You do have some beautiful looking tundra trucks but live so far away from the Appalachian mountains. We have lots of forestry roads and 4x4 trails in the western nc/ northeast tn/ north Georgia and Eastern ky mountains. I fortunately live only 25 miles from the bristol, tn nascar track. On race days when the blimp pans out the camera shots you see the beautiful holston mountains in the close about 20 mile distance east of the track. Just this past weekend I drove on old forestry and logging roads up on that west side of the mountain. They run from off of 19E hwy near elizabethyon for a good 40 miles northeast up to state route 421 that runs from bristol, tn all the way over into mountain city,tn and just south of Damascus, tn. If you continue driving east on rt421 you end up over in Boone, NC. Currently I own a stock 2023 Tacoma TRD off road model truck. Planning on getting the factory TRD lift kit installed and probably step uo to size 17 wheels and 275/70R17 or 285/70R1 tires. Then I can go on weekends to ride on all of the trails located within 60 to 120 mile radius from bristil area. Tackett creek located io by lafolette andctazwell tn has over 300 miles of trails and windrock park is in Oliver springs,TN is located just above oak ridge,tn. Then I can travel over past greenville and newpor5,tn areas to ride on the maby trails located. Off of interstate 50 that run back north towards hot springs, nc or you can drive ofvtrails south of interstate 40 tgat run over into catalooche, nc. If I want to drive about 2 5 hours I can go riding on the trails located in snowbird and Andrew's, nx which that area is located just south of Robbinsville and fintana/Bryson city areas. You can aldi drive on trails down there tgst run west back towards Oconee and tellico plains; TN. The cherokee national forest/ smoky mountain national park and pisgha national forest areas are off roading heaven on the eastern region of the United states. So thankful that my denton and jones families migrated west to settle in these beautiful northeast Tennessee region mountains back in the late 1780's. No prettier region on the east coast then living inbetween bristol/ Johnson city and knoxvillw tennessee eastern 1/3 of the state of Tennessee. Them beautiful cherokee and smoky mountain ranges look anazing cruising along down interstate 81 from br8stol towards Sevierville and then driving on interstate 40 driving southeast towards cosby,tn and them on over into Waynesville and asheville, nc areas being up into of them western nc mountains
If you all come up this way I would like to come along on offloading adventure with you all in my 2023 Tacoma trd offriad model truck. I can show you all around the northeast region by bristio/ erwin/ greencille and cosby tn areas and in the far western nc region by hot springs/ waynesville/Mars Hill and asheville areas. Also up on top of roan mountain east of bristol and jihnson city they have lots of cool atv and side by side trails to also go have fun crashing through the streams and mud. Both Tackett creek and windrovk have tons of trails to ride them atv/ 4 wheelers and side by side play toys on. They are noth located in north parts of Tennessee heading towards the Kentucky state line off of interstate heading from knoxville up towards richmond,jy (think it is interstate 75). Now if you are not afraid of some deliverance type banjo music you can drive 2 hours east on interstate 81 from bristol, TN up to ytheville & Bluefield,va area to go riding on the many off road parks located in Mingo,Pocahontas and McDowell counties. All located just above Bluefield,va off of interstate 77. I suggest you bring along a high caliber handgun as there are big cats and huge black bears in that lower southwest sections of the WV mountain.
From 1988 until last thanksgiving I had lived in Richmond, va. So glad I finally got to move back here to live in does country in the tri cities in northeast Tennessee. Have you all road on the trails over by Marion nd and up towards Pineville gorge just below grandfather mountain area in western nc, How about in uwharrie national forest? Could a stock tacoma TED Off road model 4x4 make it on those trails without having a winch? Also what is the best brand of winch to buy and get installed onto a tacoma?
@@gatordunn on my other tundra I have kings and they now offer them for the 2022+. Icon also has the new setup with traction bars, and then dobinson is what we will most likely with because we love their customer service and quality of parts.
Most people say the WC lift rides too stiff for daily driving. Since you've had it on for a little while now, is it bearable/ how does your wife feel about it? I bought this kit, but I am second guessing the install. Thanks!
It’s investable for off-roading,speed bumps, or rough roads. Other than that it tightens up the suspensions so if you like the stiff ride for the highway you will like it better.

Man i hate critiquing video production, but it would've been cool if you took full shots of the truck so we could see what the whole package looks like instead of just clips from close angles
@@overlandtundras it's not just you boss. There are so many of these videos of somebody's doing an install but just not showing the final overall product. thanks for the reply, subbed

I got the 23 pro, really happy to hear your opinion on the westcott ride.
Great company and products however there are a lot better suspensions set ups now that I would go with for comfort

Looks great. Just needs an FCT sticker lol
That’s right!!!
Maybe do a video comparing an overland setup to an off-road/crawler like we have in the group 🔥
Let’s get your overland set up next to a crawler !!
@@overlandtundras it would be night and day because my truck is in too nice of a condition 😂
Does this lift affect any of the safety cameras and radars? Like lane departure or break assist?
It does not! Not issues or codes. Make sure to get it aligned properly and drives straight.
Is that the matte gunmetal finish or gloss gunmetal finish ?
Matte gunmetal. Still has a little shine . I really like them
What size tires are you running.
Is it a 3 inch lift or 2.5?
Says it’s approximate 3”
Sweet setup! What offset did ya go with??
Thanks bro. Offset is 0
