My tip is doing the festival dailies as many times as possible. These tend to offer great rewards compared to the little amount of time it takes to do them.
My tip is to accompany the Wintersday Gift Tree node with buying the Snowflake Gobbler now while it's 20% off. The 25% buff is great! Oh and use the gathering tools that proc snowflakes, too.
I will probably open most gifts for the fun of it. I have better sources for gold these days. My priority will be getting the rest of the colors for my snowball and green candy cane weapon skins. But more than anything, I'm crossing my finger's for a Winter'sday scarf to match the sweater and hat from the previous two years.
I was opening them for the first few days. Every time I opened them I was discouraged, so now just selling all of them. Now if you aren't farming thousands of gifts daily by doing the JP or other activities, then might be good to just open them.
@@UnskippableCutscenes I don't even want to know how many bags I opened...The only super rare drop I got was the toymaker tonic which I could have just bought for 2G. The FOMO goes away after a few thousand bags and instead pain settles in.
Do you know what happens if you use a piece of armor that hides your shoulder armor? I was thinking of using the frost legion armguard skin that you get from drizzlewood with the winter's presence but I wonder if they will work together.
As a "new" player I'm farming that orphan karma and opening everything, want those easy achievement points first :) I do most of the activities, they are really fun. Idc about the dailies, I just do what I feel like. So no jumping puzzles for me, they are infuriating, ho-ho-ho
Just got the Winter's Heart drop!!! Should I sell now or hold? I have never had more than 200g in my account... so tempting to cash it out! The aesthetics are nice, but oh well.
Congratulations!! Tough call; looking at the GW2TP website, it doesn't look the the price of these has really increased as time goes on, even after Wintersday ends. Take a look there before you decide!
I got a winter's presence infusion from bags! Didn't expect this at all since I was finishing up my last few rounds of Toypocalypse for Winter's Presence. So I got both the effects in the span of 5 minutes :D
The last year I got a winter's heart infusion from the second stack of normal presents that I open. This year I was thinking of getting a second one but after this video and actually understanding how lucky I was past year... Maybe I'm going to sell those gifts 😅
I got a toy shell infusion from some personal gifts so clearly I used up all my luck. I can do the expert JP really easily so I'm setting a goal of farming 10k-12k gifts and sitting on them for awhile until the price on the tp starts to crawl back up over the summer. I've gotten about 3,500 so far!
started a week ago playing this game came across for x mas event , i was farming boxes hoping to get that snowfall shoulders , now i can understand i better sell em for gold and have smth better with those gold , tnx for info
Oh darn.. I do need 800 gold so selling them is what I should do. Of course I need to see what's inside. So at least 50/50 for me in case I like the loot. I'll have to wait and see. I was new last year so didn't give wintersday much attention
@@UnskippableCutscenes Yeah it's probably an error in wiki. It's just a swiftness buff trail. Though queen bee infusion probably has a dedicated trail but Winter's Presence doesnt for sure. 👌
It's a pretty big investment! The upside is that you can work on these achievements every Wintersday, so even if you can't do it all right now, you can always finish it next year!

SELL the wintersday gifts. other peoples gambling addiction is your gain.
This is true. I can't help but open the gifts.
@@RecklessFables then your gambling addiction will be my gain, thank you my friend!
@@ashtheimpaler2126 Why? I dont buy your Wintersday Gifts, I open those that I get by Rewards, Dailys,...

Warning(correct me if I'm wrong): unlike infusions the snow effect will not work while using outfit.
I did not know that, thank you for sharing the advice!!
Yeah its a shoulder skin not an infusion at all

Sell early in the festival and open later once the market is flooded.

Woah that's huge! Nice job!
Farm the JP at the start selling the presents when high, towards the end of the festival open them.
Excellent advice!

I have open upward of 10000 winter heart gifts, no winter hearts

Even though I know it's cheaper to sell the gifts and buy cheap eggnog, I'm not gonna lie, I love opening them 😄
