Yeah man! It was a great day out there and enjoyed catching up with you! Looking forward to the vid!
it was a pleasure to watch y'all fish together👍👍 another great video Jessie🙏🙏
Love to see it, Jesse & Shawn!
I absolutely enjoy watching your videos brother!! You’re not chasing views, but just trying to enjoy yourself. All them UA-camrs who try to put out content gets old. Good luck with the charter and bring us a video once in a while. 🤙
Thanks man I appreciate that compliment for sure!
Shawn is awesome fishing dude glad to see him
I used metal knobs for power handle, a must for these small accurist.
I’ve never fished for sheepshead but would like to try next time I make it to the CBBT. I only bottom fish for whatever is biting. Wife would have a blast reeling in a big sheepshead. You have a link to the rod/reels you use? What pound test line? Thanks!!
Hey I just saw you on Northampton Blvd in VB. You doing some fishing here this weekend?
Pretty work brother. I heard you say the hook was still sharp. Do you find yourself changing your jigs alot?
I only change jigs when the current forces me to, but I do sharpen jigs constantly. At a minimum I sharpen after every 2 fish
Looks like a lot of fun would love to go for sheepshead’s never fished for them
What rods are these? I’m looking at going back to conventional setup.
Where did you get the custom rod made at? I’m interested in getting one.
I was one of the kids with the dog at the boat ramp on Sunday. Went out to for sheepshead for the first time but had no idea where or how to catch ‘em. Ended up putting pieces of blue crabs on tog jigs and fishing them near the 1st island. Didn’t catch one. Have a bunch of respect for you and the way you catch em. Gonna try again soon.
Hey man it was great meeting y'all that morning! Much respect for anyone that brings their dog along on a trip! I am a huge dog lover, but mine are older now and the heat is not so good for them. To be honest blue crabs are not good bait for sheeps, it works sometimes, but fiddlers are way better in the Chesapeake area. The secret is to fish the pilings as close as you possibly can. Literally ride the jig with the crab on it down the side of the piling slowly. If there is a sheep there it can't resist it. Just keep trying and you'll figure it out!
@@SouthernReelsFishing thanks man 🙏
What power handle is that? I use the Gomexus handles. No issues so far, but not catching the numbers that you do.

Its good you just have to loctite everything
Jesse, have you every tried the bottom sweeper with a dropper loop tied above about 2 feet on a short leader ?
No sure haven't. The extra crab and hook would add a lot of drag to the setup in current causing you to have to use a heavier jig to compensate.
Nice video and feel fresh to see this
Do you do guided kayak trips? I live up near Richmond but I grew up in Oklahoma, so saltwater fishing baffles me. I never catch anything but spot and croaker, which is fine, but I'd like to learn how to catch puppy drum and trout. I have my own kayak and gear.
I offered it at first but had no inquiries about it. And to be honest it's hard to step away from the boat charter income to do anything kayak guide related. The yaks will be just for fun when I get time for it
Sheepshead seem so cool! I wish we had the.to mess with up here in Rhode island.
Have u ever fished for them big black drum that hang around cbbt?
In the past yes. They love some blue crab chunks and fresh clams. Fish the bottom around structure and be patient and you will catch one every now and then.
I love any and ALL sheepshead fishing. If I could catch them year around in florida I would.
What rod were you using?
Jesse… what size line and leader are using on these rods? Because these are some huge sheeps!
20lb power pro braid tied direct to 30 lb Fluorocarbon leader
Your trolling motor may not work right on anchor/spot lock mode under a bridge. A bridge can block the GPS signal. Only one time I tried anchor mode under a bridge. The trolling motor went to full speed and almost rammed the boat into pilings searching for satellite signals.
Very true! I am aware of that from years of doing this. I wish they would add the ability to add extra sensors or receivers to help with the issue. I know they have the technology to do it. This bridge is very tall so it's not too bad, other bridges locally I cant trust it at all
Wish I had that problem, so many huge sheepsheads caught that I gotta start throwing em back. WOW!!!!!
Good team 👍
You make it look easy bro.
Years of practice my friend!
What is your buddies channel? You should include it in the video discription!
