Thank you for using a Q&A format for a difficult subject. I am an OCDS for 29 years. This is probably the clearest and most easily understood description of contemplation that I have heard. I love your videos. Thank you so much!

Oh I so do agree. I am 67 years old. I felt called to be a nun when I was 12 yo.
I thought I was imagining things & thinking I was more than what I was.
I thought if my experience’s. And I realized I was Not imagining my feelings & thoughts. I was actually being called to Love The Divine Trinity even more. You called that being called to a Deeper Faith. Thank you. This video was very helpful.

Oh my goodness…! This Podcast was recommended to me by a friend priest and is such answer to prayer. I had not heard about your channel before. This past week in Adoration I came in with my scripture reading, my Rosary and ready to meditate but as I sat there I felt like just quietly seating there and say nothing. It felt like a breath of fresh air to just be present looking at the Lord and letting go. Of course my heart felt full of consolation. It happened 3 times this week. Even in the afternoon where it can be easy to feel so relax I could fall asleep. I did not, it was just stillness, thank so much! I’m eager to hear more of your Podcast and get to know you all! God bless you!

12/17/24 - March 5, 2024 an encounter with the “Dark Night of the Soul”
Such a simplistic yet profound esoteric poem
    I watched E11, 10/22/19 which lead me to E24, 11/16/20 & E69, 5/24/24
I listened to both your dialogues with resolute enjoyment
I felt St John’s poem in Mar 2023 looking for a “Deeper Meaningful Connection”, and in Jul 2024 feeling a “Deadening Peace”.
… Just as I hear the train coming, I invite I open I welcome Trinity Adversary Science …
Right now in the Dark Night of the Soul, abyss darkness, void; A calm before the storm, though not a storm, yet uncomfortable, though not frightening, a deadening peace; I wait …
    You both are appreciated, Ty

For me, the most effective form of prayer begins with an open heart. The heart open to give if ourself honestly and intimately to God and to be open to receive Gods graces. 🙏

With prayer we must just start and allow the process especially when praying the little office of the b.v.m or rosary to allow the hole scriptures to become intune with God so our hearts can be in communion.

Does our Lord call us into silent contemplation during Liturgy of the Hours like during the Rosary or is it an exception, and why? (As a laity)

Very true. You Just want to stay there with God forever. It’s literally heaven. I remember asking Him can I stay here with you? Of course He says, open your eyes hahah. Just when you can live there He sends you out again. Until next time.
Saying I’ll be waiting my darling.
It’s such a gift. You can just rest there. It may be exciting and you’ll want to talk to everyone about it in the beginning but after years and years you just keep it to yourself. It’s you and God and loving each other. Smiling like a fool in love to anyone who sees you. But nothing matters except smiling to Him in His forever. In his laughter. My Love I’m so happy to see and be with.
To me God opened my heart after practicing just giving love in my mind to everyone I meet. Just the constant love giving was His opening to come in. To teach me because He’s my only teacher. So patient and sweet. My only Love of my life. It’s like my secret.
That’s why I gravitate toward anyone speaking of contemplation. It’s so fun to know there’s others out there experiencing the same. Brothers and sisters in faith and love.
Wish I could hug you all.
    Thank you for your conversation.

I meet a beautiful girl (light of God comes on)
She goes home after the party (The light goes out. I am called away from my old life to search for her, the one I love and I thirst for her- The Song of Songs)
I find her and get to know her through conversation. I look at her one day and I know that to know her and to be known by her is to love her and be loved by her. (mental prayer)
We embrace. Time stops. We don’t speak. There is no need. I feel her presence but more than this I feel the gift she is giving me which is the gift of herself, of who she is. And she is giving herself to me. I know I have done nothing to deserve this most precious gift of the other’s life. I know I have done nothing to deserve to be here. I just don’t. I am aware she is giving me the gift of her whole life; her joys and her sorrows. And I know I will love her whole life, all of who she is and I will love all of who she is with all of my own life including all my time; all the days of my life. My soul is lifted up into clean clear twilight air and I drink from the source of all human love; our eternal Abba.
Then the glimpse ends and I hear the clock ticking again and I am back on world time, the moment withdrawn. But I remain strong. An unknown peace lives within me because I know that who I am is eternally loved. I cannot give this peace to anyone because it is not mine to give. I can simple receive and be grateful. (contemplative prayer)
    Personal experience

We all have a God-shaped void, that we try to fill with counterfeits that only Jesus Christ can fill.. he wants a relationship and fellowship with us. He loves us and wants to spend eternity in heaven with us. We need to be sorry to God for what the Bible says is sin. Only once we realize we're lost can we be saved by trusting and the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He shed his blood for us taking our sins upon him, and he gives us his righteousness when we put our trust in his finished work on the cross, asking him to forgive us and save our souls from hell.

    Hi,
I wonder could you do a review of the divine intimacy book by Fr. Gabrial of saint Mary Magdelane and outline how best to use it for daily meditation.
It comes highly recommended for those interested in pursuing carmelite spirituality. What are your thoughts?

how do i feel love for God?

    • @ICSPublications
      @ICSPublications  3 місяці тому

That's a good question, David. For St. John of the Cross love is connected with the will, meaning it is more about our choices than our feelings. So maybe an alternative way to ask that question would be "how do I choose to love God?".

The Eucharist is not Jesus Christ. You are taking what is a figure of speech, and making it literal. Catholics twist the scriptures often and mix up what is literal, and take it as figurative, and the other way around. Jesus Christ called himself the door. But he's not a piece of wood with a door knob. He's using a figure of speech. If you go on to read the book of 1st Corinthians in the later chapters.. I believe chapters 10 through 12 somewhere in there.. the apostle Paul goes to talk about how the Lord's supper is an ordinance.. which means it's a ceremony or memorial only. It doesn't save you it's done in remembrance of Jesus Christ and it is a time of self-examination. (the Pauline Epistles are primarily where we get our church doctrine) the gospels are a mix and at a transitional time... If you want church doctrine read Paul's epeisltes. We are saved by grace through faith alone. Not of works. Not baptism. Not belonging to the Catholic Church. Paying indulgences does nothing for your sin. You're not supposed to pray to Mary Or venerate her.. she was not a perpetual virgin the Bible speaks of her children.. (but she was a virgin at the time of Jesus Christ. ) Mary is not your Co mediator. She had sin (she had to bring a sin-offering like everybody else.) If Catholics read their Bible and wanted to know the trutth.. and acknowledged that their priests were lying to them.. thank God could save them and forgive them for believing heresy.
