The best tip for any MMORPG is to get a Keypad. The Logitech G3 is my favourite, but unfortunately it’s no longer in production. Best alternative is the Razor Tartarus V2 right now. Pair it with a Razor Naga and you’ll be unstoppable. Get use to move your character with the analogue stick like with a controller and now the rest of your fingers is free to cast spells. Bind cool-downs, items and utilities spells to the number pad on the Naga and you’ll start to wonder how was I ever able to play an MMORPG with just a keyboard and a simple 2 button mouse.
Since you started playing other games first. Changing Guild Wars 2 key bindings for your taste is fantastic. For people who play guild Wars 2 know a thing or two about problems you are going to run into. First off Action Camera. Looks as if you haven't played a Memer or Their yet. Action Camera on is going to get you whiplash moving every time you attack. As for double tap in any direction. If you have to evade it works best as is. You double tap in the direction you would like to go while fighting to evade. Works as advertised. As for camera angles when in combat. If you use both mouse buttons to move and look. You can run in one direction using the keys and the right mouse button to look in another. If it is not broken don't try to fix it. Try holding both mouse buttons down. You might find it works best.

Many thanks for making reshade3d, i can tell its a work of passion! If you ever wanted to improve the Shader even more, here is a suggestion, not sure if it works for underwater though: The Day/Night Presets could also automatically swap based on the ingame map's Day/Night timer. The timer is available in the Event Timers wiki, potentially even in the API or something. The game recognizes characters submerging into water, maybe there is a trigger to look for here that would allow automation aswell, or onscreen underwater visual to analyze for the shader.
Fast ground targeting: just hold down the button to see the AoE marker, release to cast. Spacebar to dodge and Alt to jump is pretty nice. Reduce shadows quality if you need more FPS. Horizontal camera offset: remember your character does not move toward the crosshair dot, but in the direction your camera is facing. So for jump puzzles you might fall off narrow ledges unless you zoom into first person first (must be enabled in options). It looks neat though since you can offset camera vertical down to see more of your character up close, Mass Effect style.

Hello Zyrin, I had one of those and it was helpful to a certain extent, but it was still not as smooth as this keybind setting. I sometimes hit the wrong button, especially when I move the mouse to the right side with my thumb. Now I am using razer deathadder with 5 buttons including wheelbutton. That is more than enough for me. So having most of the skills close to my movement keys worked for me :)
@@Reshaded3D I see, never really had an issue with it. I personally prefer using the mouse for skills. I like to focus my left hand mostly for movement, it feels more fluid that way. I play a lot of pvp, so moving a lot while pressing skill keybinds on the keyboard is annoying.
using a razer naga, and i can definitely tell you that there is no comparison between using an mmo mouse to not using one. The difference is night and day. @@Reshaded3D idk which mouse you were using, but that never happened to me on my razer naga. Maybe on the first two or three days, but i don't remember. I don't use my thumb to move my mouse, i just use my hand/arm. This is awesome for casual play, really immersive and fun. Just make sure you at least change the camera settings for raids/fractals and PvP especially WvW or you're gonna have a bad time haha I wish they would allow us to have camera setting profiles since it's so important in GW2 to change settings depending on what content you're doing. Great video, gave these settings a try and will definitely use them while leveling!
Cool video. As someone who’s only ever played the GW franchise (except Skyrim which handles kinda like ESO) I couldn’t imagine moving around in every game like action came i much prefer the mobility and control of the right click movement.
Be very careful with Action Camera. It improves a lot of things and will make you addicted to it but it also sacrifice some pro gameplay possibilities (like withdraw foward or shoot things behind while running foward). Lots of skills where not designed to action camera like the ranger long bow 5 is a good exemplo since sometimes you want to use it very far away and do it with AC is horrible. Also the mouse clicking in action camera dont activate your auto attack, i made the same mistake as Isaac to clear the key. I though i got one extra hotkey but in fact now i use Y since sometimes you want to activate auto attack asap. My tip about this is to put a really good buton to deactivate and reactivate it. I use mouse wheel clicking to do it. I coudnt play without it for a single moment cause i got addicted to it. But as time passed by I knew that for a more pro play evolution i had to deactivate it sometimes. I use it 85% of time. I deactivate to use long AOE skills liek Ranger Bow 5 and actvate it again.
If only guild wars 2 would stop giving me error messages for every bloody unknown reason and making me quit every time i try to play it, it would probably be my favourite game :l
they call me a shill cause i paid 10, but its like u said if someone did the fine detail work, then im not gonna go to someone whos preset is a couple sliders that i can adjust myself /shrug
Amazing and informative video. Personally, I wish there was a way to get rid of those stupid "condition hearts" they are such an eyesore. Is there an add-on out there that can do it?
I have a question, is the shadermod allowed by Arenanet, since they were very strict about implementing mods and thx for the video, I play since 2015 and still learned something new^^
For those that might be wondering these settings are really good for a laid back immersive and fun experience however you might need to change some of these settings (like action cam, glitching into the hitbox, etc.) if you wanna get a little more sweaty and increase your efficiency. Feel free to ask me about which of the settings showed above need to be changed for a more efficient and SWEATMAN gameplay which would come at a cost of some immersion. Good video and love the FRESH take!

After a few years of playing I've never once experienced a problem using double tap to dodge, and it free's up yet another clunky finger displacement. But I mainly focus the hardest fractal content, if it works there I don't know where else it would be a problem. Shoutout to the double tap community
my big issue with double tap dodging is 1 I have to stop moving to use it and i don't always do it consistently when I want to, and 2 trying to make several small adjustments in a jump puzzle before a jump and yeeting myself off the edge when I accidentally trigger a dodge lol. I use middle mouse/m3 click to dodge.
@@Shayoni I think that's just a matter of getting used to it. Everything you're not used to will affect your confidence. But I double tap quick enough that it is completely negligible, I can't remember once thinking to myself "I didn't avoid that damage because I double tapped" and the amount of times I've accidentally double tapped is less than the times I've accidentally pressed the wrong attack, I wouldn't change the keybind of my abilities just because I sometimes missclick. I think it's the same with dodge, it's perfectly fine as it is. People who have felt the need to reassign it did so because they messed up, but they still mess up other things they don't reassign so the logic is a bit flawed. My middle mouse click is for auto running ^^ Old habit from my WoW days. So much running and it's a lazy place to keybind it to
I know I am late to the party here however I LOVE the outfit you have put together for your Warrior! Looks NEW WORDish. Please could you let us know what pieces you are using for this outfit!
Got one of those and his keybinds actually seem to make much more sense. The only thing that seems absolutely retarded is his mount binds. The way he has to contort his hand in order to call forth a skyscale is unholy. alt+8? Need some holy water for my eyes.
@@sindri1447 😂 I use the radial mount addon which allows me to bring up the pop up menu. From there I just hover over to the dragon scale. The alt+8 is just place holder for the addon ;)
So here's what I'd do instead. The equipment template keybinds are actually pretty good keybinds for mounts. Shift+1-5 and shift+Q/E/R is pretty easy on your hand and your equipment/build template is not THAT important to easily switch between. You could just as well just put the equipment templates onto numpad keys.
I used the Logitech G13 (RIP) which had a thumbstick for WASD leaving the skills under the fingers. Which also allowed me to move weapon skills as I chose.
Am I correct to assume theres no way to just double left click an enemy and have the character continue auto attacking? Cause when I set it up as you did, I have to hold down left mouse button for the character to auto attack. Amazing video btw.
You need to install radial mount from the addon manager first before installing reshade. Also you need to install and use d912pxy (dx12) instead of the ingame's dx11. When installing radial mount choose the (D3D9) version. After you have done those steps, then install reshade and the pack. Feel free to join our discord if you still need assistance.

Hello do you think I can use your Reshad3d preset + assets in other games? Specifically Swtor. Reshade is amazing but the UI is also affected by the filters. I was thinking if your preset could work for Swtor's UI
It is bound to my left mouse button instead, because of direct action camera. Therefore not indicating on screen. Once action cam is on, it does it automatically.
in terms of shaders, is there something that just makes the colors sharper with more contrast? i turn off bloom and post-processing because the game just gets a little too obnoxious with how bright and glowy some stuffs are. i just want the game to be better shaded/gamma with less brightness.

I was a ranked PvP player in WoW for years. WoW gave me the freedom to scale my interface and move parts of it to where I needed it. GW2 is more complex and ArenaNet does not give me even the option to move the attack skills. For example: my defence key with a 2handed sword is on key 4. when I switch to another weapon, the acording defence button is on 3. I want them on the same button! Not possible!!! Then my mates tell me: "ArenaNet does not allow modifications like this." I go and play PvP and realize some players using Scripts they buy on special websites. This gives them a huge advantage. So this seems to be possible...but my Interface and Keybinds are not!? I do not understand.
Switched to action cam today - LOVE it . Waaaaay easier to play imo 1 quick question though - any way to make it so left click will target an enemy im looking at? I hate it being right click (small gripe i know haha)
As soon when you switch to action cam left mouse becomes automatically attack 1 and auto target as well. Having the target settings in this video helps too.
@@Reshaded3D awesome definitely something I’m interested in! Few questions tho! Is it for the whole game? (Like not just tyria? yes, that's what really need, its so annoying to constantly change each part of the settings whenever i have to go to wvw >.
@@2Btoobee problem is, everything is ran off this one UI. For them to change anything they'll have to rewrite the whole code.
Fantastic video man! game looks gorgeous now!
Hope to see you grow immensely!
Cool video. As someone who’s only ever played the GW franchise (except Skyrim which handles kinda like ESO) I couldn’t imagine moving around in every game like action came i much prefer the mobility and control of the right click movement.
learnt about so many useful settings that I had no idea about from this video! thanks!
To be honest, i thought guild wars was a 4/10
after this video its a 8/10
Your chars look great!😍
10 bucks your reshaded3d, that's a heavy price for what it is
Tried the new key binds and I like it, thanks!
If only guild wars 2 would stop giving me error messages for every bloody unknown reason and making me quit every time i try to play it, it would probably be my favourite game :l
in my opinion, blishhud is a must-have over taco
2:55 i laughed so hard XD
I love action combat too, i use it since the moment it come out and never went back.
People need to get on board with action cam. It really is the best way to play the game.
This video was awesome, super helpful tips all of them!
Thank you :)
they call me a shill cause i paid 10, but its like u said
if someone did the fine detail work, then im not gonna go to someone whos preset is a couple sliders that i can adjust myself /shrug
Amazing and informative video. Personally, I wish there was a way to get rid of those stupid "condition hearts" they are such an eyesore. Is there an add-on out there that can do it?
Personally I use shift 1 for heal/6, shift 2 for 7 etc... alt 1 for F1 etc... much easier in my opinion
BDO key bind is my favorite it's just muscle memory and it's easy to reach for my fingers.
I have a question, is the shadermod allowed by Arenanet, since they were very strict about implementing mods and thx for the video, I play since 2015 and still learned something new^^
Hello, yes reshade and similar postprocessing screenshaders are allowed by anet. As it does not touch gw2 in technical terms at all.
Good video and love the FRESH take!
ok well tell us lol
@@ihavecrabs56 ua-cam.com/video/SvuMOH0pjfM/v-deo.html watch this video. He explains everything from why the setting is recommended to what is immersive.
Keep up the good work mate 👍
You mean the entirety I could have been playing raid bosses while the doom eternal soundtrack was running?
The tips are great and all. But those transmogs... DAMN
So much running and it's a lazy place to keybind it to
Shader pack is superb.
Action camera is great
I know I am late to the party here however I LOVE the outfit you have put together for your Warrior! Looks NEW WORDish. Please could you let us know what pieces you are using for this outfit!
Get an mmo mouse with 12 keys right under your thumb literally
or a controller setup..
@@Reshaded3D oh right. You're no longer a madman then 😂
subbed.
Thank you!
TBH: New WOW-Artworks looks more beautyfull as Gw2. Artists of WoW did a great Job for revamp. At least to your video content: Thanks, I like it!
I used the Logitech G13 (RIP) which had a thumbstick for WASD leaving the skills under the fingers. Which also allowed me to move weapon skills as I chose.
yo great video man thank you for all the tips
Wow 😳 best settings for control settings 👍
just started playing gw2 and this is by far the best video i have saw... i salute you
Am I correct to assume theres no way to just double left click an enemy and have the character continue auto attacking? Cause when I set it up as you did, I have to hold down left mouse button for the character to auto attack.
Amazing video btw.
I wouldn’t be able to play an mmo without an mmo mouse with thumb numpad!
I cannot make Radial Mount and Reshade 3D work together at all (using addon manager). Relly need help with this!
@@Reshaded3D Worked perfectly, thank you so much!
This is amazing ty ty ty ty!!!!! Your settings Nad work are amazing ty once again!!
how long you been playing GW2 for?
I change skill 12345... to C Q E R 2 3 M4 M5 etc. It helps since i can move while casting without delay
some really good stuff in this. thank you!
This video should have more views. Thx for it.
Hi IsaacGG, do you know if there is anyway to correct the fisheye effect on the side of the screen while playing GW2 on a widescreen? What are the best FOV settings or else? Both your pack by the way, looks nice, I'll just say a little dark in my opninion, butoverall, great work! It was worth 10 bucks.
What is that 2hs skin? I like your Cities of Sigmar necro look.
That's the gallant gs
@@Reshaded3D Got it! I absolutely love it! Excellent video and you definitely should make a video on you character outfits, considering GW2 Fashion Wars!
Incredible video!
Thank you :)
This was a fantastic video. I agree with everything you said.
Such an amusing video. I enjoyed it thanks
in relation to the skill keybind thing... just get a mmoo mouse with an appropriate ammount of thumb buttons, like the G600 from logitech... I can do all my spells without moving my left hand off of w, a, d, shift and spacebar...
Is using the reshader alright in terms of TOS?
Same question but with addons? specifically the ones seen in the video
I loved FF14 because they let use Switch pro controller, shame this game doesnt allow it
I sent a question in discord. Having trouble getting it setup. I'm using dx12, but game is on D drive, so maybe not in right folder. It said setup was done right, no settings in game come up.
Hello, I have replied to your question on discord :)
I subscribed, used your new .exe method (ultra), but the result, although good, wasn't like the one shown on your videos. Your videos show a more intence cell-shaded kind of effect on player color and tecture. Any reason-idea why this happens and how i can improve to be more like your video? also autoswitch is not working for underwater, and when logging out there is always an error message from game. Keep good work, waiting for an answer. thanks
Hello do you think I can use your Reshad3d preset + assets in other games? Specifically Swtor.
Reshade is amazing but the UI is also affected by the filters.
I was thinking if your preset could work for Swtor's UI
Why do you have weapon skill 1 not bound? What am I missing here
It is bound to my left mouse button instead, because of direct action camera. Therefore not indicating on screen. Once action cam is on, it does it automatically.
Damn I forgot QEFRVZX + CTRL/Shift Aren't the standard hotkeys!
in terms of shaders, is there something that just makes the colors sharper with more contrast? i turn off bloom and post-processing because the game just gets a little too obnoxious with how bright and glowy some stuffs are. i just want the game to be better shaded/gamma with less brightness.
If you have an Nividia GPU, geforce experience supports GW2. If not, you can use ReShade which achieves the same thing and then some
amazing man thanks I'm buying new machines but this old one is a Aspire 5 i5-7200U 2.5Ghz with 940MX with 2Gb Dedicated Vram, I just play GW2 in PC, but the heat worry me about ... Thanks for this guide :)
Do you have camera shake on why fighting skor @ 13:15? That should be off also imo...or at least mentioned as an option.
Fellow TKL gamer lets go.
Then my mates tell me: "ArenaNet does not allow modifications like this."
I go and play PvP and realize some players using Scripts they buy on special websites. This gives them a huge advantage. So this seems to be possible...but my Interface and Keybinds are not!?
I do not understand.
Switched to action cam today - LOVE it . Waaaaay easier to play imo
1 quick question though - any way to make it so left click will target an enemy im looking at? I hate it being right click (small gripe i know haha)
As soon when you switch to action cam left mouse becomes automatically attack 1 and auto target as well. Having the target settings in this video helps too.
Wow your game looks so much better then mine! How I do that? It looks clean and clolorful
Hey I am using reshaded3D for GW2 that enhances the graphics :) you can find the link in the description!
@@Reshaded3D awesome definitely something I’m interested in! Few questions tho! Is it for the whole game? (Like not just tyria? And is it EOD?) also I use and love arc but sometimes it will crash my game with an update or something would this happen as well or is it just a one and done kinda thing? I love doing fractals and occasionally raids so will it effect it at all?
wow, u got really good graphic there!
And if you play with a controller, every single thing you can do in combat is constantly at your fingertips. Not sure why anyone would play this game with mouse and keyboard unless they want to always lose to a controller player in PVP.
