Check your brochure ..essentials oil is not to be mixed directly into the water...oil will damage the inside of your machine motor. .there is a small opening like a drawer pull it out in fill the oil there. I have a machine like yours. If im wrong sorry. I stand corrected. I use vinegar into the water 2 table spoon since the oils are expensive.. ty

after a few months of using this humidier, it produced annoying sound, like a motor sound. that"s why I stopped using it
