Btw if anyone was wondering, the jump at volcano manor got pattched the side where you need to jump is noticeably smaller
with patch 1.05 it is not working at all
if you need a +10 somber weapon at level one to be able to play the game, you should just uninstall and go try mario party or something
@@InvaderTroy what are you talking about? First off that has nothing to do with my comment. Second why Mario Party out of all of the games. Third the whole point to playing a game is to make progress so using a plus 10 weapon is perfectly fine because you need to upgrade your gear to fight enemies at a higher level. So if you're gonna sit here and make fun of someone for trying to make progress in a game then I think you need to take a step back from the internet to regain your humanity and common sense
@@millionisthename7177 the game developers clearly intended for the upgrades to be gained at a later time, they even patched this issue (first time fromsoft has patched a jump skip to my knowledge). You do you but i’m gonna shame for it. People spending hours trying to nail a perfect jump instead of just… playing the game.. will always be funny to me

As of patch 1.04, the Volcano Manor bridge jump has had its difficulty increased significantly. If you don't wish to spend time perfecting the jump, you will have to defeat the Godskin Noble and get there the normal way. If you wish to exit Volcano Manor, there is a Grace you can reach by heading straight past the lava river from the respawn point instead of jumping down.

Man, I'm always looking for those Elden Ring build guides that actually lead you through the game to get everything you need, like yours. This is an awesome build and I'm probably gonna try it out soon. Could you make a late game version as well?

The jump for the somber 7 still works. Just keep trying. It took me about 40 tries but I finally got it.
Can confirm that. Did it with a R2 jump attack near the ledge :)

If anyone is having issues with the jump at 10:01, make sure you're holding down sprint while jumping.
I'm struggling with the jump right before to get on top of this wheel. Any tips?
@@Janoscbr Before making any movements after getting up on the pole, you prep the sprint button by jumping and the holding down the sprint button, keep it hold down so sprint is always activated, so now any direction you move, you'll already be sprinting, all is left to do is jump towards the wheel, keep in mind you're doing all this while holding down sprint button. It's really nowhere near as complicated as it sounds.
Has the jump been patched? I’m holding sprint while I jump and I’ve tried from multiple lengths.
@@Blaztitz I think it has. I still have to try holding sprint while jumping (IDK if I did it already that way) but I read that it has been patched

Thank you so much for the speedrun op build. I needed to fins some of that stuff for a good build :)
What I've found is playing a caster build without summons is pretty much not fun haha, later bosses are too aggressive to cast and you cant get super op until late game or NG+. If your using summons though, caster is a blast at all stages. This goes for both faith caster and INT caster. Faith can be more versatile with the buffs and stuff though.
Moonveil -> Wing of Astel-> Dark Moon Greatsword + Helphan's Steeple. All have great weapon arts dealing Magic Damage that can carry you. Iron Jar Aromatic gives infinite poise. Bloodhound Step can help you move faster. Carian Slicer or Shard Spiral for DPS. Rock Sling, Greatblade Phalanx, and Gavel of Haima deal great Stance Damage then Misericorde and Rapier do great Critical Damage and also have good Ashes of War to pair with them.
A bit too much jumping around of scenes for newer players. For instance: The Volcano area. "Run down the stairs to the next Grace..." I run down the stairs and there is like 98237498374 mobs at the bottom. Lots of dying in-between trying to figure out where you went to get to certain places. Died in the volcano area, due to not having previous knowledge, simply due to that.
What do you mean? lol. You run down that stair case and you can see the door straight down, you run through that door and you get to the grace after opening a door. There is no other way to go.
@@robmen1402 Right after you “jump-cheese” on the ledge and go into the doorway, there’s a left and right way to go. You have to go right, past tons of enemies, in the dark, and then through several more rooms to reach the grace I’m speaking of.

There isn't a continuation of this build at the moment because I think the winged scythe can last you the entire game and the only upgrades from here on are talismans. I am in the process of making end-game build videos for all my early game build videos so it's definitely in the works!
@@noashiya Cool! Any chance you could reccomend one or two extra talismans to use alongside radagons soreseal now that I have the second talisman slot? If you are saving that for the part two though, I understand :D
@@charliehey2791 Of course, the lightning scorpion charm and flock's canvas talisman for incantation damage; Great-jar's arsenal for more equip load; and Green turtle talisman for stamina regen

Just find the nearest grace and tap out of that hell with the option.
I learned my lesson to read the comments first as the the devs are still patching up stuff (read: taking the fun out of the game :( )

The Video is great, but you forget that in volcano manor one of the best seals ingame just a few steps away next to the somber stone 7 lies
Erdtree seal is great but it only shines through buffs and high faith investment. I forget the exact number but I think it's high 60s faith for it to beat out Godslayer's seal which is good for overall use. But if you're running high/pure faith then Erdtree seal is definitely the way to go.

You don't need to do pest control if you buy the beast repellent torch.
Just made this build word for word, only problem is low magicka so cant use the spear a lot. Where should I allocate further levels into this build?
Levelling Mind to 20 should give you a comfortable amount of FP, if not you can level it higher.

@@FigMedicine Yes, you can level Faith to 40 or 50. Use any armor set you like, it doesn't really matter too much

@@FigMedicine If you're still looking for early-game armor sets, I recommend the "Cleanrot" or "Banished knight" set, you can look up how to get them on UA-cam.
they are both heavy armor sets tho, so I'd recommend getting the "Great-jar's arsenal" talisman which increases maximum equipload. (Which you should get anyway IMO).
Is this better than the halo scythe for getting through gameplay? Also, could you please give us some recommendations for stat allocation/armor, I'm learning and am horrible with that
They're more or less the same but I would say Halo scythe is better for getting through the game due to its weapon skill. Of course that's if you're able to farm the Halo scythe or have a friend drop it for you. You can use any armor you like the look of, doesn't matter much to this build. In terms of stats you want enough Vigor so you don't get 1-shot by bosses, around 30, and Faith around 45-50 for late game incantations.

Anyways, I realized if you just start off going to the dragon Grayoll or whatever, get Soreseal then you have some stats to make this whole trip more bearable and you can basically even scrap those runes as long as you have 5 minutes since you can keep farming him

OMG, WARNING to all new players at level 1...I was close to deleting my character trying to get out of volcano since you can't fast travel...it was such a nightmare...a nightmare.....so much trauma...finally free, it was so damn painful

@@dexterbibera3110 Considering your reply date, that ledge was patched to make it much harder, I would just get to the grace by the spawning point and get out of there now.

They're used to upgrade your weapon which is the main way to increase your damage

Yes it's been patched you can either wrong warp into the capital to get the 2 somber 7's in the sewer by the lobsters, or you can abuse to the fog gate glitch to make godskin not fight back, OR you can just wrong warp to farum azula straight away from the beggining and just pick up the somber 7,8 ball bearing just laying out in the open, cheers.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure why it stood still for me. Try sticking close to him and Dodge the attacks, you only need to land 2 charged heavy attacks on him. Good luck!

I just did it 2 hours ago. Keep trying. I removed all my equipments. I did it 3 times, died twice when i got up but managed to survive the 3rd. Its definitely doable. Just make sure u jump VERY slightly towards the right where the small ledge is.

Hi! Love the builds. I'm just starting Elden Ring and trying out this Winged Scythe build. At 7:39 , is Blackguard Big-Boggart's quest worth doing? I'm not sure what rewards that quest will have and following this video's guide seems to skip parts of Volcano Manor. Any help would be much appreciated!
No he's not essential, just involved with the quest of another NPC which leads to one of the endings of the game and sells shrimp and crab that ups physical defense if you want that. His quest only takes like a minute to do so if you want all your side quest options open then do it before volcano manor.

@@sopzayy Not in my opinion. This build has you immediately using two of the best long range faith attacks in the game. The black flame ball and the lightning spear. So no need for that sythe and the winged sythe scales better with faith than the the halo scythe. This build is way better than going to get that halo scythe. Now if you like the animation of the projectile that the halo scythe provides cause it looks cool to you than go for it.

They made the ledge smaller. It's a much harder jump to make now unfortunately but it's still doable.
