What else is amazing is that none of them could read or write musical charts, but they knew every note and could perform it for other musicians to follow and work with them, even whole orchestras!!!
Everything they did was awesome...as you know, Chad! They Always wrote the melody, and did not deviate!! I know you’re getting to Odessa, please absolutely don’t miss the symphony in the middle!!
I love just hearing them speak as much as I love their singing. I search UA-cam for interviews to watch just to hear their voices. I could listen to them for hours! 🙂🙂🙂💖💖💖
You know what make them genuis They know when everyone of them when to sing and what to sing They can at with their voice dj credibly wright Great song
Although I watch a lot of videos on how The Bee Gees created their lyrics to the music, I hadn’t seen this one. Thanks, Chad! It’s always a treat to see something new and your reactions are always spot on. You truly appreciate the genus of these three brothers! Enjoying you along with this incredible music. 🥰
Each of the three have his own distinct voice, one can actually tell ir predict who among rhem is singing or leading rhe song... Their voice together are making an awesome angelic harmony.
They have impacted so many people's lives and put smiles on so many people's faces....if you're feeling blue or anything their songs can put a smile on your face... it's hard not to smile when you hear their songs and hear them sing. Their music still is listened to today 60 years later... Now that is a great band.
I heard in an interview with the Beegees that after they had the melody and the idea for the song that they would sit down and write the lyrics before they recorded the song. They did things differently than most songwriters...but it worked fantastically for the Beegees. Best group of musicians and songwriters and singers ever...there will never be another band that compares to the Beegees in my humble opinion. Great reaction....thanks Chad....feel better soon 😊
Bee Gee = Brothers Genius. They just melt the hearts of their fans. I love seeing Barry do these sessions especially Tragedy. He is so talented. Hydrate yourself and rest Chad, thanks for the reviews.
Chad- I have to say, it's such a pleasure to have watched your Bee Gee journey. I remember your first video of them and how you were so blown away. At that point you weren't sure of names, who was who, thought Barry was always lead singer and were only disco. Then you went down the proverbial Bee Gee hole, which is the best ride ever, watching you become a converted Bee Gee fan to now recognizing the legends that they are and the HUGE impact they've made both in the past and currently with new fans discovering them and feeling deeply moved by as them as we all are. It's been a real pleasure. Thank you for allowing us to go on the ride with you. And if course there's more Bee Gee music out there. A few I've reccomended as I'm sure others have as well. Looking forward to the continued journey.
Fun fact: they never learned to read or write music, hence why they don't have sheet music in front of them while they filmed the rehearsals. Chords are all being played by memory. The definitive version is then written out on sheet paper by someone in order for the band and/or session musicians to play. That's also one of the reasons they write music in this order. For them it's easier to adjust the words, rather then changing notes, chords or structures.
They wrote ToocMuch Heaven, Tragedy and Shadow Dancing ( for Andy) in 1 day. Also heard an interview where they said songs come to them in the air. They already exist, they just receive them.
It’s interesting that Robin’s speaking voice was so deep, yet he could sing so high. It’s also interesting that Robin (?) came back with lyrics written for a man. He clearly didn’t follow instructions and it turned out great. Artists gotta art.
Wow, i see/hear this reaction for the first time. Unbeleafeble, fantastic how they work and come together. I love and apprecieet them even more and offcorss you too for your lovely reaction. How is it possible that everytime they amazing me, my goodness how i love these guy's;-)
I love their warmth and creative spirit that these brothers have. I agree with you Chad they are musical genius but I also think they are truly perfectionist and have always drawn in a large crowd of genuine fans all over the world. Those voices are just captivating. I really enjoyed your reaction thanks
🥀They couldn't read music from what I've heard from them on other shows, interviews. They both are Blessed with such powerful vocals and music too me they are the best in the music industry 🥀☝️🥀
I bought the book "You Should Be Dancing- My Life With the Bee Gees" by Dennis Bryon, the drummer for many years. There is a small snippet of the book which talks about seeing their writing process. As he says, they had this intuitive thing that went on between them, and the songs seemed to come from nowhere, to a beautiful melody. The lyrics would follow later.
They will FOREVER be My #1 choice for music, along with Andy. A lot of us realized when we first saw them, there was much more to them than most other singers/artists. Those of us that saw it, were instant fans and decided to stay loyal. Their music will live on forever. Bee Gees, #1!!!!
Thank you for reacting to this song one of my favorites. There are many videos out there showing how they wrote their songs. First the idea, title, melody than the words. They freaked out Arif Mardin when they walked in a studio with no song and wrote on the spot. For you own enjoyment watch the making of "Tragedy" another where the words came last. There will never be another group more talented than the Bee Gees, Barry is still with us, I hope the twins knew how loved they were and still are. Feel better Chad
Chad, "the Making of..This is Just Where I Came In" is another great behind the scenes clip. It is comical and fun to watch! The brothers, along with English actor/good friend David English, have a great time! You will enjoy it!
❤️❤️ them so much. Just a talented, inspirational group of brothers that gave the world a lot while they were here as a group and Barry still giving what he can.

This was amazing, seeing how they actually put their songs together unbelievable... Loved it so much even though it made me cry.. Robin, Maurice and Andy are missed so very much...
Chad, what a great reaction! And yes, they always came up with the melody first and then wrote the lyrics. It drove the guys in the recording studio a little crazy at times because they thought the same way, lyrics first and then the melody. Another example of their musical genius can be seen in the making of "Tragedy". Check out that one, Chad, and I hope you feel better soon.
@@suekilpatrick4758 - Barry said Robin was a terrific lyricist especially due to his wide vocabulary and knowledge. Mo was the musical wizard who found the right chords and harmony.

We can hear their natural vocal calls undisturbed by outside influences. We can see them interacting as a family unit in their unique social milieu." Actually that is true. We are seeing inside a rare phenomenon and a species of genius and how they create together intuitively and pull melodies, music and lyrics out of thin air! Barry's is pleasant and has just a hint of what might be considered a lisp, no offense intended (he didn't speak until he was older due the trauma of having severe burns as a toddler) and Robin's was quite nasal, clipped and "pinched". Their speaking voices did resonate in their singing. Very cool how Barry starts singing and Robin just naturally knows what harmony to apply @4:20. Have never seen this before.
