My Mum was adopted and was mercilessly bullied for it when she was at school until she said quite loudly to the most popular girl in her year group *"Yes I'm adopted that means my Mum chose me, your Mum just got stuck with you"* and it stopped the bullying about being adopted, she was still bullied relentlessly but not about being adopted.

Same here, I've been shaking and feeling sick since I started the video. I was bullied mercilessly all through primary and high school and my son is being bullied now. It triggers me from my own experiences but it also terrifies me for my sons safety. What the hell is wrong with kids?? Parents are nearly ALWAYS responsible for their kiss actions. Children aren't born bad. They're made that way

How utterly disrespectful of Boy B father's actions in the court room. His son lured an innocent girl to her death. He is by no means innocent. Boy B father is still able 2 hug & talk to his son. He will be coming home. Anna's parents unfortunately doesn't have that luxury. SMH

When Ana’s case broke here in Ireland we were so overcome with grief then to our horror, two children were culpable; to say shock was an understatement. Emma, you truly captured the heart and soul of the beautiful and innocent Ana and the shame we feel. I believe she is with her dad and both are looking over Geraldine. This is what I worry about most, my daughter is super tall for her age, she's autistic and behind in her age, she has sensory aversions, she struggles to maintain relationships with her peers, and gravitates towards adults, but she's so polite and sweet, and talks to everyone, socially she's a few years behind her age, but academically she's beyond her years, my worry is how much she stands out, and she'd go along with anything, she has no sense of danger, despite trying to show/teach her, my daughters middle name is anastasia as well, I fear something like this, as this isn't the 1st true crime case surrounding an additional needs child, this lovely little girl didn't deserve this, I'm so so sorry 😞

I knew my daughter's every move, from her phone, 2 what she looked at on social media. It's so readily available and I kno the dangers and how influential it can be! It's all kids kno these days! In my day we made our own entertainment, we actually socialised, got out there... these days kids are cooped in their rooms and easily lead but either way, u get involved In something bad and dnt have a conscious 2 say something, ur guilty by association. Parents need 2 take more responsibility, it's not jus dwn 2 schools 2 teach right and wrong, teach them manners (which incidentally doesn't cost anything). Kids need routine. I'm a single parent and I've brought my daughter up the same way I was strict but fare, I've never raised a hand 2 my daughter because I've never had 2! She is a good and moral individual, who went on2 university, graduate and get a good job... I always taught her 2 value herself and aim 4 the best. If I never got anything else right in my life, I certainly did good by her and I'm very proud.

Gosh, I remember reading about this! I feel so bad for the dad, I bet he was swimming in unnecessary guilt... I know so many people would want to point the blame at the dad, but how was he meant to know? Just like how was Ana meant to know of their evil intentions? These weren't grown, dodgy looking men or even the common bullies at school that made her life hell but two young boys, she knew of and for the dad, two young children that look like her... It's like the case of Shanda Sharer, no one had any suspicions and why would you? Children are meant to be harmless in societies, but at the end of the day they are human and every human has it in them to be evil, to hate, have a mental illness (I know that most people with mental illnesses, including myself will never harm anyone by the way) and many other reasons people kill or harm others.
In my opinion, I think the lack of knowledge when it comes to serious consequences can make a child dangerous to the vulnerable, for example disabled or other children, as well as anyone if they have a weapon and a desire to harm... I bet many of these young killers think a sorry or a time out makes it equal, but they should have the same consequences as a fully grown murder. In my opinion, if you're going to act like an 'adult', by doing an 'adult' crime, you should be punished like one as well

terrible, just reading the title gives you goosebumps! But if I already read Boy A and Boy B, I'm full. If I can murder like a big man, my name can be mentioned too. There are always discussions about that, I'm aware of that. But I really just think practically. Action reaction. I don't want to have such a creature in my neighbourhood one day. It's as simple as that. We just had two 14 year old boys who raped and then murdered a girl of the same age. Then they got the girl who only went along because she was very fond of one of the boys. Both had been saying for months that they felt like murdering and raping. Since both were under 14, almost nothing happened. NOTHING. Now I wonder how the girl's family feels now? SHE had her whole life ahead of her and ended up violated and strangled on the train tracks. No, such monsters do not deserve to be protected.

Hi Emma, You have a wonderful, unique way of describing and explaining all these terrible, heart wrenching murders. They are all so tragically sad, this one was no exception. I could never come to terms with the death of one of my 3 children, two daughters in their 40’s and my son 39. I feel so lucky and blessed. Thank you for using your expertise so professionally and passionately, hard though it is to comprehend the mass cruelty of humans on humans . 😢

Thank you, Emma, for the deep explanation on bullying from others, and stunningly, from the bullied. It has been very helpful to me to know about it. The education system, globally, has failed in a appalling way to do something about this really, really, horrible (an understatement) problem in teenagers and even children. The bullies’ parents also bear some responsibility...they are the ones who primarily are the ones that instill the right values since the very beginning of there lives. I might be weird, I can tell you right now, I could not, I would not have the slightest empathy towards him. I do empathize with the parents, though. The shock, the pain of knowing what evil person their son was. Social Media: fun but also sooooo dangerous.

Such a beautiful soul had her light extinguished. I wish I had been her age and in her school I would have cherished a friendship with a lovely girl like her. Growing up being bullied myself was so lonely and soul destroying. I still struggle as an adult, always apologising, fretting and worrying about not pleasing people. Whilst the bullies themselves go on to live their lives without a care for the destruction they have caused. RIP Ana may you be at rest. ❤

I'm just into the first 15 minutes and crying. I had the experience except for the online bullying. I was beaten up by my best friend and her other friends many times because I was different. Not having money, my father dying, having a stepfather, etc, etc. Then my fiance died, and it rumored his friend, and I killed him. I couldn't take it anymore, I left school and tried to leave this world. Then, cut off all feelings. My kids are the only people I love in the world. I've never told this to anyone before. Bullying should be taken seriously and severely punished. It's life and death for some. I'm so pissed and sorry for writing this.

Boy B. I’m ok with his sentence.

So if killers like this get new identities does it mean they get a totally clean criminal record? Could they, say, apply for a job that asks if they've had any convictions they can say "No."? Or could they get a DBS to work with the vulnerable? How would it work?
Thanks for doing another good job, Emma.

Im guessing that like Jamie Bulgers killers, there is heq y supervision & conditions to observe, despite the new identity. As soon as Jon Venables supervision went from weekly to monthly, he spiralled into booze & drug problems, leaked his real name to people & then child p*rn was found on his computer . He's back in prison for the 2nd time since getting his new identity. . He's trying to get parole again this year.

This is such a horrible case on every level. I heard about it at the time. But Emma puts rightly the bullying and it’s consequences into the light. This murder may not have happened were the community around Ana so oblivious and toxic. I really feel, the bullies are also to blame for her fate. Although they are not culpabable from a legal perspective, they certainly are on a moral level. To be so isolated makes a person, especially as unassuming and kindhearted as Ana, very vulnerable. Hope they learn the hard way from their actions. She was a beautiful girl, inside and out. It’s heart breaking. May she rest in peace and her dad by her side. 😇 ❤️

    • @metalheadjake3339
      @metalheadjake3339 Рік тому +1

They are to blame. You're right.
Bully victims in school are seen as subhuman and lesser. Hence why bullying them in a very messed up way is seen as socially acceptable by other kids in school.
It's really messed up and it's no wonder bullied kids develop such mental health issues like paranoia, anger management, depression and anxeity or how in some extreme cases. They end their lifes.
If just one boy or girl in the school treated Ana like she was a human being worthy of kindness and respect and didn't treat her like a outcast. Maybe she would of been happier and alive.
People go on and on about victims needing to stand up for themselves but most victims do. It's other people who need to stand up for the victims as well. Show the victims they aren't alone or the whole world isn't against them.

This is possibly the most heartbreaking of all cases 💔. As the mother of an adopted child, I understand that it is a hard for children who have been or are still in care to ‘fit in’ and that sadly they are at the receiving end of bullying being particularly vulnerable and gullible in their need for friendship and belonging. My daughter, too, has been in that place even though we have always told her that being adopted is something to be proud of. What my biggest issue is the school and the complete and utter failure of the educational system. WHY did they not do something about the bullying? WHY weren’t they aware how alone she was? How could they allow for self harm to happen without doing anything? It’s disgusting! Schools have a responsibility to children and young people to have a zero tolerance to bullying. My daughter’s primary school was a disaster in that respect. They clearly isolated her and wouldn’t let her sit with her friends because of a specific girl that was bullying her. However, said girl was not told off, had no consequences and revelled in the pain my daughter was in. Horrid. 😡 Thankfully, her secondary school is the extreme opposite and are very inclusive and Will not allow this type of alienation.

She was such a beautiful young lady, and I'm sure she would've made the world a brighter, happier place if this psychopath hadn't murdered her.. I don't agree with the laws of protecting murderers identities. It just seems like they get more protection and human rights than their victims. I know some countries even give them new identities. I don't feel like this should be legal for them to change their names, because future potential victims should at least have the opportunity to find out who they really are . Imagine getting married to this psychopath not knowing what he's done? Then finding out years later, or sadly, becomes another victim? I'll never understand countries that protects the criminals more than the victims. 🤬🤬
