You explaing perfectly, its amazing. I'll been looking for anything that helps me with a big infectation of bba in my fish tank. I'm going to give it a try, hope that will help me. Thanks for the professional explanation. Thanks
Sorry for this delayed response. Have been travelling. It's extremely heartening to note that you found the video useful. Thanks for your encouraging comments :)
Thank you for this. I just bought a 200ml bottle and began treatment one hour ago. I put it locally on the critical zones (plants and wood). I was very careful not to use it on moss, as it supposedly is harmful to it. Take care.
Good to know that you found the video useful. APT is planning to come out with a new version of Fix call Fix-Lite. You will be able to use that on moss
My tank was in mess after I returned from a month long vacation. Did a massive water and physical cleaning and treatment with phytongit as advised in earlier video. Now the tank is back in shape but I'll probably try out apt fix to remove some of the leftovers if any after balancing the tank back. This video was just in time 😀. Thanks
We have not tried this out on BGA. So unable to comment. Normally we concentrate on getting the filters cleaned on a regular schedule to keep the water quality under control which in turn controls BGA
Hello sir, I have a 60L aquarium. What is the dosing for this? 6ml per day with the filter closed for about 30 minutes? And how many days I add the dose? And finally when I make water change? Thank you,
Dozing just follow what is written on the bottle. There is no need to do specific water change for Fix, as mentioned in the video it is completely biodegradable. So you can follow a normal water change routine. But if the algal load is high, I will recommend a water change after 3/4 days of treatment. Lastly as I have told many times, the best way to control algae is to bring the aquarium to a balance and Fix should be used only when things are out of control
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 Thanks for your reply ! One more question, is it better to use APT Fix when lights are off ? or there is no difference ?
Max 30 mins. Sorry for the late response. You see we need aerobic bacteria so keeping filters turned off for a longer period will do more harm than good
Thank you for your feed-back. I was reluctant for using anti alguae product but this one was adviced by my shop. I have staghorn and I Hope it will solve my problem. I am at day 1 i will tell you after some days the results
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 So for the moment, most of the green filamentous algae had disapperead. The most problematic ones, the staghorn at day 4, half of them had become red and are eaten by the schrimps (they were so focus on it, it's amazing). Hello. Since I don't speak English very well, I couldn't fully understand what you said in the video, and I'm very sorry for that. While achieving this effect, did you apply directly to the algae or did you pour apt fix directly into the aquarium?
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870wow. I'm not really sure if I understand it correctly. Did you pour the mixture directly into the aquarium rather than onto the algae? Thank you for not leaving me unanswered.
Again very sorry for this late response. Somehow we had missed your comment. We meant that Fix was poured in the aquarium water and not on the algae directly
Hello sir I'm facing some problems in my planted tank. I need your suggestions. I have a planted tank approx 70ltr. Used Neo soil with root tabs. Lighting it 6hrs a day with pressurized co2. I do regular water changes. I started fertilizer APT 1. After 2 months I'm started seeing BBA. I follow you as well as Mr Mayur Dev. I saw his video about BBA and added seachem purigen in filter. The BBA came under control. Some plants started to die. I removed seachem purigen about 2 months ago. Again BBA started to grow again. Please suggest what should I do? Note: I use seachem Prime after water changes. I started fertilizer APT 3 about a week back.
Hello!! sorry for the late response. BBA can come for a variety of reasons. It would be great if we can know the Carbonate Hardness of your aquarium water. A good aquarium test kit should list a parameter by the name KH and that indicates Carbonate HArdness. If that is high than CO2 does not mix and BBA will come. Kindly call 9830009691 so that we can understand your problem a little better and solve your problem.
No need actually. In fact keeping the aerator running is a good idea, will continue to provide oxygen for the bacteria colony. Please excuse my late response
Being a biodegradable product you can definitely use it daily. But algae automatically remains in control when a Nature Aquarium is in balanced condition. You see there are no Nature Aquarium in the World which can claim that it's absolutely algae free. So we should try and achieve that natural balance which keeps algae under control and where you do not have to depend on any external means to control algae. Hope I could answer.
You can. But diatomes are a common phenomenon in the early stages of aquarium setup. Please aerate your tank every day after lights and CO2 is switched off. Daily aeration of tank using an air pump for 16 hours is a very good practice
Is it good for brown algue in anubias..my tank is 1 and half month old 2.5 ft tank with pressurised CO2 Java ferns and anubias.photo period 5 hrs ..with macro micro ferts fireglow 29 wts..
Will just add one more thing on what @ Manish suggested.... go for 16 hours of aeration after turning off your CO2.... I am assuming that your lighting period is 8 hours...
Sorry for the delayed response. Please try any sucker mouth catfish. If you can let us know what type of aquarium you have, then we can help you better

We are not aware. While Nerite snails are most probably not found in India, but then they take care of BBA to an extent. In our experience, BBA is best handled if CO2 gets dissolved well in your aquarium and general organic pollutant load of the aquarium is not very high
This can be due to many reasons including insufficient filtration, poor food or hard water. Can you please call our team @ 9830009691, they will discuss with you and help to solve the problem

Brown algae or diatomes are common at the early stages. 1) Aerate tank well for 14 hours after switching off CO2 2) Use ADA green bacter. assuming you have used Bacter 100 or equivalent bacter 3) As a preventive measure use small sucker mouth catfish like SAE or Ottocinclus

Frankly not much gap is needed. The more the gap the more the chances of filter bacteria dying

You are right. This tank was used more of a test bed to test the efficacy of the product. Faster plant growth/mass does lead to lesser algae
Reduce lighting
Yes reduction in light also helps in certain cases
