Please Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity help me to be in silence.Amen
"Silence is the worship due to God's holiness." Each time we encounter a mystery we can't but stay awestruck, here words become unnecessary.
"All I can do is as nothing compared to what can God" through me.
Moments of pauses communicate even more...
Thanks, Carmelcast
You two radiate the joy of the Lord! I love watching you and Fr Giorgio. As an OCDS for almost 30 years, I am learning so much from you. God bless you both.
This is the best teaching on interior silence that I've heard. The friars make it so clear and simple...and it's for all of us.
YES 🙌🏻 😊❤
Thank you so much Father and Brother! Not only for your insights, but most importantly for your dedication to our Lord and for your goodness. And of course for sharing it all with us! Blessings!
Thank you this is so helpful. Being an older Catholic your answer to your call from God strengthens the hope we have for the future of the church in the next generations. I believe because God is in this place 😁
Im so glad to see carmelites on youtube
Looking at the picture of Elizabeth of the Trinity with her crucifix in hand, I realize that when I visited the Carmel in France where she was living and where she died, the Sister guestmistress allowed us to hold that same crucifix of hers. What a blessing for us.
Dear Friars, thank you for the extremely wonderful talk on interior silence by St Elizabeth. It was truly God sent as I have struggled with ‘interior clamour’ for such a long time so much so that it has brought many tears and despair. I have always battled with these on my own but now realise that it is something that the Lord as placed in me to die fully to myself and always focus on loving our Lord and to allow Him to love me and to take full control of the situation. God bless you Friars.
Be PRESENT to the PRESENCE in the PRESENT. Living in the loop of love. ❤
i didn't mean to listen to this podcast, but it started because of the auto-play mode. these have been really rough days for me, as I am sensitive to external noise to the point that it could trigger an anxiety crisis. I cry, shake like a leaf, and become really angry. To make things worse, I have also had a lot of internal noise, especially trauma-related. As an artist myself, I'm very visual, so I have images of our Lady and Jesus (and other saints) to keep me grounded when my mind wants to take me somewhere else. In the room I am now listening to you, I have a statue of our Lady of Carmel right in front of me, and i was crying because i felt i could not deal with more noise. And almost instantly, She answered my prayers with this podcast. Thank you so much dear brothers!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story! Know of our prayers for you through the intercession of our dear sister Elizabeth!
I have the same problem, I think I have autism! Because even as a child, Noise would drive me crazy! And now as an older person! I wake up to every little Saund! Sometimes big and small! But it bothers me so much. I have to wear something on my ears.! just like autism Saund wears it! He's very sensitive to! I am too, but nobody believes me! I have to get a CAT scan! My brain because I know there's something wrong with my brain! thank you I sympathize with you. God bless us all Lord Jesus Christ.! amen 🙏
I do not suffer to that extent, however even soft music irritates me in the morning.
They just put music in our elevators where I live and it’s not elevator music but loud pop music. At first I was annoyed and now I thank and praise Our Lord for that music warns me that I am about to go out into world.
I stumbled upon these podcasts … I am an older Catholic, so these guys look really really young to me but I recognize that they are speaking from the heart and sharing the truths as they know it….so now I don’t think I stumbled on these podcasts…,now I think mother Mary lead me here…. One more step closer to Jesus.
Silence is to allow yourself to fall into be filled with and surrounded by the Mystery.
I am deeply grateful for this podcast, as so very supportive in resourcing me to stay committed to the challenging journey of interior silence.
St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, pray for me. Amen.
Love this! Am an ocds and learn so much here. Thank you for saying that noticing our failings is a gift, that we may work on them.
Happy Trinity Sunday! Thank you very much for your podcast.
St. ELIZABETH OF THE TRINITY PRAY FOR ME AND MINE.
Full of gratitude for you both, each full of love in a time when so many catholics one the internet seem to suffer a lack of charity.
I use ear plugs on the daily wen around ppl etc. hahaha and I love this upload. God Bless 📿❤️💯
I am sure I am watching this because HolySpirit lead me to this ,I am a mother ,but lives a contemplative life in the middle of this noisy ,busy world .Bit sometimes I have some conflicts going on with the mental prayer verses Contemplative prayer for it is hard me to do any vocal and mental prayer anymore for long years
This gave lots of confirmation on the inner /Silent /Contemplative prayer
Please keep us in your valuable prayers
Thank you 🙏🏻 so ❤much!😊
You said with words what I knew was true. Thank you St. Elizabeth and fathers - this was SO needed and helpful.
❤❤❤
Thank you! God bless you.
Thank you for this enlightening episode. I especially found your Scriptural reference of Martha and Mary action and contemplation joined in our Blessed Mother. I must read more of Elizabeth of the Trinity.

Fantastic job.

Can you address the sanctified imagination.
Beautiful podcast. I was going to ask where she took "Laudem Gloriae" from, it must be something larger cause its accusative.
But for the feast of the Immaculate Conception its come up twice, at First Vespers in the Canticle and Sext in the short reading! Ephesians!
"qui prædestinávit nos in adoptiónem filiórum†
per Iesum Christum in ipsum,*
secúndum beneplácitum voluntátis suæ,
IN LAUDEM GLORIAE grátiæ suæ,*

in quo habémus redemptiónem per sánguinem eius,*
remissiónem peccatórum,
secúndum divítias grátiæ eius,†

Amen Father giving us interior living with God. While living human and being God like as Elizabeth wisdom of Ear and Silence
I had no iterest in silence. I was interested only in talking.
Hello Carmelcast..thank you for this..but can I ask for an advice?..after I pray the Rosary, (especially when I meditate on the mysteries since I'm a more visual person) it seems to me that the words of Holy Scriptures are more "luminous" like they're speaking to me personally..as for silence..It seems my prayer is not that simple yet..but what do you think? Thank you.
Meditation is aimed towards contemplation. Listen and if God invites you to be with Him, abide with Him there at that moment.
@@LostArchivist Oh, thank you so much for your insight!
@@gertapia1160 Thank God, not me. He lead me to it when I was looking.
God bless you. : )
Thanks for your comment. Praise God that He is speaking to you in the Holy Scriptures right now! Simple prayer is not opposed to that. Often I think God will lead us from reading a lot of scripture (like sitting down and reading a whole chapter) to just sitting with a few verses or even a word or phrase. Let the Holy Spirit lead you and know of our prayers for you!
@@ICSPublicationsYes, I think you said it right. Thank you so much for enlightening me! I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for the prayers. God bless and advanced Merry Christmas! ❤

Great talk, but is there any way you can not constantly use the word "like"?
I wonder if St Elizabeth was autistic. The so called temper of hers in childhood sounds like autistic meltdowns. And her relationship with silence. Its similar to me. Not that im a saint at all. I mean personality wise. I have a lot sensory sensitivities.
I think that could be very much the truth of it. It occurred to me as well.
Sometimes I experience what can only be called a "glory fit."
Way too much blubber blabber for a talk about "silence" . watching a Charlie Chaplin movie might be more useful
Sounds like the words the devil would say...😮
