Be careful, sawdust can self-combust due to spontaneous combustion, which occurs when heat from oxidation builds up in large, compact piles. Sawdust is a good insulator, trapping the heat generated by oxidation. If the heat can't escape, it raises the internal temperature, and once it reaches around 200°C (392°F), the sawdust can ignite without an external flame. Factors like poor ventilation, large pile size, and moisture can increase the risk.

Its been said or so I've heard that old school granulated powder soap can get solid results. Dont forget emulsifiers or basic gelatin is another potential starting point. Keep in mind there are two preferred schools for deployment each requires different approach the liquid nape style needs pressure to propel its contentsover distances in burst and is efective for small openings raised off the ground like pill boxes and burns up oxygen in confined spaces potentially suffocating those maybe untouched by the flamible material. Of course static or shrapnel and bullets hitting the tanks results in explosions to those operating as well as in close proximity to said device. The other kind is a combustible petrol based type that isn't extremely flammable/explosive and is designed to be rolled along the ground into door/entryways and corridors and can be used on barricaded units and isnt as dangerous to platoons or elements with members armed with said device pluss the fuel isnt used up nearly as quickly compared to its liquid lava cousin.
@User39. Correct, an old pickle or canning jar will hold a handfull of charcoal briquettes. Then just fill to cover the briquettes with diesel fuel or kerosene and screw the lid on. Maybe takes 30 min for the briquettes to become saturated fire starters, I grab them from the jar using an old pair of bbq tongs and place them in my fire pile. Usually only takes a single briquette to get a fire going in practically no time.
I pour melted wax wax from old candles onto wads of dryer lint that I place in egg carton depressions. They're fairly long lasting and work well starting the fire in my cabin's woodburner. Bit of dry kindling and a fire's up in short order. Works well outside too though wind can effect such a small flame.

You can also use ivory dish soap. Quick and eiser and sticks the burn better. We add it to weed kill does the job much better. Add the ivory last though.
This works well for stumps. Drill a hole from top down, either with a large drill bit or just plunge the chainsaw in, drill a horizontal hole in the side of the stump connecting with the vertical hole, fill the vertical hole with soap / laundry detergent, add gas and then light it. Burns very hot for a while so the stump dies faster. soak with oil first if you really want to burn it out.

Has anyone used this successfully with charcoal (eg Kingsford bricquets) for grilling and found no problems with taste of food etc? I know "matchlight" charcoal exists but it was not available in a recent power outage, and straight gasoline soaked into the unlit coals is far too volatile to use safely (evaporates and mixes with air far too energetically/FAST). I have done that in the open, and it's still pretty unwise. Thanks!
Its called a chiminey charcoal starter, crumpled paper with a Non petrolium oil sprayed on it acts as fuel and the paper a wick to heat the stack of bricketts

Styrofoam will dissolve more readily into the gas. If you let it sit for ten minutes, you don't even need to stir the mixture, and the resulting substance will burn hotter. I'll warn you though, if you spill it on your clothes after igniting, you're done, unless you have a pool, or a hose next to you.
A 55 Gallon drum of Motor Gas and add a 5 pound box of Ivory Soap Flakes and you have made "PHU GAS". Used a lot in Vietnam to burn things that needed burning. It was very "sticky."
If you get a crack in a water tank, fuel etc.........get a bar of soap and from the outside of the tank, rub the bar into the crack with plenty of pressure. This will seal the leaking crack.

@@raymondo162 lol..very true! Have a great weekend!)
You can also use ivory dish soap. Quick and eiser and sticks the burn better. We add it to weed kill does the job much better. Add the ivory last though.
Yep napalm
Made excellent Kentucky fried Vietnamese.
As a Firefighter, this video has job security written all over it!!
Bro considering i just watched a fire truck sit while i put out my neighbors yardfire the other neighbor started with fireworks i dont think any fireman has ever had to worry weather they actualy do their jobs or not unless they are didling kids or office assistants
😅😅😅
@@todydn YOU'RE A PRANIT
As a retired paramedic I agree. Although people making homemade explosives make a bigger mess on the walls in the garage. Seen it, not joking. Brain matter dripping off the ceiling makes for an interesting day.
As a boomer this comment has millenial written all over it.
This guy needs to be on a watchlist
I thought you were going to put it in your car and have bubbles come out the exhaust as you drove along.😅😅😅
Lmao 🤣🤣meee tooo😂
Same!😆
You can also use powdered laundry detergent or white foam
probably smells good too
So, what is best for an indoor woodstove.
Veg oil? That stuff make nasty black smoke by itself.
Honey, this cheese tastes weird! - 'yeah, but look how clean your teeth are...'
As i read the title i imagined this to be environmentally great.
never mind. i'm sure your folks love you anyways
Hey, here comes the Rooster...Oh YEA!
wtf does that song have to w fake napalm lol
Folks from the south been known how to keep a fire burning for long time...
I just read the title and thought I'd try it. I need a new engine for a
You are correct. Before viewing....I thought, there's no way I'd put that in my car! Lol
@@Chris-ux3cw EXCELLENT! Thanks
You're one crazy genius! 2 thumbs up 😁
For reinventing the wheel lmao
If you mix petrol with soap, does it still work?
Wouldn't it have done this same thing if you just dipped the wood in petrol for a little while?
The soap helps the petrol to burn slower and longer
Nop
Do you recommend regular or ethyl?😅
Backyard camp fire season will be with us shortly, hello neighbors.
Gas n soap. Would that be good for cleaning greasy/oily dungarees?
Dawn dishwashing liquid - I keep a bottle by the washing machine. Treat the spot of oil with Dawn, and wash it like normal. Dissolves the grease and oil.
I love the smell of Ivory Snow Flakes mixed with gasoline in the morning.
funny
Can you use liquid soda? Doubt it but... or I heard styrophome?
That's os old 50s era 60s for real
if more than needed is not used about how long will the mixture last ( days or weeks ) , also is this mixture ok for cooking shortly after the fire has burned ? I do not have a firm answer for the grandchildren .. they showed this and asked me to make haha
Dip wood directly into the gasoline, why mix in the soap?🤔
It will burn longer and have a more sustained fire...Sometimes just a piece of wood or paper will burn itself out...
You can do something similar with gasoline and Styrofoam, just keep dissolving the foam until you get the desired thickness.
I somehow feel dumber
Well if you feel that way, then you must indeed be dumber😅
Why? Because you don't know basic alchemy?

I'll bet there isn't a snowflake to be found in the comments here, other than those concerned with engine damage.
And this ↑lady↑ who is still voting for

Styrofoam will dissolve more readily into the gas. If you let it sit for ten minutes, you don't even need to stir the mixture, and the resulting substance will burn hotter. I'll warn you though, if you spill it on your clothes after igniting, you're done, unless you have a pool, or a hose next to you.
Used Ivory soap flakes in Nam to make foo-gas.
Works even better using expanded polystyrene instead of soap.
What does the soap do? I keep paper towels soaked in bacon grease to start the fire pit. 🔥
Now that's something you can cook food over. Not the napalm.
Smells Like Bacon😂
we made it with gas and tide.
Hard on your clothes though huh?
What stain are you trying to remove?
I have seen like this made only instead of soap they use styrofoam.
A 55 Gallon drum of Motor Gas and add a 5 pound box of Ivory Soap Flakes and you have made "PHU GAS". Used a lot in Vietnam to burn things that needed burning. It was very "sticky."
Petroleum jelly works good.
If you get a crack in a water tank, fuel etc.........get a bar of soap and from the outside of the tank, rub the bar into the crack with plenty of pressure. This will seal the leaking crack.
Просто змішайте бензин з бітумною патокою та маслом і жбурніть в Ірину Сосун чи Землинського і ви отримаєте неперевершений результат
What is the ratio in terms of oz of gas to oz of soap flakes??
Amazing trick....
Happy to subscribe, my friend.❤ Nothing tastes better Than shredded soap on my pizza.😂😅😮❤
Someone should tell this guy you can do the same thing with a handful of pine needles or leaves
I was going to say a little paper
Nice to see intelligence in these comments at least
How many people will be badly burned because of this video. NEVER.NEVER! Use gasoline in any form to start a fire.
You just made bathtub napalm
I use paper and some dry kippins, it always works, much more easy and less expensive, and for those who do not know Hippins are pieces of small firewood or kindling;
Not in the rain but
着火は良さそうですね。

Que es el miedo? 🤔
Diesel and sawdust work great too.
Is this fireplace friendly? 🤔🤔
