chance you can tell me where you get them , or what there called . great videos mate PAT

Great video mate, I took your advice and headed up the tweed for some jacks the other weekend but unfortunately had to cut it short because of the boat races haha. i reckon flatties are next on the list though, what water depth were you guys fishing here ? cheers 👍👍
What you said is kind of true, I do think the action is a tiny bit stiff. However, I have tried holt prawns and they work really well on flathead. Hopping them aggressively then pause could entice the fish. I haven't yet seen a scenario where other lures can catch fish while the holt prawns can't.
@@mylurebox New sub, love your content & mindset to so many different lure applications. You are making an older slacker keen again. I believe sometimes on a semi tight line dropping that prawn down at a 45 degree angle makes those legs work exceptionally well & vibrate in a life like manner. My theory anyway. Just watched a vid on skip casting & am determined to learn that technique. Those patches of flatty are the males hanging around a female i believe.

Redfish, trout ect aren’t strong fish, thin gauge hooks work great. Aussie fish destroy hooks that is unfortunately bad for hook points deformation Makes slim swimZ 2.5 1/4 ounch heavy gauge less effective although they still catch meter plus flathead fish consistently but less bream. I do prefer to catch a 48cm plus bream over a meter plus flathead any day
Old mate in the background " yup" 😂
I absolutely love the colours on these flatties, you can just see how well they camouflage in the mud
Me too ;) the longer you look, the more impressive they are I reckon. Cool stuff eh
So cool Johny keep up the cracking work and nice shot of me boat and all the rods in it haha ready for anything

Support without saying support. I like how you roll ;) 💪 Go Holt!

Halco laser pro 120 with the -1 meter deep bib is an awesome shallow estuary or beach gutter lure
Great video, I love seeing people using holt productions stuff on youtube because it is so hard to find videos of people using them.
There’s gonna be a few up there from now on ;)

Ran into ya at the boat ramp yesterday morning , bloke with way to many rods , hope ya had a cracking day , got a few lizards on the flats
Yes mate bloody oath we could definitely have more rods haha
The bait is highly recommended, my boss, steady soul, greetings to the fishing rod
Great vid John , my Holt motor oil plastics arrived Friday but it’ll be hard to move away from your soft glide at the moment. Gotta beat that 85 PB 😜🎣
Love to hear it Nick. So stoked you’re loving em mate
Keep up the good work mate
Love you fishing content. What is the name of your sent application tube and where can you get them. Thanks
It's called a Stinkfinger scent applicator. I've seen them on ebay but if you google it I'm sure you'll find a range of places to choose from 👍

awesome session boys, great video,
Great session mate. Just wondering what size holt prawn you were using? Was it a 2 inch or a 3 inch? Cheers.
They’re the 3 inch ones Luke ;) cheers mate
👍
Great video mate, wish I could fish aswell as you
Quick question with the stink finger do they come with the scent on them?
Hey John, love your work mate, just out of Curiosity. Have you ever tried the plazo 3 3/4 inch, shrimp, Carolina pumking? Flatty love em...

Hi John, Do you use a gel type scent with the Stinky Finger scent applicator? Many thanks
Hi Evan, I got Stink Finger to load it with a cocktail of scents. Since then I just pump it with S - Factor. What’s your go to?
Hey John, silly question but where are your pliers from like the colours
What size motor oil swim prawn where you using

What's in the box that you press the soft plastic into?
Just watched the whole video so now know what it's for!🤣🤣

I can quite decide for the coloured jig head yet. I’m a fan but haven’t done enough with em up the pin to get a proper gauge. Makes sense but

I've never had too much success on the Holt prawns. I find them really stiff with very little action, it's like throwing a dead weight. Any tips?

Thanks Lucas ;) my thoughts too. These are legit one of my favourite estuary lures. Aggressive sharp rips does the trick
