    Hi,
    I am currently working in France and have CDI salarie visa. I got new job and I am satisfying all EU blue card visa eligibility. At present my new employer has applied for an employer name change and informed me the visa will get updated in 2 months time and after that I will be applying for EU blue card visa status. How much time will it take to convert into EU blue card

    What happens if you already have the B1 or higher level German language certificate when entering the countey? Can that be used as proof of proficiency or would you be required to take another exam?

      @@Carla369 The embassy required that I show that my work will be conducted in English, despite having a B2 certificate. As the certificate was older than 6 months as if logically speaking you forget to speak the language at level, however that their rule. But thanks for your reply after the fact.

      @@emilek1938 for visa purposes the certificate cannot be older than 6 months by the time one applies for the visa at the embassy of your home country, but if you don't need a visa it's a moot point. Then again different countries have different rules. I'd suggest checking with your local embassy website or email them if the information is not started on their website. For South Africa yes the certificate cannot be older than 6 months when one applies for a visa, otherwise you will need confirmation from your employer that your work is conducted in English as was the case for me.

    Hello. Thanks for all the info. I need a little clarification. Could you please tell if it's mandatory to have a related degree? I have a Bachelor in textiles but then switched into IT.     @maneeshamukhi when you say after 12months, which means the date of issue in the blue card or the date joining the company. Normally blue card are issue after 6months in Poland. I got my card on Dec 2022 and I joined my company on 6 June 2022.i am going to complete 1year as per joining date. Now I got offer in Netherland. Can I transfer my blue card in this case?

    If I got it right, the EU Blue Card is only for highly professional and extraordinary persons who are going to be paid with big cash.
    This card doesnt work for civil engineers or architects who usually dont earn that much like 50000€ or more instantly.

    I am based in the USA and want to work a 4 month job in Sicily, Italy. I don't think I would qualify for the EU Blue card because the minimum is 6 months and this job is only 4 months. The digital nomad visa also seem like the wrong choice. What should I do

    Hi! Thank you for the useful video! I am appying for the blue card in Germany, and I am compiling the documents. However I have doubts regarding my degree certificate. The page says: 'We will need to see the original degree certificate or a copy either notarised by a notary public or certified by the issuing academic institution.'.
