Had a fkn lvl 10 join my Lethal. Dude it was SO hard trying to carry him. Got all the way to the end of Hellfire as Bulwark then got dropped by Zoe's because the lvl 10 hoovered up the health kits.
I'm gonna be an ass and say if you need health kits in ruthless and lethal, you are not ready. Ass aside, yeah, he was being a d, you should have tried to vote them out or just leave the party before even starting the mission.
Ive had so many lvl 8-12 people who dont even have perks purchased or equipped leeching and throwing so many of my Ruthless runs. I wont go to Lethal tll I can solo it, because Im not enough of an inconsiderate piece of shit to expect people to carry me in the hardest content.
Running Vanguard, I don't mind reviving my Brothers or even better, Last Brother Standing and you get to amaze your teammates with 90 seconds of "This is how it's done". Cheers
Actually I would very discourage Heavy low level on Ruthless/Lethal: IF you have to join at lower level, at least do so with a Relic weapon inherited from another class you levelled before. Relic weapons are more important than perks. And Heavy primary weapons are all exclusive
Yesterday/Inferno/Ruthless: I was going to add the last XP to several Relic main guns of the Tactical class when two players joined. One was Lvl 2 and the next Lvl 5. If that had been still on the battle barge then I would have quit and reentered the game as I am in no mood to carry lazy players. So how did the operation go? Both of them went down of course by the time when I reached by myself the Camp stage. The Lvl 5 guy vanished with a huff as he apparently expected me to try to revive him while he had been buried by a Tyranid swarm. Ain´t going to happen, son. After I ran circles in the Camp the Lvl 2 guy recuperated and another Lvl 25 player joined. The Lvl 2 guy went down again but we accomplished the mission anyway. At the end the Lvl 2 reached Lvl 6 in this session. That´s why they try to latch onto Ruthless missions.
i’ve been dropping down to average and carrying those guys too and they get so stocked to finish missions! plus you get to feel like a lore accurate space marine
doin it solo is fine for the challenge, but burdening a public run by depriving them of a teammate w/ a relic weapon and a good team perk is not. People need to understand that in public the mentality should be squad before self. You do whatever is within your power to help the team, even if that means sitting out. Myself and several others that I know about do half of our operations on avg/sub specifically to carry low levels, show them dataslate/armory info/gene-seed spawns, and give them an example to follow.
I personally am prepparing 3 classes to lv15 min before even attempting ruthless. Imagine someone using my main class only to be forced to play low lv one. Its not cool imo
If I see you’re going into lethal as a low level I’m picking sniper and cloaking so you can get all the aggro. Once you go down I am clearing the hoard and I will get very close to you like I’m gonna revive and just stare at you until you die.Don’t go in lethal
I've got about 450hrs into the game, all classes maxed, all weapons relic/maxed completely. I just play to play now that i don't really have anything to level up so I'll try to help people. 95% of the time I get most kills and 90% of bonus exp at the end but my lord is it hard with a sub level 10 or even 5 guy on ruthless/lethal. Especially when they grab EVERY ammo/health. I've tried telling them hey man I'll carry the gene seed for you let me get a health and they'll still grab them all lol. It does make the game more intense, infuriating but intense.
When I am doing a just for fun run with a maxed class (which also includes weapons) on Ruthless then I point the Gene-Seed to the low-level players who have no business of being in the operation. I am not carrying it for them. Gives me a chuckle when they drop it. Why? Well, that´s compensation for kicking high-level players AFTER missions due to jealousy.
I really enjoy helping new players get leveled up. I just hate when they join ruthless and not have a team perk active. But it still doesn’t make me mad. I look at it as a way to test my build and weopons.
My tip would be to get all weapons to artificer with ONE class that can translate to other classes. Sniper for stalker rifle and that can translate to tactical and should have your pistol set for all the other classes and chip away till you reach specific weapons. But this is just a "quick" suggestion to jump between weapons and classes that work. But TLDR one class, 25, all artificer weapons and be ready to face ruthless since it's all left to team and your specialization in classes.
@manuprealtalk the game gives you the tools to fight, or find peeps to help carry to get at least one. But either way, there are people who play Certain levels with either Green or White weapons for the challenge and still manage to get through it lol. Maybe a skill issue at that point but I digress, the game has many options to help achieve victory alone or with a group.
In ruthless, I don't mind, have no problem helping out my brothers. Lethal is a different story though. That's a lot of time between game play and load screens to be playing with people who guarantee a loss.
Was playing as Bulwark since Assault was taken and i needed to upgrade the fist. The other one was heavy. Level 8 and 11. Stealing executions when i could have restored contested health, especially after i put my banner, ignoring enemies when i put the banner to heal them, not using stims to cure mortal wound and fully heal themselves at the banner. Constantly dying. I explained them in chat how my banner works, i knew they could understand me. The worst of all, they were taking the stims and dying with them. I know i can heal myself, but 1 stim for safety is a must since I'm usually a gene seed carrier
I have joined ruthless as a lvl 8 with a green gun and a maxed secondary on a class I haven't played much just to carry lvl 25s. There is more to it than the level
@@shoreiguess There are some pretty bad lvl25s. As long as you can parry tyranid missions are doable even with a lvl1 character. A relic bolt pistol (unlocked by reaching lvl25 with another class) can take care of zooanthropes. It's really not as bad as you think

The onle time I play below ruthless is when I am leveling guns or lower characters. But I had to carry a group yesterday as typing of this on a Assault in Inferno, ruthless difficulty. For most of the level I probably stay above percent 85-100% hp and watching team mates of lower levels struggling with getting mobbed. Also pretty much soloing a Neurothrope and last man standing several times. A sniper and bulwark being the team mates and ironically customized my helm was red with Ultramarine colors and insignias, like a sergeant leading two new space marines or neophytes.
I've been lucky most higher difficulties I've had experienced players. Go substantial and below and it's mostly low levels carrying is an understatement.

I thought it was like me, The progression funnels you to this. no longer needing a single green upgrade, stocked up on purple, waiting for xp on weapons and got all the cosmetics for the lvl 25s. so yeah if you see a tactical lvl 8 with a bolt rifle, might not be a new player
I thought about writing a long comment.Explaining everything but simply, i don't mind carrying people on ruthless, lethal is one thing you need to be prepared for that. But if you're low, don't take the resources unless given. Or people walk away.
Just playing devil's advocate, how many are players that lost their levels, but still have high weapon perks? And are needing to regrind through their levels?
At keast when im low level i at least enter with purple weapons so im not useless. I played a few matches of substantial on my sniper with gold level knife and bolt pistol to get my rifle to purpel and character level to where i had the first row of perks.
I can solo ruthless so carrying teammates is actually fun for me, as long as they do not rush to steal all the stims, then I get annoyed by selfishness. Lethal on the other hand is different story.
I don’t think level really matters until lethal if you’re a decent player and level 25 you can solo any ruthless so I’m all for them joining. Ik I went into ruthless with under level classes once I knew the mechanics and never failed an operation it’s more chaotic and fun lol
I have over 100 hours as bullwork and tactical in the game and had completed lethal numerous times and I'm now just starting to level up the other classes. I absolutely run ruthless to level up much faster and while I don't get as many kills as my teammates, obviously I am not a hindrance as I don't go down and I am able to hold my own. But yes, if you're just starting the game, please don't run ruthless.
Icl I was doing this and to me lorewise I was running around as a 1st decade space marine and my level 25 kitted out battle brothers were "named space marines" or captains or something
Worse is when you're low level and then leave when you don't get rezzed, I know that when you leave another player can queue up the spot but at that point you've wasted your own time cause leaving doesn't net you any XP.
Personally I've kept myself to the difficulties based on the levels suggested in game. Chose my perks and loadouts myself (so maybe not as synergistic or 'meta' as others) but struggled to get above Average (some skill issue for sure, but team comp/skill also played a part too) Having recently devoted a few hours to watching YT vids on class builds and just having experience from playing, i can manage Substantial now too; i'll rinse/repeat and get as many class/weapon perks as possible to make mine and my teams lives easier and then venture into Ruthless+ when i feel comfortable doing so, and hopefully have a blast, lol Keen to unlock those Tyrannic Veteran icons from Lethal!
I haven't had this problem. But I have seen a few folks in their teens. I just dont consider 13-19 underleveled. They do struggle some times, but it makes the fights better so Im cool with it.
I now have all my lethal runs done and I did it with randoms but during me trying to run my lethals we almost had a mission done and had a bot the whole time up until the end went to level 1 join and essentially runined the whole run just don't play 4 or 5 unless you yes have team perks or have relic weapons at minimum and even then still as low level don't play ruthless/lethal
If someone joins my ruthless lobby while being underleveled, thats fine with me. If I'm doing ruthless I'm at a point where I should be easily able to carry. If you join a fucking lethal difficulty underleveled (at least level 20 minimum for me) I'm going to vote to kick or flat out leave. I'm sorry but I struggle on Lethal and I've done my operation unlocks primarily on lethal for a long time. If you struggle on ruthless, idk what to tell you. It's an extremely easy difficulty mode. So in honor of the Soulsbourne community: Git guud scrub
I played heavy by accident on lvl 1 lethal. Shredded xenos filth. Dunno why my brothers agreed on that as I did not know them. Still we won second 2nd mission. It is not always right that low lvls are bad
This is a stupid concern, I've been carried as a low level, I've done some carrying as a lower level its more about your experience in the game and its all good fun anyway it is for the emperor after all...🤷🏾♂️
I just had a level 4 tac with base level gear (at least base skin) in lethal obelisk and he very obviously did not know what to do. I did 20K damage as heavy and both my teammates did a combined 5k it was brutal. It is actually better to have the bot because at least it hyper focuses on reviving people where as the new player just sits there confused and dying in one shot. I almost wanted to lose just to have him fail the mission but it was my last lethal completion and I wanted my sword skin.
i dont mind low levels in my game, as long as they arent just robbing me of every med kit and melta bomb / relic and execution so that i may attempt to stay alive and carry
If there is 1 recommendation I could make to new players, it would be this: Don't touch Lethal until all the weapons you intend to use in that mission are Relic rarity. Too many times I see players join my mission in Lethal with low levels and I know for a fact they don't have Relic weapons because by the end of the mission, if they even stick around that long, they have barely a lick of damage.
My requirement for Lethal: Lvl 25. And if you go down during the first engagement (first minute of play) then I leave the operation. Players who go down early do also on a regular basis on Lethal for the entire run.
Took my brother through his first ruthless last night. We get a lvl 25 assault, he full on dies 3 times, he's at 0 health the entire game, he almost wipes the team by hitting all the objective buttons while we are fighting a massive wave. Spawning in the final event wave as well. Is immediatly downed and then dead. And of course I'm not on my bulwark. That man was sabotage incarnate. I've sweat less in lethal 😂 I tell my brother "its not that assault is bad, its just a lot of bad people play assault" 😂
I levelled my Bulwark on Inferno runs yesterday. So I grabbed ALWAYS the Gene-Seed. During one run a Tactical Lvl 25 joined, stole the Gene-Seed in the Jungle before my eyes and then went down 30 seconds later. I quit the operation immediately.
I'm level 15 on most characters and still haven't tried ruthless yet... Doing the middle one.. Think substancial.. And it's all level 1s and 5s joining me... Having to rez all the time
ruthless is the same, but with fewer stims, less ammo, more incoming damage, and more frequent extremis spawns. Same zero-perk leeches grabbing every pickup and dying to single majors.
NGL, if some low level joined me on Ruthless while I'm max level, i just act the "big brother" Astartes and try to help them as much as possible. Bringing home a gene seed with me is even better seeing them just jumping several levels over.
I literally jusr carried 2 guys one lvl 10 the other 12 bulwark/heavy with on lethal... Inferno. 700 kills and literaly a star on every single mission stat. I need a break after that.
I just downloaded the game the other day and have only started the campaign, so I will spare you guys who take issue with this until I can at least get the mechanics down and start unlocking things on my own. Then I'll come looking for my big brothers in the deep end of the pool.
The game needs a way to inspire more Community camadre like Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2 do ( like salutes or a battle cry). These battle "brothers" dont seem to give crap about eachother. Everyone wants to be a one man army. Noyone even talks to anyone.
I would not want people joining lethal but ruthless you can get through if you are level 10 pretty easy. the only issues are minibosses will run them out of ammo. if its someone they can melee, we are good. otherwise... ill be running out of ammo too maybe. This is assuming they are competent players of course. but yeah, once i am leveling a new class, i dont want to do it on anything lower than ruthless. as long as you can parry/dodge you can beat most tyranid levels without issues.
I actually like to help lower players and carry them as long as they can revive me once and they leave some stems for me. Also if they draw some of the enemies attention when there’s an Extremis-tier that’s a plus lol. I was once new to the game and I wanted to level up fast and some randoms online helped carry me. So I try to return the favour out there 😅 there are certain etiquettes one should have playing as a lower level and relying on your teammates to carry. I’ve literally carried newbie friends on lethal and it’s especially easy when playing as tactical against Tyranids
I'm not new I just wanna power level the easy classes that I can, vanguard and assault, hell I have a clip of me at lvl 10 with my vanguard carrying my team on leathel
Bruh the game is meant to be played for fun and to feel badass, it doesn't matter if lower level players are on your team yeah it sucks but that's why if your good at the game and you rely on teammates to do everything for you then obviously you can't play the game the way it was designed for. I will gladly keep my battle brothers alive and fight along side them against the XENOS, the Heretic and the mutant.
Don’t hate me but most comments usually say they want more challenging runs carrying a noob is perfect for upping the difficulty, I can run ruthless solo 1/10 times maybe but even with some noobs that goes up significantly also depends on the classes used Edit: I have max lvl on all but heavy and assault but I’m still only average at best
The game shouldn't let levels under 20 to join Ruthless and of course Noone under 25 join lethal cuz the only thing you get is mess up the other two players' game
Since they force it to be MP, what are masochists supposed to do? I can sometimes carry myself with bots, but sometimes one player joining, not as good comp as bot sniper and heavy, like maybe now you're 2 melee, and gonna get ganked by Zoan. Or bc 1 joined, all loot has to be rationed. So there are situations it might be easier to solo w bots than have 1 join. Also the solo player may not be trying to throw others a match, they just like the added challenge and extra XP and blueprint rewards, but the game forces MP... So don't blame the player, blame the game. It's grindy as hell. After playing it a lot, it feels superficial to not challenge yourself bc the obvious power creep from perks and weapon upgrades. If a player wants to feel actually skilled in PvE: then they have to complete higher difficulties at lower levels. It's a conundrum with forced MP.
I don’t care, keeping my brothers alive is the biggest honor.

Having recently devoted a few hours to watching YT vids on class builds and just having experience from playing, i can manage Substantial now too; i'll rinse/repeat and get as many class/weapon perks as possible to make mine and my teams lives easier and then venture into Ruthless+ when i feel comfortable doing so, and hopefully have a blast, lol
Keen to unlock those Tyrannic Veteran icons from Lethal!
I haven't had this problem. But I have seen a few folks in their teens. I just dont consider 13-19 underleveled.
They do struggle some times, but it makes the fights better so Im cool with it.
I like joining low level Missions with a high level Class to speed run the Missions and get the Low levels up higher🍷🗿
For the Emperor!
If you launch a mission without having the recommended level, it should just put you in a private game
Does anyone elses coolant reserve heavy perk not work
If there is 1 recommendation I could make to new players, it would be this:
Don't touch Lethal until all the weapons you intend to use in that mission are Relic rarity.
I've sweat less in lethal 😂
I tell my brother "its not that assault is bad, its just a lot of bad people play assault" 😂
On lethal I carried a lvl 8 Bulwark and 13 Heavy. That shi was so stressful af
Holy crap. That was me last night. Love taming a crowd like that!
When you are fully leveled up carrying isn't that bad, as there is nothing else to do. But let's be honest it's more laziness than anything else...
I got this, Im built different
Bro who cares its a game, let people enjoy on whatever difficulty they want to
I don’t mind under leveled brothers , it’s only a problem on lethal and it’s more slaughter for me 😏
The game needs a way to inspire more Community camadre like Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2 do ( like salutes or a battle cry). These battle "brothers" dont seem to give crap about eachother. Everyone wants to be a one man army. Noyone even talks to anyone.
i mean i join ruthless lobbies with my level 6 vanguard and just use the relic weapons that i have upgraded from my other classes and i live fine
What is funny is I only get lvl 25s in my average lobbies
i was wondering why all these lowbies kept filing into Ruthless ops last night I got so frustrated I just gave up for the night.
You would have no perks at level 8 because all the coins are spent on armour.
You can do it easy on lvl 10 if your weapons are high enough
Roughthless seems easy if im used to lethal 😅
I actually like to help lower players and carry them as long as they can revive me once and they leave some stems for me. Also if they draw some of the enemies attention when there’s an Extremis-tier that’s a plus lol. I was once new to the game and I wanted to level up fast and some randoms online helped carry me. So I try to return the favour out there 😅 there are certain etiquettes one should have playing as a lower level and relying on your teammates to carry. I’ve literally carried newbie friends on lethal and it’s especially easy when playing as tactical against Tyranids
The chapter needs marines, carry your brothers in the scout company.
I'm not new I just wanna power level the easy classes that I can, vanguard and assault, hell I have a clip of me at lvl 10 with my vanguard carrying my team on leathel
Oh I do that, I brute force leveling
I play ruthless on lvl 1. All my weapons are maxed.
Ruthless is fine but Lethal is going too far
I'm fairly certain some have came off Elden Ring and think themselves "hardcore" enough to handle a higher difficulty.
I don't care if they under leveled. I love then bc we have fun. (I was under level too.)
We all make it, or we all die trying.
I don't care what level you are, as long as I get one stim as a back up then we're good
Kick em like they kick high level players who just wants to casual average mode
I love carrying lower levels, because I get all the extra XP
Bruh the game is meant to be played for fun and to feel badass, it doesn't matter if lower level players are on your team yeah it sucks but that's why if your good at the game and you rely on teammates to do everything for you then obviously you can't play the game the way it was designed for. I will gladly keep my battle brothers alive and fight along side them against the XENOS, the Heretic and the mutant.
More soldiers for the emperors Will
It's kind of annoying because they take stims guardian relics die then leave.
Last time I played lethal there was a lvl9 and I just said that this isn't gonna work and he left xD
Im just trying to level up my other classes😂
Don’t hate me but most comments usually say they want more challenging runs carrying a noob is perfect for upping the difficulty, I can run ruthless solo 1/10 times maybe but even with some noobs that goes up significantly also depends on the classes used
Edit: I have max lvl on all but heavy and assault but I’m still only average at best
The game shouldn't let levels under 20 to join Ruthless and of course Noone under 25 join lethal cuz the only thing you get is mess up the other two players' game
atleasat come as level 5 and ive me a team perk ill do the rest
Lol funnier when youre carrying on average until an overzealous assault steals all your executions
I love carrying noobs❤ all battle brothers who want to test theyr skills in ruthless are welcome in my team ❤
