Beautiful restoration! Keeping and restoring the bolts gives it lots of character! The iron was brought back to its old beauty! Thank you for sharing guys.
Carmen, it is always fun to restore old things, so they don't end up in the trash, and also my grandson wants this bench after we are gone so im happy about that, thanks for watching.
Love it Dennis and Julie, I would drill a hole and put a bolt and nut on the cross brace underneath in the middle of the X. Have a great holiday you guys.
Terry, i will try a uni bit next time and if i come across one of the metal frame picnic tables i will let you know about it, i don't think you live too far from me.

Another great project. It looks better now than it probably did when it was new. I be you and Julie can get real cozy on that bench.

Try a uni-bit for the taper next time. Very nice job. I've been looking for the old metal frames for a picnic table to restore. Haven't found one yet.
