- Just found out about dinosaurs. Apparently there were animals that were kinda like regular animals but different and big and dead and they got bones in 'em.

"Being hit by a mosesaurus,
would be a bitch"
"Moses and I were still trying to understand reptiles."
As a huge nerd who studies paleontology for fun
I can confirm, being bit by a mosasaurus WOULD be a bitch
He ain’t wrong per se,
1:13
This show literally did a study that confirmed being hit by a mosasaur would be so much of a bitch you would die.
the "but, what makes us think? Perhaps the brain?" delivery was golden

"God I wish that were me" is a stellar thing to hear Sir David Attenborough say
I love the joke that Sir David Attenborough is on DeviantArt, both of which have the acronym DA.
4:22
Let's all pour one out for dear departed Ted, the bizarre shaped scientist, who donated his skull for this program.
I like that David Attenborough went for a smoke break in the middle of a presentation on the most dinosaur animal. At least he was polite about it.
the smoke break didn't really pan out cuz no one had sigs :(((
Weird he doesn't carry his own cigarettes though
As an actual palaeontologist, can confirm it is impossible.
And that they got rekt
@@TheRealGridius By one tiny meteor strike. Lol.
Thank you paleontologists and everyone else who does science for everything that you do. 👍🏽
How often do you blast the song at the end of the video in your job?
@protocetid it's actually illegal not to
🎵"Everybody kill the dinosaur"🎵
I mean that's pretty much what happened...
Glad we can still enjoy Flynosaurs in 2022 though
who's going to tell him what year it is...
@@f4rtsman425Not sure the poor guy could handle it
" You got a fistfull of Flynosaur shit" 🎵
oh no, he's senile
"dogs have soup vision, the elephant has sauce bones, -and -ankylosaurs have saxophones"
i'm learning so much. i'm learning so much. i'm taking notes
Well, to find out, study.
The ankylosaur with the saxophone was my favorite part.
Of all the things I learned in school, nothing prepared me more for success in my adult life than the knowledge that Kylosaurus was the most dinosaur of any animal.
3:52
"To find out, study."
That's...genuinely great advice. Thank you Davenborough.
"Flynosaurs" is something I want to stick in my lexicon whenever I see a pterosaur
I don't know why, but the little flavor text of "Bassist, Dinosaur Jr." really got me lol.
I feel the pain of *dinosaur*
"Think of Shark Tale, but upside down" was the best quote
2:13
Didn't expect to see you here Rick
“What was that? Did someone say something about grapefruits? This behavior is unacceptable. I think I’ll go have a smokie.”
The way he said this just makes me laugh 😂
Basically me whenever my mum comes over and presumes to know what flavour fruit juice I like
4:26
David Attenborough: T-rex's eyes contained bombs. Perfect for nuclear vision.
Well, they certainly left that part out of the Jurassic Park movies.
I’m a big dinosaur realist and it really bothered me that there was a lack of feathers and eyes that were actual nuclear bombs.
@@ruthie8785 I get that you’re largely joking but like… there were plenty of feathers.
3:39
"Why were the dinosaurs the dinosaurs" (1:53)? I can answer that! The three bones that make up a dinosaur's hip had a very specific arrangement that supported a powerful upright stance but allowed cartilage to wear thin with age, creating a small hole called an acetabulum where the three bones met with the femur. This morphology was key to dinosaurs' Mesozoic dominance, but not optimal for survival, so the trait is confined to Clade Dinosauria and was evolved past by modern birds in the late Cretaceous.
The More You Know 🌈🌟
I thought it was a question about why they're called dinosaurs, more of the etymology of the word.
@@FHBStudio in that case the answer is a lot simpler: British paleontologists aren't very creative
@@johndoe6250 how so? I simplified slightly and I know this doesn't apply to all ornithischians or transitional species but it's overall pretty accurate
Birds are technically dinosaurs too. I'm sure you knew that. I seen this one cladogram that was very odd. It had the Amniote clade split into Lepidosaurs and Archosauriformes, with Archosaurs and Synapsids as sister groups. Kinda crazy huh?
I am absurdly happy that a DaThings Prehistoric Planet poop exists
i'm absurdly happy that any of dathings' YTPs exist
i'm absurdly EGG
@@swedneck were you a flynosaur?
i just finished watching season 2, perfect timing
thats more bizarre than absurd i think
All the talking heads have names that are anagrams of the title, "Diner Sores"
My personal favorite is "Ed Snorers I"
Also, "The sauropods were preadapted to be able to grapefruit each other" gave me an out of body experience
That was some fast and observant thinking! Perhaps you possess the brain...
@@davidklop5779Is that what makes us think??
Do I want to know what grapefruiting is?
@@thatkidwiththehoodie the "Once in a Knifetime" YTP will start you on the path of eternal regret
This one is also a mondegreen!
As a person that was a massive Dinosaur fanatic as a kid this puts a big smile to my face.
Agreed
why it have to stop when adult?
@@ruthie8785that’s the secret. It doesn’t!
Were you a fanatic of flynosaurs as well?
@@ruthie8785 IDK why people see it as childish to continue being enamored with dinosaurs into adulthood, I bet that’s why there are so few dinosaur games.
I'm impressed by the restraint in sampling the word Bizarre that many times without a JoJo reference
That is a very bizarre decision
I'm not just impressed, but grateful.
I would've piked my own head on a spear.
This is completely out of context, but Part 4 was the absolute best.
@@1aundulxaldini'm much of a part 3 and part 5 person mostly because of the memes
"This helped the sauropods play american football, its really really baller, in theory, an absolutely really really really really really really very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very quite baller animal"
I'm in tears thats too baller
4:07
As a Flynosaur, I approve of this video
As Another flynosaur I Agree With This Video Aswell
Kind Regards Flynosaur #2
dinosaurs were truly one of the animals of all time
That ending mashup was probably the grooviest thing I’ve heard all week
I love these videos, but the end mashup is always what I look forward to most
@@ScornfulEg0tist not even funny how true that is, and the main content is fantastic.
“The dinosaurs were dinosaurs, perhaps dinosaurs are dinosaurs.”
Whoa, that’s a pretty radical idea there! Sounds a little far fetched!
“Holes contain air. That’s oxygen.” Doing me an education Mr. Kookaburra.
0:45
Wow, that's most polite YTP I've ever seen. No profanity(maybe just at once), no hate on someone(maybe twice), and good, simple, and cute jokes, like a "Were the dinosaurs the dinosaurs?". Very cool, do more, please!
Even the one usage was in a fitting position, not feeling unnecessary, getting wacked by a dinosaur tail would hurt
I don't know why the "Ankylosaurus" with the saxophone made me laugh so hard. @3:58
_Tarchia_ , actually. Its name means "brainy one", so it was clearly smart enough to learn how to play the saxophone. Whether it actually _could_ given its lack of long fingers is another thing.
Heh as soon as I heard "land animal" I knew exactly what was coming. And I was not disappointed
this is exactly how i imagine i must sound to my girlfriend anytime i start infodumping about dinosaurs
My ex would listen to me info dump about them and get me dinosaur toys as a gift.
I love how DaThings plays with video files like they’re dolls.
I usually like to quote a funny part here, but I laughed so many times that it would nearly just be a transcript. Hilarious job!
Look how red Attenborrough is at 2:08. Ellie really dyein' her source.
Ellie Sattler? XD
@@TheMouseAvengerno he's referring to the guy that runs the channel, he calls himself Ellie now
Jeff Winger was completely right when he said humans can get attached to literally anything as long as it's named by a person; as soon as you named that skull Ted, I immediately got insanely attached to it.
The guy who says "stabby stabby stab stab stab" is Dr. Darren Naish, who has an excellent blog and podcast called Tetrapod Zoology.
Making pachycephalosaurus into "pack of cigarettes" was genius.
love that all the names are anagrams of Diner Sores
2:27 🎵I'm The Scatman.🎵
1:44 “The dinosaurs were dinosaurs. Perhaps dinosaurs of dinosaurs. Avoid the dinosaurs by the dinosaurs! Why were the dinosaurs the dinosaurs? For some dinosaurs, it was dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs looked dinosaur, some dinosaurs had the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, dinosaurs, dinosaurs of the dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs had Dinosaur™️.
(The word “dinosaur[s]” was said 21 times, here. 35 times throughout the whole thing.)
I think they were talking about animals
But most importantly, how to think
we're proud to announce that dinosaur no longer sounds like a word
“Eggvidence”
Starting off with an absolute banger.
yeah xD
I like how David just gets progressively redder as the video goes on.
The freaking flavor text for every speaker on this YTP was brilliant, you really outdid yourself there! That and subtly turning Sir David Attenborough redder and redder.
1:22 HES IN BOYS HE SAID IT 😊
Rip Ted, he lived how he died: Oddly shaped
I gotta say, you did the first ytp that got me into the genre.
And youre still an S tier ytper.
Keep up the good work!
which one? for me it was prawn srars
@@shanesims4242 Lord of da things all the way. Rly do like the prawn stars series at this point
2:13 Think of Shark Tale but upside down, that's basic. That shit hit me in my soul
2:07 “now… you’re really sore.”
Flynosaur got me so hard I almost died. ROFL 2:34 Beautiful and hilarious work, as always! But the thing is, this might be my favorite work from you yet. Just the sheer amount of random nonsense, brilliant sentence-mixing, and good use of classic YTP jokes.
00:02
The title alone got me dying 😂
* The "knuckles and tubers and Kerbals and dragons and bobbertunobbles" bit made me laugh a bit.
* And "Perhaps no, after all."
* Another thing is "T.rex's faces contained eyes"
* Sauce bones made me laugh more
* I was smiling throught the entire video.
I can't believe they got Ed Snorers I, the bassist from Dinosaur Jr. He's notoriously hard to book since his expertise on the subject is invaluable
The Saxophone bit was NOT a good time to be sipping from my soda.
4:59 From this we can also infer that dinosaurs must have been emo.
Shout out to Ted, the bizarre-shaped scientist
5:26 missed oppertunity to mix this into byenosaurs
"we have some EGGvidence"
0:30
I like that they got an actual living dinosaur to narrate it.
DaThings once again releasing a YTP within hours of me haveing a mental breakdown. I can barely even ques y on it anymore, I've just accepted that somehow it's just how things work.
Did it help? Asking honestly as someone who has OCD and anxiety issues. Hoping for the best for you 👍🏽
this video made me seriously consider getting a dinosaur tattoo! I love the ankylosaur’s sax solo, and of course the cameo of good ol trogdor
1:17 a dinosaur jr reference in a ytp is something i thought i'd never see
Same!
"In 2022, the skies were _DOMINATED_ by flying guys called Flynosaurs."
2:33
Dang, a reference to Super Mario Bros. 93? You're spoiling us!
3:57 Of course Ankylosaur gets the best joke because it's the best dinosaur.
The conversation beginning at 4:22 was the best!
After a cs188 upload that had no SoS, HoH, SiS, or anything, I needed this. Flynosaur!!❤
I'm so happy you made a ytp on this series!
David Attenborough canonically finishes with fruit
"stabby stabby stab stab stab" made me gut laugh haha
This YTP in particular is just amazingly good
4:52 , In their tongue he is Seiros Nerd, Dragon-Porn.
“But what if the dinosaurs weren’t all destroyed?”
“ nobody cares!”
CM Kosman glares at David Attenborough with contempt.
0:38 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
DineSOOOOAAAARRR! (This YTP is so fricking funny, I love it!)
This brings me so much joy I hope we get a part 2.
I watched your videos when I was still in high school. I remember I had just discovered ytp’s and I loved your channel. Now I am married with two kids, and I still love that you’re still posting. Just kidding, I still live at home and single as a pringle, but I do still love your channel! ❤
This is possibly the funniest ytp I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot), hats off to your amazing editing and humour! XD
Another total winner!
Trogdor and Was (Not Was) in the same video! Brilliant and hilarious mixing as usual too
Your genius continues to grow at an exponential rate my friend. You give me that kind of laughter that makes me feel like a little kid again. The kind of funny that you feel in every muscle.
I appreciate the effort of doing split-second gags with on screen text.
You are the best at this
I love it. I love the sentence mixing every time. A huge pick me up.
this one is a new favorite! thank you
0:43 HAARGH
1:45-2:13 Dinoception brought to you by David Attenborough🤣.
I have been waiting for a ytp of attenborough for over 100 years finally someone made it
Man, I always loved dinosaurs since childhood and this is a brillitant YTP xD
The freaking Fire Emblem reference sold me.
I've learned so much from this
yoshi is a diners.
It is green.
hee is a spice.
For a second, i was genuinely concerned about Sir David's blood pressure.
"assuuuuuuumed" already has me giggling like an idiot.
Yes! A new DaThings YTP! My heart is about to "fLaaF".
Love all the supporting egg-vidence in this video.
5:31 The theme of Link on his way to bomb some Dodongos
That part made me laugh!
As an ankylosaur with a saxophone, I approve of this video
Now Ted is my favourite scientists. I love his papers about tubercles and nobbles and baubles
I choked on my drink when I saw that name tag appear at 3:09. Great stuff as always!
I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and have for years. your videos are one of the few things that make me laugh, and I thank you for that
“Bombs, evidence of nuclear vision.”
Got me so good XD
Oh god, the Tails explosion effects sent me. I'm literally crying.
