I feel like you need some kind of cover for the helmet for when the bag gets dry. The bag material and shiny surface of the helmet probably grip together when you crash rather than sliding which probably doesn't help. Some kind of cloth cover over the helmet would let it slide more even if it looks weird. It's why helmets have that 'MIPS' in them (POC has S.P.I.N which sounds similar). Anything that stops your head from having to stop suddenly is a good thing.

Hard luck on that fall, think that you may be right about doing stuff like that on a wet bag so you slick if you fall.
