You need to work on getting things in frame while you’re describing them - etc but keep enjoying the hobby, hope to see this channel grow - happy landings
It would definitely help out to have someone work a camera while I focus on flying but unfortunately I’m 90% of the time flying by myself so I use a GoPro and it doesn’t have the best zoom lol if I had a camera person the videos would definitely be better. Maybe one day haha 🍻
I bought the PNP model with 2S recommended the motor had no power whatsoever wouldn’t even get up battling a 5 mile an hour wind. Waiting for a new racer star 2212 but I’m wondering if it will even work also trying to get a 4023 motor, can’t find one anywhere close have to order one from China takes about a month
I swapped out the anemic 2S motor for a Dualsky 3036EG. Has the same mounting hole spacing and therefore fits the plastic motor holder that came with the original setup. But importantly has a 5mm shaft which has more stiffness than the smaller diameter shafts. That said, I did need to reinforce the firewall. I cut a piece of 1mm carbon fibre plate to the same profile as the firewall and glued that on the outside. On the inside I applied a layer of slow setting epoxy glue to the firewall and the first 10 mm of sides back from the firewall. The final result is close to perfect and the better motor supplies a highly enthusiastic climb rate 😀
Hello from down under Australia, I'm interested to know the motor you installed and what size 3s battery are you using I have the plug and play version and I'm already thinking of a motor upgrade and possibly a ESC so I can run 3s and 4s Any information would be greatly appreciated as I am only back into flying after 20 years break Thanks and good flying 👍
I agree, I just had to add epoxy to the hole front fuselage because I swapped the motor to a RacerStar 4023 850kv and it pulled the motor through the fuselage lol 😂
I am totally confused:- I have bought the Phoenix 742-7 and see there are items that the kit does not include however I cannot find what items are missing or a list of items recommended . I would appreciate somebody telling me the full details of these items so that I can receive them for when the aeroplane arrive; It is impossible to contact anybody to find out.
I don’t know about the kit but the PNP comes with plane with all 4 servos , 2212 motor with plastic spinner and 10x6 folding props. A 30a 2-3s esc and aluminum spar. Has all over the linkages and a screwdriver 🪛
@@dronepilot260rc Well here in France there are two options, PNP and Trousse, I chose the latter I think it was a mistake as I cannot find out what is omitted. I think its the battery, prop, motor and speed control. Thanks for your reply.

@@MelodylaneLou you can run the stock motor with a 8x5 folding prop and 3s

I’m using the RacerStar 4023 850 kv motor from banggood and a 3s 2200 lipo works perfectly
I have two 2000 pheniox and two 1600 Pheinox
I have V1 and V2 of both and I like the V1 1600 best
The fuse is always a problem for the motor above 2s

Just order the 2400
I have the 2000 but this one flies better. How do you like the 2400?
@@dronepilot260rc it’s on its way still
I think I might try the big ranger just to have a variety
@@dronepilot260rc that’s the one I ordered Ranger2400
