I've been watching your videos for a while... I am from Sweden and you could probably buy every single piece you mention online here at least... Keep on fighting, you are just proving that you dont need online stuff.
Well impressed, having a Volvo 740 estate myself needing some TLC. Your videos are very informative and entertaining, a combination very few other channels achieve. Also the potential of an accident, due to the way you work, adds some drama.Click bait not needed for your content. On a serious note, keep safe and i wish you well with your channel.
Nice work and quite entertaining! Looking forward to seeing part 3. I did almost all of this work on my 940 about two months ago. Had to remove the sills on both sides entirely and was more surprised about the rust behind it. 😮 but now it is about to last another 25 years😅
@@bakedbeansgarage116 yeah, you did a great job on the old brick. If it weren't for you it would of wounded up in a junkyard, salt honestly needs to be replaced by something in the futures that will keep the roads safe while also not harming the cars metalwork.
Hello! I have a question. Could you please clarify what spring you used on the rear arm? I found springs from a Jeep Grand Cherokee, they have 9 turns and are 16 inches high. In your video I counted 12 turns. what is their height? Thank you in advance.
Thanks bud! Thanks for the kind words! In all reality, I have an issue that makes me sweat way too goddamn much. Going barefoot helps when it's warm, but my caveman ass will honestly wear shoes in the winter.
They must have changed it at some point during the production run. I did notice that the original calipers had them inserted from the outside. Either that or it's just a difference from remanufacturing. Either way, it works!
hi excellent video 3min 19 sec you show the top spring mounts washers large top hat type washers can you buy these new over there not available in uk yours look brand new mine are badly rusted out mu car will be failing mot if i can't get any ,can you please help me find some
I'll keep an eye out, but 700 series cars seldom show up in salvage yards here. You could probably get the same result with a steel plate and a spacer to retain the upper insulator.
Hard to find people who post quality and in depth wrenching vids on these old volvos. Great vid!
Not sure how I missed this one. Great vid
“It’s not my money, so who cares” 😂 It’s coming along beautifully. The rear end turned out great. Love to see it, can’t wait for more.
Love to see you

Boy - I wish I had your skills - superb video - Thank you
Thanks, bud!
Gotta say; one of the best car UA-camrs out there in my opinion

Very good job thanks
Nice episode, now for me to start welding on my 740 ,great entertainment, thanks
Nice vid 👍
I was patiently waiting for a new video and I happened to find it now! Quality over quantity B. B.
Thanks man! Hopefully when busy season at work is over I can up the quantity and keep the quality.

Very interesting content again. Thank you!!
Video of this FrankenRear was both entertaining & informative. Maybe a little more montages & pyrotechnics. maybe less feet & lube. Bravo
Can't wait to see part 3.
Anyways I love your videos
Hey your 740 rear end, I'm 98% positive a dana 30 gasket fits that rear end, the centers are identical.
Thanks for the info!
yes, summit sells a reusable lubelocker gasket for a dana 35

your background music keeps me thinking. nothing wrong with it, just very interesting choice ;)...have you ever heard Sibelius?
The exact reason I always keep a spool of flux core in my cabinet. Good enough to finish a job, bad enough to not keep it in there
I do the same, but with as thin as that rocker was, I wasn't about to trust myself lol.
@@bakedbeansgarage116 totally understandable, flux is very unforgiving
All this crust gives me motivation to repair my car😅. Unbelievably good content as always, keep up the good work😌. Btw. Do you always work barefoot?

The brake pins should be hammered in from ourside in not inside out but it makes no different in the long run 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

What's the crown and pinion count?
what size shoe do you wear?
What are those calipers? Brand and part number? They look remarkably similar to the front calipers on my Capri.
They're OEM Volvo, I believe made by Girling or Bendix, couldn't tell you an OEM part number.
Do you have any rear main seal videos?
I did it in the engine rebuild video, but that won't help much if you need to do it in the car.
