John the start with the drone was cool, more of that while fishing. i was smiling all the way with ur excitement, great sesh mate. John u should fish the Fitzroy at Rocky. its been net free for many years and the quality of barra n Threadies has improved each year. one last thing mate after filleting dont throw the frames cook them the same as the fillets. there is a lot of meat and tastes really gud.

Hey man love the vid keep it up. Just a suggestion try coconut cooking oil spray for the midgies/ sandflies. It's all I use when up the creeks and boat ramps up the sandy straights! My dad told me about it as the job he did for 40+ years involved bulk sandflies and it's all that worked for him! Just try it you will be impressed but where ever you don't put it they will find.. good luck brother!

Awesome video Champion, loving the content, just wanted to ask a question about flathead on surface lures, can you still get them in winter with big bent minnows , or do they shut down in the colder months?
Mate they go all year round from what I’ve seen. I get more action in Late Spring but I was also doing more of it round that time. They still get onto em ;)

Mate there were 3 reef Sharks right out front of camp, as soon as the head lamps were on they swam off the bank and couldn’t get a thing…. No way I wasn’t gonna fish in the dark up here too. Hahaa. So it was a tough one. The place is loaded though. 🦈 🐊
