Very much agree. I had a Syil 12 years ago. (the older stuff) and it was excellent theyve really put the work in over the years. Tormach just keeps upping their price and not much else.
@@trevoradams8675 I sold my 770 series 3 due to how much it was breaking down, the paper weight ATC, and no matter how .much time I put into trying to adjust the ways for better accuracy, my parts would always be over .005 out of round. These are cheap hobby machines with entry level industrial machine prices. I don't know why people keep buying them.
@@makun16 I hear you. Almost everyone I know that tried them replaced their spindle at some point. I guess they’re accessible? Not sure why people keep buying them. The fact their prices are jumping up but the quality isn’t tells me they’re probably not in a good place as a company. They dropped their surface grinder too. About the only useful thing they made in my opinion. Again a sign they’re floundering

Lol it looks exactly like Syntec control software - the startup sequence and some colors on some menus and the shapes of the menus are identical.
That controller looks very similar to the new Fadal. The parameters look identical.

Syil x7 is what tormach should have been. Syil puts them to shame.
