- Tim Mackie of the @bibleproject is a massive influence of this page and many of you who follow it. Personally Tim has introduced me to literally Hundreds of scholars. But none are more important than @DRMSH Dr. Michael Heiser is a scholar that changed the way I view the Bible and the way I see the story that Jesus connected himself with. I want this video to be an introduction to not only Dr Heiser but also the supernatural focus of the Bible that has been eliminated in most churches.
Sadly Dr. Heiser lost his battle with cancer and is now with the Lord. His loss is still fresh with all of us who love him. We will honor his work in any way we can here.

Dr Micheal Heiser deserves the credit, May he rest in peace, He wrote The Unseen Realm and had Mackie on his podcast, which is likely how people heard of Mackie to some degree. They both went to U of W-Madison for their doctorate, Mackie was just starting and Heiser was finishing his doctorate which was about the unseen realm. I love both of these men, they are truly a gift from God to shine a light in these very dark times and to help understand the Bible better than we have in the last several centuries! Praise the Lord for His grace and mercy and TRUTH. Thank you kind sir for putting pieces of their teaching together for us!

They’ve never said anything or put out an exact comment on this subject. Many draw conclusions from one of Tim Mackie’s famous sermons that he preached over a decade ago. Even INSIDE this sermon mini misunderstand what he’s saying. in context you might agree more with their stance and understanding. They try not to focus on these controversial issues so that more people can grow and gain from their content that truly does help us discover the Bible on its own terms.
Member God allowed that freaking snake to do all this so your anger still should be and the responsibility for all the chaos pain and suffering in the world. The buck stops with God either is sovereign over all things are he not you can’t have it both ways.
@@randallburgess6393 the only thing got allowed was free choice and free Will. Divine sovereignty means in the end God will get what he wants. But along the way he has given all of us including spiritual beans the ability to choose between right and wrong. He did not make robots.the spiritual beings rebelled first and deceived humanity to follow the lies of the snake rather than the words of our father. However our father has not abandoned us but has literally entered into the story in the person of Jesus and is actively rescuing all of creation from supernatural evil.

Yeah, but you can’t just simply let God off the hook for the suffering in the world because you want on one hand God to be sovereign and and to take the authority of scripture as the word of God and the word says that he has over all the other God there is no God like him. He is the God of gods OK well the buck stops with him if he has authority over them and he allows evil to continue and he allows, the council of idiots that he set up you can’t tell me that one. God was so stupid. He didn’t see this coming or that somehow he just doesn’t have the means to stop the evil that they’re doing and all we can do is ring his hands in heaven and go oh my oh my the council of 70s is done bad things now what do I do? Give me a break he planned this he planned this war of good and evil he planned for us to suffer, it’s like the Marxist agenda of humankind and we shouldn’t be surprised because in a sense God uses this authoritarian model of rule and he uses it on human beings to rule earth as well, but just as humans and marks and create chaos and then create the solution for the chaos so they look good. God does the same thing. God create the world out of chaos but then once he establish human beings in it, then goes about setting about the chaos it’s going tocause human beings to call out to him to save them so in essence God saves us from the very chaos that he created. You are thinking and reasoning with a man's mind. Please continue reading the Bible and pray that God renews your mind and changes your understanding of what you read and how you think. What has helped me in this is studying God's nature, who He is.
Understanding the text for the first time in the way it was intended has connected the dots for me in a way that I didn’t think possible. I thank YHWH for Mike and Tim for bringing this into the general discourse

If you read all Gods books you will have better understanding. Who canonized the Bible. Maybe there was a hidden hand in all that. If you were well studied there are all kinds of catholic preaches that are working against us. The state of israbaal is not Israel all that believe in the Son are Israel.
I couldnt agree more on the influences. I have come to the same people in my journey. I appreciate coming across other people also on the path of seeking Jesus with all our heart/soul/spirit.

The Bible doesn’t say. It just says they were there and that they were there afterwards. Many scholars believe this verse in genesis is pointing to the fact that these warrior giants remained “afterwards” concerning the flood

Hi, great question. First just to be noted, I’m only speculating and commenting from a fan standpoint. But I am a huge fan. I believe Tim has currently put aside his pastoral role to focus his efforts at the Bible project.
However he is almost I would say every three months popping up somewhere speaking, preaching, and teaching us how to love the Bible and Jesus more. I’ve got a recent one that is an absolute gem that I’ll be putting out soon. Stay tuned, the beginning is near.❤️🔔🥳
