    Guruji hasn't gone anywhere ji, the whole of Sikhi is based upon GurPrasaad, on the Gurus grace. They are still here and able to bless us. Watch our video on "What is Guru for the Sikhs" as part of our One Day Course. As far as Sikhi is concerned, Guru and Vaheguru are the same light.

    Its not a question of punishment, its more complicated. Yes, we should try and follow Gurusjis hukam on timings of paat, but also its about how much we focus, understand, read with love and then follow that determines benefit. Guruji is one who decides, I'm no one to decide Gurus kirpa.

    WJKK WJKF - Amritvela and nitnem are two very important practices. You should start with Japji Sahib and then the rest of the 5 banis.
    Just learn how to read them by listening or santiya teachings at Gurdwara Sahib. If you can memorize slowly that is ultimate.
    Then go into the meanings of the words. The second bani will probably take a year to learn meanings but will be a crucial point to understanding Gurbani in future. Lastly move all banis to amrit vela time and boom you become a Nitnemi Sikh! Doing whichever bani you know at Amritvela will start getting you great benefits.

      Amanvir Gurudyal Kaur i have seen alot of people in Gurudwara itself doing path in hindi/English. I think you should definitely do that, however side by side, start learning punjabi and after a month or two start doing path not "all" at a time but like 5 verses atleast so that atleast you understand how words are pronounced cause with Hindi and English gutka you obviously can't get a perfect way of pronunciation (shudh ucharan). As for benefits and all lol that's just god grace sometimes reading thousands of manuscripts just for the sake of it won't get you closer to god on the other hand of paradigm just reciting a simple prayer from your heart may. Stay blessed. Chardikala. 😊😊

    • @84LA84
      @84LA84 7 років тому +4

      Yes, of course... I used to do this myself, before I was able to read Gurbani/Gurmukhi properly :-)

    • @mikesmith7620
      @mikesmith7620 6 років тому +2

      A simple reply. You can find Nitnem in any other language online (I think) I only know that the translations are in English for sure. If you type in Nitnem in English if you have a phone if on iphone, download "mysikhi." Not sure what apps are available for andriod :D
      And yes, doesn't matter what language you're reading Nitnem or Gurbani on, as long it's like a same "spelling" "pronunciation" or "meaning" then benefits are same. :)

    • @jasbirkaurvillaschi8019
      @jasbirkaurvillaschi8019 4 роки тому +1

      sis , you can get a romanised gutka e.g. the Nitnem by Harbans singh Doabia , it has gurmukhi, romanised pronouciation underneath then english translation opposite , that's how I learned my banian when I was a kid of ten . Doing it but english words is definitely not the same as there are some words which are not exactly translatable or even mistranslated when put into another language (english is not as subtle in terms of spiritual concepts).

    VJKKVJKF, I can only try
    (1) this is a problem of tradition, its unclear when this started. I disagree with the rule for women, it is against the rehat maryada. in history non-sikhs such as rebabis did do kirtan there too.
    Wrt to the Jakara and katha, I think this may be because most gurdwaras represent both miri and piri but not at Harimandir sahib as they have akaal takht sahib too.
    (2) watch our video "Why do Sikhs wear turbans?
    (3) Watch "Can non-sikhs get to god?

    WAHEGURU KI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH...
    I was just hoping if you could clear my doubts on this.
    Questions
    1) Why a Female cant recite KIRTAN in darbar sahib (Amritsar)and also there's no katha inside sachkhand and no JAKARA?
    2) AS per gurbani human race is to get Our self attached to got then whats the importance of keeping hair and creating Different identity?
    Is Sikhism the only way to get to GOD?
    IF yes then are we saying that no other than Sikhs can achieve GOD?
    DHANWAAD

    I fully understand the relevance and the essential roles that all the Gurus's played in giving 'birth' to Sikhism for the good of humanity under the instruction of God. However, the danger of constant emphasis on the Guru ji's can also distract the followers from the sole Creator, Vaheguru. In other words, it is easier to focus on things we can see, imagine and that are familiar to our every day life, yet it is equally imperative to concentrate and focus on Ik Onkar.

      First of all you need to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately. I'm sorry to hear that you and your mother a victim of this.
      Second... you need to understand that Vaheguru brings both happiness and suffering. The Guru Granth Sahib Ji will help you remove your suffering and pain. Just reciting Benti Chaupai and doing Naam will help you and offer you protection. If you were an actual Sikh who followed the Guru Granth Sahib Ji then I wouldn't see this happening to you.
