When the little girl pointed at Peter saying that he knocked her out of the way, and they said how brave he was, he had that, "Aw, it's nothing" expression on his face.
They tried to make him and Marcia into singers after the show ended because they were the two favorites, but he had some issues with how they publicized him.
Mike is raising Peter right. Pete’s first instinct was to help the kid. Then he immediately asked, “Are you okay”? That says a lot about his character.
"I'm very sorry about that wall, Mrs. Spencer." THEN: "I'm not worried about that, now that Tina is safe." NOW: "I'm going to sue you for $10 million for mental anguish! Tina will be in therapy for years over this!"
I agree Alice got the one liners obviously Florence Henderson was so stunning. Robert Reed was a Shakespearean actor who hated the role but he did it for the money and he did love the kids and it got so frustrating if you’re a Brady Bunch trivia guy he got so upset with the very last episode of the last season. That’s why he wasn’t in it. He hated the idea and walked off the set for good but the show Was so good. I was only in the early 70s but I watched it in syndication in the 80s great show. The style doesn’t hold up but the family values do and we all know Martian Marsha Marsha we know Greg Jan with her middle class syndrome And of course, Cindy and Bobby playing around hanging out, but I’ll tell you the heart and soul without question was Peter
@michaelleary9233 I agree with you. It was Tiger who stole Bobbys kazoo and Cindys Kitty Karry All Doll. Tiger will learn. Is a beautiful dog. Peter Brady did his good deed for the day. If it wasn't for him. That little girl mấy not be alive and her whole family would've been heartbroken.
Those were the days. A child is almost killed by a defective wall anchor and the child's mother says she isn't worried about it. Today the first thing a mother would have done was call her attorney and launch a lawsuit against the store.
It´s always a little hard to shine for a middle child like Peter or his Stepsister Jan. Just look his brothers reaction. No wonder he enjoys to be a hero for a day...
I always thought that it was funny that Peter talked about it All of the time. When mom and dad told Peter that people don't remember heroes very long, Peter said, look at George Washington. Mr. Brady said, see you had to go back over 200 years to find one. Also when Bobby told Cindy that Peter told him that from now on he has to take out the Garbage. Bobby said that Peter told him that he didn't think that heroes should take out the Garbage.
When Peter mentioned George Washington as a hero that is remembered even today, did he think that people would still be talking about his heroic act 200 years down the road?
Scene 2: Peter enters stage left. His right sleeve suddenly appears to have a big gash in the middle, and he is covered with dust, even though this couldn’t have happened in the accident we just saw in Scene 1.
Great job young man you have a bright future in front of him smart and quick thinking like the style way to go you are one real hero you should be proud ! Joe
Hopefully he got a good job after the ice cream shop, lol. He was genuine at working at the bike shop & got fired because he wasn't mechanically inclined. But at the ice cream shop, Marsha fired him because he was a goof-off and a slacker. And was warned about it.
I think peter and Bobby are both heroes because Bobby used all of his life savings to buy a new doll and because Peter saved Tina from the falling wall and for trying to make Buddy stop bullying Cindy because she lazy S 👩🏼🦱💭🧒🏼👦🏼🦸🏼♂️🦸🏼♂️🤷🏼♀️👦🏼💵👧🏼🛍️🧒🏼🫂🧒🏼👱🏻💬(baby talk) 👧🏼
....Peter was *THE MAN* , for snappin' into action and saving Tina (0:19) (he's got 3 Sisters) ...but, can ANYONE save ME from 'Tina's BAD acting!??? (0:34) ...ha-HAA!!
That little girl didn't deserve to be saved ... she was a shoplifter and when she realized she couldn't reach the doll she planned to steal, she threw a tantrum pulled the wall down.
Mr. Spencer: ''...well, the newspapers will hear about THIS!"" (with a smile)........is about to put his admission to negligence / liability on blast to the public.
Now a days the mother will sue the shop owner and probably Peter. OSHA would fine the store and the mother would be posting about the traumatizing experience on TikTok.
I'm not the type that would sue if it was a family member of mine if no harm was done. Even if I was, having sufficient evidence would've been easier said than done.
LOL. Mrs. Spencer later sued the ass off that toy store owner, sent Tina off to an exclusive boarding school in Europe, divorced Mr. Spencer, bought a mansion in Bel Air, and married a guy 15 years younger. 😛
When the little girl pointed at Peter saying that he knocked her out of the way, and they said how brave he was, he had that, "Aw, it's nothing" expression on his face.
I love seeing all of the vintage toys in the store 😊
They're now collectors items.May find some at The Antique Malls or On Line, etc.
@@kurtkauffman4326 Definitely on eBay. Although, they sell for high prices, depending on the condition.
Nowadays they'd all be iPads and iPhones. Sad really.
@@josebro352 Very sad.
@@josebro352That toy store would be out of business.
Peter was always my favorite out of the Brady boys. 😊
You know he nailed plenty of tail after this.
He may have been the best actor in the bunch. Pardon the pun.
Wonder why stopped acting
They tried to make him and Marcia into singers after the show ended because they were the two favorites, but he had some issues with how they publicized him.
Ah yes, back in the day when independently owned toy stores were commonplace.
Heck, even Toys R Us doesn't exist anymore. Not where I live.
@@whyyoulittle4537 Toys R’ Us partnered with Macy’s. They have a location inside Macy’s and also have an online store. I think in Europe as well.
Mike is raising Peter right. Pete’s first instinct was to help the kid. Then he immediately asked, “Are you okay”?
That says a lot about his character.
Man! It was good Peter was there to save the day.
"I'm very sorry about that wall, Mrs. Spencer."
THEN: "I'm not worried about that, now that Tina is safe."
NOW: "I'm going to sue you for $10 million for mental anguish! Tina will be in therapy for years over this!"
In 2023, yes. In 1970, no.
Mike You have that right I grew up in that ERA things were so difficult back then.
2023: Why, that's awfully nice of you, Karen!
Sad but true.
The good old days when people understood that the fault does not always fall on the deepest pockets.
Another reason I liked Peter's character.
I agree Alice got the one liners obviously Florence Henderson was so stunning. This was another excellent early episode about the perils of fame and ego.
...and the perils of climbing on shelves that are not securely attached to the wall.
So sad the parents passed away and Alice too
Peter Brady did his good deed for the day. If it wasn't.for him. I don't want to think about what would've happened to that little girl.
Imagine the store owner going to the media about something like this these days!
Imagine girl's that was saved mom, been Karen.
I wanted to see his snot nosed brothers reactions😂❤
But Bobby was just as much a hero for buying Cindy another Kitty!
Yet Cindy’s original doll was found, so Bobby likely had to take it back to the store.
@@kandacehead9544 I was thinking the same thing, although having Tiger's slobber on it might have made that hard.
@@kandacehead9544 I wondered about that too. If the store didn’t take returns, Cindy can have twins, or give one doll to a friend.
Yeah, if she had given it to little Tina, she wouldn't have tried to climb the shelf to get one.😊
I love this one! I am glad he is back!
I love this one! and the Buddy Hinton story too!
I’d like that vintage unopened Monopoly game behind Mrs. Spencer.
You can see the strings pulling the wall when it falls down. Lol.
You're right. This was no accident. It was intentional. At 0:24, some one is pulling on the shelf to force it to topple over.
@@33VMUH
It could be Buddy Hinton.
@@lagarde2011 It could be Tiger. Isn't that a Kitty Carryall on the top shelf? Tiger really wanted a Kitty Carryall.
that store owner was in the third season lost in space episode Visit to a hostile planet" playing mister grover.
Good tidbit, thanks!
0:21 Awsome Peter !
I like this show
So cute and adorable
Peter was a hero, and he has every right to be proud, but that’s the end of it.
His ego wasn’t as big as Marcia was from time to time.
I noticed the mother didn't threaten to sue.
Those were the days. A child is almost killed by a defective wall anchor and the child's mother says she isn't worried about it. Today the first thing a mother would have done was call her attorney and launch a lawsuit against the store.
Oh how times have changed. Today it’s straight to the lawyers office.

Is any boy else irritated that they keep referring to that shelf as a "wall"? And how did he tear his jacket?

At 0:24, in the top you can see a string pulling the shelf down.
I also have an HO Scale Model Kit called "Toy & Hobby Shop".I named it Driscoll's.
Mr. Driscoll is gonna get sued.
We already subscribe to the chronicle ! Why not let the gentleman finish a sentence mrs Brady
So you are the customer who listens to the whole sales spiel. I smell poverty in your world.
You can see the string pull the shelving down at 25 seconds look near the top.
I read that the actress who played the little girl recently died.
I would be so mad at my daughter or son trying to climb a shelf at a store. I would apologise to the store owner. I know not point but still.
I have this series on DVD. It is the only set I have not finished watching. After 3 episodes, it is really tough to watch more. You need endurance.

Let me guess, Peter is going to get a big head.
I feel bad for Peter. He saved a girl from being killed, but nobody believed him (except the reporter, of course).
