Altus Plateau requires you to reach the grand lift of dectus after collecting the two half medallions from Fort Height and Fort Faroth, or to get into the capital, Go to the south end of Weeping Penninsula, find the lookout point tower and climb it, atop the tower is a chest that teleports you to the Divine bridge in the capital. By the time I got 1 helm drop (which has the attached cape), I had 5 scythes, 6 chest pieces, 3 pants, 2 gloves, and 8 of his 1H sword (which isn't that special beyond it's appearance). The farm is very fast being so close to the grace save. I repeated the exact same attack on him each time and it was over within 10 seconds. I used the dragon breath attack, which is a strong recommend as a faith build character. He doesn't even have time to attack if you catch him off guard from the side while he is walking out from behind cover. melt him down, loot if there is a drop, then repeat. He drops a good amount of runes so I leveled up 5 times while here for those 90 minutes or so. All of the drops sell for 200 each, just fyi. It's so crazy how the RNG is in this game. A guy below said it took him 3 hours to get 1 scythe, while I got 5 in an hour and a half. While that one dang helmet took the longest time.

I rest by the aeonia swamp shore because there is 3 that spawn pretty close by. Only thing is you will get invaded by an npc, so you're gonna have to kill that first. Its pretty simple, just that its ashes of war skill hits pretty hard if its not dodged or interrupted.
The halo scythe was nice, and I dual wielded it with the Winged Scythe for a bit, but then I retired it later on in favor of the Blasphemous Blade. With its lifesteal skill, and it’s heal on kill stat, it carried me through most of the game, and even at endgame I combined it with the Sacred Relic Sword from Elden Beast for a fun little Holy and Unholy combination.
Just fyi there are tons of them lying in the rot pool, just get close and they will come out of the rot water. Total of like 6 or 7. I got all the weapons and armor from them in like 30 minutes, cleanrot armor is awesome looking
Btw, if the scythe isn't dropping for you, the rings of light skill exists as a separate Ash of War that you can find on a teardrop scarab in Caelid. Take it, slap it onto any spear you like (I have it on my cross-naginata) and you're good to go.
If you're going to go miquella's disks don't even waste your time with other incantations. They can't hold up to the disks. That said, Rot Breath is the only exception. You will handle every boss with these two abilities up to Malenia, who needs something entirely different, and then Rad/Beast. The last boss is too hefty for disks and crimson rot doesn't really affect him. People will complain about some bosses and disk/rot will own them. If you really want to maximize this make sure you have the Crystalian summon, and Mimic tear. It's important to learn which is better for certain bosses, but the general key is if the fight will take time and you need to kite, Crystalian. If the fight has to be over fast and you don't have time for DOTs, use Mimic and be aggressive. I'm on + now and rolling through everything. Final tip is 80 Faith. There's no way around this. Has to happen so play a while, farm some levels.

Have fun grinding, it took me almost 3 hours to get one halo scythe. By the time I finally got it, I had over four sets of armor and 11 swords from the farm. Admittedly, I've just personally had terrible RNG in this game for anything I've tried to farm, so maybe you'll get it faster.
Same thing bruh, was praying to RNG-Jesus for a single Halo Scythe. I killed that Cleanrot Knight 120 times before I finally got one, I seriously have 30+ Cleanrot swords in my inventory.
I just made a confessor like an hour ago quickly got the flame of frenzy and I farmed that enemy holding the halo scythe. I just stood on a tree and they couldn't hit me with their halos. I got the scythe on my 3rd attempt.
This might be a dumb question, but that ability that comes with that first weapon in the video, is that an ash of war you can find as a stand alone and put it on another weapon? Or can you extract weapon abilities and use them on other weapons? or is this ability only on this weapon? .. Sorry, so many questions

Crazy seeing so many people taking hours to get the halo scythe, when I got one on my first kill 😭
The halo scythe was nice, and I dual wielded it with the Winged Scythe for a bit, but then I retired it later on in favor of the Blasphemous Blade. With its lifesteal skill, and it’s heal on kill stat, it carried me through most of the game, and even at endgame I combined it with the Sacred Relic Sword from Elden Beast for a fun little Holy and Unholy combination.
what class are you using in this ??
Just fyi there are tons of them lying in the rot pool, just get close and they will come out of the rot water. Total of like 6 or 7. I got all the weapons and armor from them in like 30 minutes, cleanrot armor is awesome looking
Btw, if the scythe isn't dropping for you, the rings of light skill exists as a separate Ash of War that you can find on a teardrop scarab in Caelid.
Take it, slap it onto any spear you like (I have it on my cross-naginata) and you're good to go.
The ash of war is slower than this one
@@TagBackTv That is true but farming can be a pain sometimes lol.
A pickle foot, plus the silver mimic tear helm will boost your discover quite a bit so you can find more items off enemies
Oh man, I fully support you! Literally because of your content, I managed to get through this game lol
question what stats should we build up for this?
I’ve been look for faith base items TY🙏🏽
Tag back became on of my favorite UA-camrs his videos have been amazing
I have been playing this build before watching this video much love sir
Not sure if this was said, but you can get the Ash of War version of Golden Vow incredibly early just north of the Warmaster's Shack.
Been running my halo scythe winged scythe powerstance for a while. You’ll want to swap Godslayer for Erdtree Seal and probably swap out black flame for something els (Even Meh for Bosses). Side note, you can charge lightning spear for additional damage.
Deciding whether to use somber stone 3 on winged or halo scythe. What is better?
@@jarodkhoury466 i believe the winged scythe scales better, but the Halo scythe skill makes up for the difference (in my opinion).
Hope yall make a beast incantation build at some point ive been really enjoying the beast incantations
Beast claw seems to have been nerfed since the network test, to me.
I got this before seeing this video, and I was farming clean rot armor and got the scythe in like 10 kills 😂. Great video though! Gotta try this scythe out now.
Awesome tips thank you.
My R&G is a steaming pile of you know what! I bet it took me close to 50 tries and numerous silver pickled fowl foot. I acquired all the armor two or three times and probably six swords. But I finally got the Halo Scyth and I am so jazzed.🤘
I guess i got lucky, cause i got mine in 40 minutes without any pickled fowl foots, and also the armor set without the head piece xD
“RNG”
Random Number Generator
Almost 1 mil, good job man!
Almost a mil sub now, great work!
you can use the catch flame incantation while on horseback to kill the rot knights easier
you are the best thank you very much !
Which build do you start with for your character? Just whichever has the most faith in stats?
I used the fowl foot and got the halo scythe and helMet first try but I’ve always had pretty good luck so I’m not surprised
Got the armor, 2 scythes, & his sword in about an hour. Armor looks cool, but super heavy. Thx!
I was trying to get the armour, ended up getting two halo scythe in 10 min. Took 2 hours to get the Armour set.
lol
@@timothyharaldson1500 Lmao Same I wanted the armour which took me about 30 minutes but I got the weapons before that
Damn that’s nuts. I farmed two halo scythes in like 30 mins. Must have been lucky.
Same thing bruh, was praying to RNG-Jesus for a single Halo Scythe. I killed that Cleanrot Knight 120 times before I finally got one, I seriously have 30+ Cleanrot swords in my inventory.
What yall think double Halo OR 1x halo and 1x Winged scythe for a Faith Build? OR 1x Winged Scythe 1x normal Scyth
Congrats Taggo! ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!
Almost 1mil subscribers good luck
I just made a confessor like an hour ago quickly got the flame of frenzy and I farmed that enemy holding the halo scythe. I just stood on a tree and they couldn't hit me with their halos. I got the scythe on my 3rd attempt.
Just wanna say congrats on 1M subs you deserve it! Appreciate what you do! 😎
Funny, youtube builds dont just work, they are always OP
So what seal should I use overall?
Why you didnt get golden vow from the knight on stormhill ? Is it different somehow ?
First try halo scythe. No kidding
What would be a good stats spread to run with this build?
This might be a dumb question, but that ability that comes with that first weapon in the video, is that an ash of war you can find as a stand alone and put it on another weapon? Or can you extract weapon abilities and use them on other weapons? or is this ability only on this weapon? .. Sorry, so many questions
The scythe takes so much time, i had 55 000 runes when i got it
The drop rate isn't that bad I can farm most drops with only 10 arcane? But I do want to try some of the gear that actually uses that stat
What stats should we be running
Im dex/int Prisoner for my first playthrough but I want a faith build next
Your voice, humor, inflection, and cadence are always so perfect. I also really enjoyed how many times you said godkin instead of godslayer - I appreciate you not editing that out :)
What character did you start out with if I may ask
Congrats on 1 Million!
What armor set is that? Looks cool!
thank you for the strat! was super lucky and got the scythe after about 20 tries
If you take the holy-shrouding cracked tear and mix it with cerulean hidden tear, you have 10 sek with unlimeted FP and you rings does more damage
Location for both those items
This game so big and crazy I literally haven't talked to that Turtle yet and I am level 100 I just brought both books to the Roundtable and turned it in there at the prophet where I turn in all my other books
Buy everything you want from him before you do much in Altus plateau.. he moves around after that.
What character base do I choose ?? I’m new just got the game last night
Fyi you can get the halo scythe ash of war and put on a dif scythe I put it on grave scythe and works well I think the grave scythe scales better too
Does it work for any class cause I’m trynna get that sword but he doesn’t drop it
which stats should we focus early ?
Do not tempt me 😂🔥 I love these build videos!
Congratz on a million subs!
What stats do you pump up?
I grinded for almost 3 hours before I got the full armor set, and all 3 weapon drops. Worth it early mid to mid game and if you're wanting to wear heavy armor and experiment with the weapons in the game, or you're just a collector of all the items in the game.
Why does everyone give their books to the turtle? I give mine to the guy in Roundtable Hold
There are both plot and logistical reasons why people prefer to go with the turtle...
Golden vow + Wonderous flask w/ boosted faith & faith damage + faith damage scorpion = circles of death, will melt creatures of death, turns death birds into fried chicken
I don't even need the halo scythe I got the ashe of war for the weird gold bay blade thing lol rn tho I'm running a frost bleed dual whip build and it's so fun
What character and stats do you start with
Congratulations on the 1 million
I give all my prayer books to the guy in Round table hold. Just easier to give turns like that to someone in the main hub area. Same thing for all those Bells for the somber stones. Also the merchant bells you can "buy"......
I would not give the books to the guy in the hold, for reasons I shall not spoil
Give all your books to the turtle trust
