Mr Qualls was a man amongst men, who bought a car amongst cars. When you need that Hemi refreshed you should call Nick at Nick's Garage up here in Canada - he's the man
I was born in Brooklyn,N.Y. now live in New Jersey. I know of Nick's Garage and Nick a fellow Mopar "Nut".......Sometimes Nick will get weak and work on a Chevy or Ford, but, he is 90% Mopar !!!!
From a Cop to a true hero cop, God bless your father young man , it's a blessing that you're keeping your father's legacy with this car. I'm a 2nd owner of a 69 Dodge Charger and have owned the car for 34 yrs. I know my son's will continue my legacy as well.
I would have LOVED to meet and spend time with Mr. Qualls,Sr........In Brooklyn, N.Y. starting in May 1969, we had a Hemi RoadRunner and we did in N.Y.C. what Mr. Qualls did in Detroit. At around the same time. I was 17 at the time he bought his Challenger............I KNOW that Mr. Qualls has a heavenly version of his beloved Challenger and he is street racing in Heaven with the Lord !!!
Sometimes, you are fortunate enough to hear a story about a true hero. Me. Qualls, thank you for your service. We are truly better for hearing this story. You have made a wonderful impression on your son and hopefully for all who read this. Please please, continue to tell this story.
The story of The Black Ghost needs to be known. Driven by a hero ... Hollywood could never manage to tell such a tale so it is up to us, the petrol-head public to spread the word. ... she IS a beauty 😍, thanks Gregory for letting us see her
lol, 14 second car back in its day. prolly high 14 or low 15 now. Every car has a story, it's just how you dress up the story. the buyer got suckered. son, dodge, mecum, new owner are all in on the scam for the next car movie. the son is a story teller and a film maker.
@@M1Concourse Can anyone provide any contemporaneous mention of the car from back in the day? The car shown is stock and not built for racing and the story is apparently just some fake marketing BS.
We can now confirm that it won't be at Woodward Dream Show in 2023 because it was sold in May of 2023 at Mecum Auctions. Our connection was with the original owner.
@@auldphart7912 We weren't there to witness the races so we have to take the story on truth, directly from the owner in the video. We also don't think he would lie about the stories and keep that "lie" going for multiple interviews throughout the years. But, alas, we don't have any concrete, contemporaneous mention of the car from back in the day.
That's exactly what he's doing. A fictional story of a 14 second bone stock street racer that defies the laws of physics to be the baddest car on the road. 😂😅

@@GQ234 Thanks for sharing your fathers legacy - it is truly inspirational

Along with the Silver Bullet, a true Wooward Ave. legend...thanks for posting!
Our pleasure!
A bone stock 14 second "legend". The son is a liar.

His son literally spun this bullshit tale and is making it into a movie with his production company.
The car is going to be for sale in a Meachem auction in the spring
Sold for almost $1m
I can't believe he sold it...wild why would you?!

@@M1Concourse Great investigative reporting.

This guy needs to make a movie of his dads car asp.

Do you know if your father ever run up against Jimmy Addison and his Silver Bullit?
@@moosejawventure Lol...true.
The Silver Bullet. Edited to delete unsubstantiated information. Thank P-form.
The Black Ghost story is absolutely not documented.....it's a made up story
I would love to see any contemporaneous mention of the "Black Ghost", it's a fake story.
So Did His Father Tape The $100 Bill To The Dashboard?
PLEAE RESTORE IT!!!!
Legendary.
Don't touch it just drive it
hey buddy sorry but you forgot to mention the MOST IMPORTANT PART,, your dad was in VIETNOM,, C MON thats what made your dad ,,,,
Fake
Background music is super cringy and annoying
This video didn't age well. The reputation of the car has been embellished beyond belief by the son and then he "took the money" and ran.
