They're both a pleasure but I actually can feel the 432 in my body more. It's as if I can feel it going thru and affecting it in a comforting way.

i had the feeling that 440 sounded very nice at the beginning, but the first sounds on 432 make me directly feel much lovelier and the following melodies I felt that 440 sounded very cold. Thank you for the great video. I am definitely going to buy 432hz! Grazie!
In my opinion, the 440 tuned one was a bit more cheery and outgoing while 432 was a bit more melancholic in terms of sound.
The 432 Hz gets on my nerve, keeps me on alert. The 440 Hz clams me, gets me into the music. The 440 Hz is definitely for me. Thank you for this demonstration!

Oddly I agree, that was my first impression as well. It just 'feels wrong' and gives me a subtle anxiety/alertness.
I noticed it right away. The A gave me no feelings inside, didnt move me. The B one resonated with my whole beeing in the instant i heard it.

Best comparison that I have seen - I find the 432 much smoother and calming over the 440
440 Hz consists of more unique and higher prime numbers.
That's because 432 resonates much more directly with water, and we are mostly water! 432 is the standard in which music should be played as it is the frequency of the earth. It will always sound more soothing and natural (:
I agree! I tried relaxing when listening to each, 432 I relaxed deeply, but with 440 I could not relax, I was surprised.

I felt 440hz more pleasent for my ears, you can clearly distinguish the notes, high and low, the 432hz don't. But at the other way, I felt that the 440hz in some melodies was pretty tense, and 432hz ressonates was not. Btw the sound of 432hz kinda ressonated with my chest.
both had their moments, there were a few spots on the 432 pan that were slightly atonal/dischordant but the separation between highs and lows were cleaner sounding in general. The 440 sounded as you would expect. Both seem good to me.

I'm so used to 440, when I hear 432 it feels off tuned somehow.
440 sounded more crisp, but the 432 different sounds seemed to blend and harmonize better....

I found the darker excitement of open-ended mystery blossoming in response to the music played on the instrument tuned to 440; whereas the one tuned to 432 was more in the ordinary realm. I'm not a trained musician, so even the idea of this was totally new for me. Like many creative expressions, the internal, subjective experience will inevitably peak differently among people; and even over time with the same person. Thank you for this experience!
The 440 sounded deep, earthy, sentimental. The 432 sounded lofty, elegant, divine. Both are beautiful in their own ways

Having "been born with perfect pitch" it makes the difference quite noticeable.
I keep getting infrequent reminders of 432, and lately I've been wanting to get back into playing instruments. I might just do that, and tune everything to 432hz scale.
Took me awhile to do that as well. Now all my instruments, mandolins, guitars, balalaika's are all tuned 432 Hz and our folk group plays exclusively in that frequency. Interestingly playing small group concerts no one has even questioned this change. They just seem to enjoy the music. Mind you it's Gypsy, Greek, Choro folk songs and not Bluegrass. Recently Italian bell makers made a huge bell to signify harmony between all the nations of the world. They tuned the bell to 432 Hz.

This was probably the best 400 vs 432 comparison I have heard yet. It made clear to me that 440 is the correct tuning frequency. The overtones & harmonics work so much better at 440. The 432 pan had dissonant tones & harmonics in it in every note. Thank you much!

@google owns you I'm not sure 'habit' is a real factor here, it also might just be taste. Like some people like banana's, others like apples.. I've listened to these recordings multiple times in different order and personally I can't really say I like one over the other. They are just slightly different.

Thank you very much for this comparison. The 432hz, for me, has a special spheric sound wich gave me goosebumps. Would be in interesting to see how animals in natur/forest do react to the difference.

Same here. Both are beautiful. 440 Hz seems to be more accelerating for my body, 432 Hz hat a deeper calming effect. So I'd say it depens which effect you want to have and the melody itself …
(I just have to talk myself into the very fresh purchase of my tuned to 440 Hz hahaha)

Since I heard the melodies, I knew that Handpan B was tuned 432 Hz. I have certain confidence while comparing both frequencies. I don't know, like 440 Hz makes me feel tense in some way. The first melody made me confirm that, and I loved melodies sound in B, specially for the first and last melodies you played. Thanks for bringing such comparison!
440 hz is more attention! 432 hz is more natural tuning, can play in background, less of a disturbance. Common sense.

I liked the B's so glad. I suppose 440 is more technical, hence the reason they went with that, but the 432 is more natural and soothing. And when you see it in the sand vibration box, it is even more complete and beautiful. :)

I had the impression that the "A" was the 432 because it sounded higher frequency to me.
I personally liked more A, 440Hz, maybe because I have perfect pitch and it resonates with my internal musical memories without dissonance ;)
Man i hope i bought the 432hz that sound just hits me more >.< gotta wait like 40 days until it arrives here in the netherlands
A seemed to have more echo so filled up the space and blended. B seemed more flat. I think what instrument is being played may matter a lot. I just heard the a similar comparison for guitar and liked guitar at 432hz, but i prefer your handpan at 440hz. Maybe some instruments sound better blended and some sound better clear and precise so that each note is distinct.

I've noticed the difference more in the 3th and 5th melodies. I feel the 432Hz is richer
it resonates a litle bit more, the difference between high and low ones is wider.
Finally first time the difference is so obvious, i can send it to anyone who says the is no diff at 432hz! :) It not only I could tell 432hz pan, but there is much more cohesion and blend on it. It talk to itself and more musical (whatever musical means for the hangpan). Its more effective to the music made with hangpan specifically. And gorgeous tunes too, Loris!

I like 432 but every fiber of my trained ear says 440 is "correct". So many years of training makes me feel 432 is a little low, which is sad cause it sounds so much better.

Per quanto riguarda la musica ho avuto una preferenza spontanea per la A....forse e perche ho sempre ascoltato musica gotica cold wave ? Il pezzo A e più profondo più dark...il pezzo B è più luminoso più cristallino. Grazie per questo ottimo video👍🏻

They are both beautiful sounding , as a musician, I could tell which was 443 , and was leaning toward 440 as my favorite , until I heard the last 443 melody . That one really demonstrates the overtones and pitch vibrations , really nicely played.

It is so weird but hearing the melodies on B made me feel a tingling sensation in my chest and throat.
not so weird at all, 432Hz is directly connected to the Shumann resonance, Earth is vibrating at 7.83Hz and so all the creatures does the same, this is why an instrument or an entire song played at 432Hz is more armonic to us and of course to animals and plants aswell :) Some studies also declare that music tuned at 432Hz has healty effect, while music tuned at 440 not.

Io non sono un esperto, ma sentendo il suono B percepivo effettivamente un benessere, tipo una sensazione di respirare aria più fresca ( in parole semplici) e poi una sensazione strana al centro della fronte, scoprendo solo alla fine del video che lo strumento B suonava a 432hz, bella sensazione.

Thank you! The 432 really sounds "wrong" BUT it gives a better feeling in the body - like it seems to be better for me but I seem to be used to hear the 440 so the 432 appeals "wrong" in my ears - though my body likes these frequency (432) more....

Strumento A eccita! Strumento B rilassa! Inconfondibile!! Almeno per me..
Musician/Composer here. I find A432 more aligned to my inner voice, which is to say that the sense of it sits well within my voice. Therefore, and since Music itself is first and foremost of a vocal conception, it would follow that A432 is more aligned to the source. But that my career as a composer has spanned 50 years, and I have never given a thought to it, I doubt that I will think all that much about it again after this. My point: I mostly hear the sounds I imagine and go from there. And, for the past two decades, I have written all my music using a piano despairingly in need of tuning. Not that I really know why beyond saying it tests my sense of pitch, do I prefer it that way. For a tuner to enter my music room and fix it would likely dismantle my world, but more my inner world of Silence versus Sound.

Wow, I was convinced pan A was 432, as it made me smile involuntarily and feel a sense of mystery, while the other left me in my head. A sounded organic and mesmerising. B felt colder and less 'blended'....the notes seemed more shrill. Weird. That's totally the opposite of how each frequency should have effected me, based on the theory anyway. I wonder though if hearing through a computer effects things? I feel like the differences would be much more valid hearing it live.

It's funny - everybody seems to like the 432 more, but I am much more drawn to 440 - it lifts up my spirit whereas the 432 is kind of melancholic in my ears, making me feel a bit sad actually. Lol but I guess that's the wonders of instruments - there's nothing right or wrong, it's just about what touches you most.

Premesso che essendo abituati a sentire ogni cosa accordata a 440 hz, è piu facile che uno scelga l' Handpan a 440hz solo per una questione di abitudine.
Personalmente io preferisco quello a 432hz perchè a livello di sensazione, mi ha dato subito una gran pace.

If I had to guess I'd say A was 432 n B was 440 because I liked A more.. n I thought it's because of all that sacred geometry stuff.. but I am musician and am used to 440 .. n may be that's why my ear preferred A over B.. but in my mind I would that 432 was supposed to sound better .. but I actualy preferred 440 instrument A! ( thinking it was 432 untill the end of video) what a surprise it was to find out its not!
I like the 432 better, but it's close. I noticed A sounded more 'traditional' and initially liked it more, but later I liked the B better. I don't know how much of this is just because the 440 has been programed in to sound 'right' and my brain is used to that frequency. After it became clear that B had more resonance though.
It's clear, A is meant to trap you in the music while B is meant to make your mind race and think. I'm not a bird in a cage, I'll take B, whichever it is

Grazie per la bellissima dimostrazione. Ho ascoltato il video diverse volte, a capo chino, interrompendolo prima della spiegazione finale. Ma, anche senza essere un musicista, ho "indovinato" la frequenza del primo handpan (440 Hertz), fin dal fin dalle prime note. Soltanto quando hai finalmente cambiato strumento, ho ritrovato il piacere di un suono che definirei più morbido, assolutamente preferibile, per me.
