In this video I try out a new rod that I found at a local tackle shop. I have never seen a setup like this other than the one I had custom built. - Навчання та стиль
Very impressive action on that medium/med-light rod. Love seeing you out there enjoying your passion for fishing! Well done!
Love the vids keep ‘em coming sir 🎣
Jesse - I've been using Fenwick rods for several years now and the warranty is great. I would STRONGLY recommend going with the HMG vs. the HMX for future purchases, though. I found that the HMX blanks break suddenly and inexplicably sometimes - they seem to be very brittle. The HMGs are about $20 more and the only time I've managed to break one (actually two at once) was when I made a dumb cast and smacked my rod against another one in the vertical rod holder.
BTW, when I did that, I contacted HMG, told them what happened and that it was 100% my stupidity and not their problem. They replaced one rod for free and gave me the other at a steep discount. Highly recommend them.
We've got alot of big sheepshead in southern Louisiana. But my cousin and good friend who I fish with alot don't really target them. We just happen to catch them when we are trying to catch redfish and flounder and speckled trout down here. That was some beautiful sheepshead. Verygood channel you have sir.🙂👍
WOW those are some beauty's ...Nice test of the new rod Congrats
Thanks!
I picked that fenwick for sheeps a few weeks ago. It’s great!
Just caught my first sheep with a bottom sweeper at the CBBT, toughest part was learning the bite!
Those Sheeps were so plump! Your boat is a beauty and spotlock works so well around those pilings.
Nice boat!!!
Nice job bud. Good video!
I picked up 2 Fenwick Salt Stiks. 7’0 one MH one M. Revo toro 50. Fantastic for striper and Tog in Northeast.
Great job!I can’t wait to catch some sheepshead
I hit up TW's every time I'm in the Nags Head area! They usually have stuff that's new to me!
The Penn Spinfisher VI is what I recently got and it’s a fantastic set up. Around 150 retail but it’s fantastic.
what is the length ?
Thanks for the infotainment sir! Sheepshead has been on my list…every time i have fished for them i get tog after tog (not complaining though). Watching your videos makes me want one even more!! Take care
I feel your pain! The one time I've tried for Sheepshead, all I could catch were puffer! 🙄
The Fenwick HNG Inshore Spinning Rods are my favorite, ML 7" for trout
Nice!
Wow really enjoy this video👌👌 almost like crappie fishing LOL😮😮😋😋😁😁👍👍

Cool bud! I just discovered them...
How is the chartering going bubba?
Hmg has been the most solid rod I've ever owned

Not really still working on that one

Not a chance hahahahahah lol!
Good afternoon. You made a comment that you had a morning charter. Are you a charter, and if so how can a angler reserve?
Working on an easy solution for that currently. I will announce it very soon
Where are you
Do u charter
I do, setting up a scheduling system now. Will announce it soon
If anyone is having trouble finding this particular rod, there is one at Sportsman's Guide pretty close to being the same. Fenwick Eagle Series Salmon/Steelhead Casting Rod
Item # WX2-718755 in the $99 range.
Already gone. Been looking and can’t find the number he provided anywhere.
@@DLXSKIFFMITCHELL Just bought the one above, total to my house is $124.26. So Jesse paid about right for his.
@@kenshamrock7395 shows back ordered to me. I can add it to cart and pay for it but it says back ordered til 10/5. I’m also looking at the 10’6 model not the 10ft.
@@DLXSKIFFMITCHELL Saw the same when I looked, that's why I went with the 10 footer. Can't wait until October to use it and I must have gotten the last one.
@@DLXSKIFFMITCHELL Found this Fenwick Eagle Series Salmon/Steelhead Spinning Rod
Item # WX2-718756 at the Sportsman's Guide in the 10 feet 6 inches today. Got my 10 footer yesterday and it looks great. If I built this rod myself, it would cost at least $200 just for the blanks.
Very impressive action on that medium/med-light rod. Love seeing you out there enjoying your passion for fishing! Well done!
Thank you very much!
