Everybody loved the custom modified Marinsult E Bike! And loads of you asked me to ride this insanely fast machine around my new backyard supercross pitbike track, which has been so much on the CRF125, so we had a race using the new Helfarm fastest lap time leaderboard, the KLX110 and the Marinsult mountain bike. The thing is so insane to ride but so funny.
Enjoy the crashes and funny POV angles of the race. Who should come and ride this backyard build?

You definitely need to get sam pilgrim round on his surrons and his electric bikes and pit bikes
That would be epic
you need a narrow wide chain ring and a modified chain guide to work with the Bafang mid drive to stop the chain drops. Second get yourself a 52v or bigger battery. It will have even more power. You'll need to check the controller and display can handle the extra voltage. 52v should be fine I would think.
Stock bafang should be good to 60v. If you want to add *power* you don't add V but you add A. A 72v setup would increase top speed, not power. Increasing voltage increases motor rpm, increasing amps increases the amount of power / torque you're getting.
You can get these to 50A, which with a stock 48v battery would already be 2.4Kw of power ( 2400W ). Could push that well over 3000W with a 52v battery since at maximum charge the pack should be 58.8 volts at maximum charge. Stock controllers don't like voltages over 60v. There are 3rd party controller replacements which will accept 72v packs.
Pushing some more amps ( and installing a proper narrow-wide and chain retention for the bbshd ) through that thing it would do much better as a dirt track 'bike'.
Pro tip: Start using the back brake on the Honda while in the air to drop the nose into the landings. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Keep going with the timer board episodes like Top Gear and use it to test ONLY pit or Ebikes! That would be GREAT to see after a year or two of episodes!

You should have 2 sections on your time leaderboard.
1 section for strictly pit bike lap time. For you and all your friends to have times on. And compete.
And
2nd section for, just Matt’s times in different vehicles, to see which bike or whatever you take around the track is the fastest.

you would love a surron on that track uno fella its the ultimate shredder for a mountain biker - could bring in a load of new viewers too, the ron would probably pay for its self.. also jono has to give the marinsult a go after him climbing trees on the stink E 😂
love the marinsult! It needs smaller wheels front and back for obvious reasons. Some kind of battery mod for even more power would be nice, but a decent rear mech and chain guide is more important.
Would be really cool to see you guys racing 3 Surron e-bikes around the track. They would definitely beat the pit bikes and way more like mountain bikes.
Once again Matthew I'll reiterate that you need to invite Tommy Searle and Billy Bolt over for some racing and all round wheeled fun. I reckon Billy will have the Marinsult singing
This was very Marinteresting. The front tire gets very Marintimate with the battery, it looks like quite a Marintense experience.
Surely an invite needs to go out to Pilgs, Odub and Brendan in the one sesh. When those maniacs get together, it’s always carnage.

It'd be awesome if the track had a start straight with some of those remote controlled gates !! You can find start gates that interconnect to a button on your handlebars that after its pressed it sets off a trigger in the gates that makes them randomly drop at any time within 15 seconds. That would make for some proper intense and injury prone starts lol
You should buy surrons to race the pit bike track they are a blast! Feel like a motorbike but also feel like a push bike it’s the best

Y'all should check out the electric Surron bikes. They seem to be a cross between a traditional mountain bike and dirt bike. They apparently have a distributor in the UK.
