Not to sound cheesy, but for the past year, I've been exploring the outdoors through your channel. I have been recovering from a serious accident, so I've been homebound. I miss hiking and camping and going on adventures. For me, watching your videos lifts my spirits while I recover. One more surgery to go, and I hope to get back out there myself! Thank you for being here, my friend.
I'm 52 now. I can't adventure out because I'm disabled. Watching your videos is a real privilege because, I feel like I'm on the adventure with you. I particularly love when Suzie is with you. You two make a great team. 👍
Hi Alexandria, I feel the same way you do. I'm 57 and also disabled, really enjoy watching Luke’s and Susie’s adventures from the comfort of my heated and ACed living room. Ha Ha LOL😀
Lol, I'm handicapped also, I'm 68 and retired an EMT, my dream job, I went to the college and was the oldest one in my class. I really hope that one day you'll be able to take one camping trip just because. You'll love it. Take care 🙂
Luke, when you get home you need to give your wife a huge hug and tell her you love her. Any woman who would watch her man go off into the wilds right into the teeth of very dangerous, ferocious weather conditions without complaining is a real strong Lady with a real big heart. Glad you survived it Brother!!!
I'm 64 with leukemia and heart failure and have trouble moving about the house. Your videos of camping and moving about the woods are wonderful to watch, more so with the rain which I love to see. I get excited watching them. Thank you so much.
This situation is one of those that if you were a truck camper, you wouldn't have to worry about the winds. You would ALREADY be in your truck topper in your nice cozy bed.
It was totally the fairy lights. Unironically has become a staple item in "comfy campsite" kits. Lightweight, compress-packable, lasts a decent amount of time and solar-chargable. And just so aesthetically pleasing...
I am a 73 yr old great grandmother living on a mountain in Ga. I watch your videos at night in winter and absolutely love it. As I get under my down comforter at 1 of 2AM I replay your videos in my head. I sleep so good.
My favorite part of your videos is when you make your coffee and say "cheers my friends.. cheers" lol I LOVE IT!! I always make myself a big cup of my Chai tea before I watch your videos and cozy up in bed
This is my kind of camping. I take a backpacking cot with me because its the only way ive found to actually get some sleep outdoors. Loved it! One for the gear junkies

That walk back to the truck was treacherous, thank you for letting us see you made it safely back, those winds were scary! Thanks for bringing us along!
not sure why but the windy rainy nights i find soothing outside.....almost more so that hot sweaty clammy summer nights....great effort filming in those elements
I love watching your videos, it’s the closest I’ll ever get to exploring the beautiful, but sometimes harsh landscape. With that said, I’d never in a million years have the courage to do what you do. I find myself worrying about the danger of situations like that and glad I’m in the comfort of my home watching! You take your audience on a journey and make us feel like we’re there with you. Great job! 👍
You could do it!! Check out some of Susie's solo adventures...i used to think i couldn't do it either but seeing Susie in action gave me the courage to give it a try this past fall and it was very therapeutic to go solo camping and i can't wait to do it again
I was squinting my eyes and grimacing over the brutal hike back to the truck,Thank God We made it back safely , Thanks for taking us along , Safe travels God Bless All !
Yeah, wind is cool to listen to .... especially the harmonics that come out of a good gust of wind blowing through and around the pipe frame for my awning. I may be getting some from my next door (townhouses) neighbor's awning frame too. First time it happened I thought it was my gutter doing it (ya know, like coming loose) but I had it inspected by the installer and it is tight to the house .... so it's gotta be the awning frames. It really gets to howling when we have a good storm with high winds.
Luke and Susie i appreciate your videos. The lone wolf adventures you each take have given me the courage to go camp alone. Seeing Susie camping on her own made me realize that i can do so too and it brought me much peace and joy
I noticed when Dan Dan the adventure Man left and it made me wonder what was happening. To hear the news about his charges was a shock. They really had a good thing going. Thx for amazing content!! I’ve never even been camping, but I watch every new release! 😂
You should try camping out!! You'd be surprised how wonderful it is especially going solo...try a rustic site at a campground then you have the experience with the safety of park rangers and camp hosts.
Luke, you love this kind of weather, you thrive in it. When you're up there and things can get hairy you show all of us what to do and how to be prepared. I do enjoy your video's you're out in the cold and I am in semi warmth, so it works out okay. Stay safe and Blessings
May I make a suggestion? When the wind is blowing as it was on your hike out and back to the truck, have you ever thought of using a clear pair of safety glasses? That way the wind won't whip around your eyes and possibly cause problems. Thank you for taking us along with you on these camping trips. I'm almost 72 and have always had problems with my knees, so I don't go camping, but I enjoy your videos very much. Have a great week.
So amazing how you adapt to any weather conditions. I am an older grandma who just loves watching your adventures. Covid has kept many of us inside too long.. I am going to start camping again.
I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now and I have learned a lot from you. Thank you. I have set up my SUV with gear for camping and in case of emergencies. A few years ago, Texas had the winter storm and thanks to you, I was prepared.
I just want to say thank you. Watching your videos allows me to give my son ideas and tips. We would go camping when he was still school age. Great memories. I do find your videos enjoyable and relaxing. Again, thank you for these videos.
All right! A North Carolina ice storm! We had one of those about this time of year when I was in basic training at Ft. Bragg. Shut all training down. You could have ice skated to the mess hall. Every long needle on those southern pines was encased by about an 8th of an inch thick coat of ice. Backlit by the full moon, they sparkled like Christmas trees.
That was awesome!!! I’ve been in similar situations. I woke up with my dog on the trail to 60 mile an hour winds , intense rainfall, thunder and lightning. We packed up and had about 5 miles to the trailhead, trees falling all around, my dog kept stopping out of fear; couldn’t see 10 feet in front of me. The next day a tornado hit that trail so hard it was closed for almost two years. **side note - I always leave super comfy cotton clothes to change into when I get back to my Jeep, makes the long road home fantastic
Fantastic video my friend , I have to say I watched your video tucked up in my warm bed lol take care my friend can't wait for the next video love from the UK
I was so stoked knowing you uploaded another adventure video! I am always looking forward to more of your adventures and taking us with you. Its a really awesome video. Appreciate everything you do. You were really born and made for this. The mountains must absolutely love you too. What makes me enjoy and love your videos is how passionate you are with this stuff & how you actually take some decent time and effort to make sure everything is well thought of and prepared for. I am loving how you love what you are doing consistently. Its amazing
For the record as a former Marine , this is without a doubt my favorite channel , you should raffle away a guided camping trip brother , I would instantly put my name in the cover . Semper Fi!!!!, from Arizona
Thank Goodness you came through that icy cold wind. I once had a $39 tent get ripped to shreds in 5 minutes by winds. I thanked the Lord that I was tented beside my truck. It could have been a life saver for me. I was dressed for the cold and rain, but the cab of the truck was the best shelter around.
Another great video luke .A note to anyone watching this the conditions luke is hiking in can kill you through exposure but Luke is really experienced. In 1990 my dear friend died in Wales in conditions just like this in Snowdonia National Park.
for the comment about the advertisements. THIS is why I come back to your channel as soon as the next video drops. I know i'm going to get an adventure with a down to earth person that isn't trying to sell me anything. AND you test the gear that you do recommend better than I would ever need to. keep up the work fellow human.
Luke👍👍💪 Horrendous weather camp, good go. Those winds remind me of my territory, only I've got no mountains or trees, no wind breaks, just flat land, grass and weeds. I can deal with most weather but wind is the one thing that ruins outdoor activity for me. Glad the tent/tarps setup worked and no surface winds. Thanks for the exhausting work bringing us along, well done. Bet you were beat after this one, rest up and we'll see you next time.
I’m glad you made it safe. That was an all around great experience. Love getting to go on these camping trips. You make life exciting. Thank you Luke. You are appreciated.
I’m really happy that adventure with purpose has reached such a large milestone of stretching across the world. Helping bring more peace and reconciliation of life and our loved ones ❤ I found this channel a long time ago from watching one of there vids. Funny how stuff comes full circle.
Thanks for filming your return to the truck. We know you made it or we would not be watching the video. Iit brought a very satisfying end to another fantaxtic video. Also, nice choice of music for your outtro. It created a dystopian atmosphere from the ominous weather, desolate surroundings, and, one man in the middle of it all.
Hi Luke! I am so glad you brought the extra tarps! Those winds were FIERCE! PS: Would back the reinforcements. Also put better hand pulls on the stakes, with double knotts.
I was in a forest once and there was high wind whipping through the tops of the trees and I felt no wind at all ground level. You see the tops of the trees blowing this way and that and hardly a leaf blew ground level. You could hear the wind up high. Amazing experience. I love your camp outs. Thank you.
I like seeing you make camp and how you set things up. But, what I would really be interested in is seeing you break camp in the nasty weather and pack everything so well in your pack again. It appeared that everything you brought was factory fresh packed in their cases. We all know nothing goes back in the case as well as it came out. Add in cold hands, wind, rain and fatigue and it can be a real challenge just to get everything back in the pack. And the pack usually ends up looking like walnuts stuffed into socks. I would love to see your technique and how you make the magic trick of getting everything back in the pack in miserable weather conditions.
Hi Luke, just watching that made me shiver. I am viewing things from England and a couple of things come to mind regarding the fact you are looking at a possible Japanese import, first thing is it will be a right hand drive the second is that of these imports that came into the UK a few years back and they rotted away very quickly, as in the UK we put a rock salt on our roads in the winter, but in Japan they use a chemical de-icer and therefore their vehicles do not have any under sealing on the underside. This maybe something you already know, but I do not know how you keep your roads clear of ice etc, just thought I would mention it. Great content and a Merry Christmas to all.
Man Luke, we must always be on the same thought process. I just bought the Tetra and am planning on an overnighter with it next week. Keep putting out the awesome content brother!
Our whole city is covered in black ice so completely feel you! Ice, sleet and rain. Your insane to do this but I love your Channel and glad your safe. Hope your finger heals quickly.
I love all your adventures Luke, especially the ones like this that I wouldn't dare go out in alone, on a side note that music at the end was haunting and beautiful, where can i hear it complete?
I can’t believe how much stuff you had packed in your bag. I am amazed, excellent exclamation of everything we enjoy your videos and also your wife’s commentaries. She does a good job as well.
Not sure if this video already exists from you but is there a way we can get some "best practices" when camping? Like when I notice you put your little bags of things back into a larger bag or best ways to pack a bag so you don't lose anything or save time while packing up?
Hi there Luke, xmas greetings from New Zealand. Can i ask why you seldom if ever use a tent with a sewn in groundsheet. I swear by them, so much more comfort and protection. Cheers Dave.
It froze Niagara Falls Mann.. twas so dangerous for you to be camping but thanks for showing us! I’d rather see you safe at home. THX KEEP SAFE ALWAYS!
Awesome as always Luke.. Another outstanding video from the Man. Thank you Luke. You're Awesome. Ignore the naysayers they haven't a clue. KEEP ADVENTURING GOD BLESS YOU 🤗HUGS🤗
Luke my wife bought me the Garmin instinct solar watch you reviewed and wear all the time for my Birthday. I really like it but I must confess I gotta get used to all the gadgets it has. I was born in the 1960's and it takes a little more for me to absorb this technology lol. Thank you for your honesty in the things you reviewed. This old Army Veteran thanks you. S&H my friend. We are from Puerto Rico and are always watching your UA-cam channel. Because of you we go camping a lot more and have bought quite a lot of the things you have reviewed. Thanks again.
Holy Glamping Batman!!! There is no way you are farther than a mile from your truck, at least I hope not because your kit is unheard of in the backpacking community! That said, I love that we are the same in regards to storm camping...you feel alive baby!!! Thanks for sharing this Dash!!! - Davey.
Oh now we are camping! Awesome setup. I had to add this in: I have had 4 jeeps. Two of them had slight issues when I first bought them but after that, they were solid. My last jeep went 250K miles when I sold it. It was a tank.
Had to reply.. I've had 5 Jeeps and I've had little to no issues. I currently have the latest JLUR, no problems. I've also had 1 Toyota 4x4 and it had multiple problems. To each his own. I'll go to my grave owning a Jeep. 🙂
Thanks for posting this! Never had a Jeep before, but I have my Dad's last project before he passed. It's a 1985 Jeep CJ7 and it is waiting in line for a complete restore. Wanting to use it to work my way through the Smokey Mountains & do some overlanding.
Not a critique, just some advice on what I do. When I get a new tent, or tent stakes, i always re-tie all of the cordage. Guy lines get a bowline at 1 end and slip knot at the other. Tent stakes get new 110 paracord and i tie it into a loop with a fisherman knot. I have yet to have a tent stake come undone like that and my guy lines are super stable. Last tent I got was the Onetigris Backwoods Bungalo 2.0 partially from your review. Has been a great tent for either backpacking or kayaking. Love your reviews and your adventure vids!
Me and a couple buddies of mine do a winter camping trip in February up in Maine every year…Last year it drop down to around -10 overnight we woke up to frost inside the tent..But it was a great trip..I love watching winter camping videos

Luke, great camp site providing ground level shelter, but great sound effects from the wind in the tree tops.
KEEP ADVENTURING
GOD BLESS YOU
🤗HUGS🤗
Oh my gosh!! Seriously love the video!! Didn’t want it to be over lol
Outstanding Luke. Great adventure. Balls of STEEL.
I would stick with Toyota our Tundra and 4Runner are great
Thank you for answering my question about wind noise. I love watching your videos and I care about them. that's why i asked. greetings from Turkey.
Luke. I got so cold watching you I had to turn the heat up lol.
Love all your shows.👌
Just a thought. Instead of taking a 90 liter pack full of gear, just take a bunch of cheap gear and leave it so you don’t have to pack it out.
My wife was just in Norway and I had her pick up about 20 of the Real Turmat meals! Can’t wait to try them.
Excellent video... you are a brave man you really being the winter to reality... plus you tell us how to survive and what is needed to survive....
just watching this makes me want to turn the heat up 😂. Great videos brother! Thank You !!
Awesome as allways Luke.... I love it!!! keep up the great work.... best regards from Denmark
Excellent choice of background music at the end, soft meditation.
The music and the view is soo awesome towards the end and the drive out made it one of the best yet!
I am in the uk . Great channel, I find it very interesting 👍👍👍
for some reason, the old expression "cruisin for a bruisin" comes to mind! Another AMAZING video, Luke! Totally agree on Toyota.
Really enjoy watching you camping and showing your products.
Awesome video .. i always love your Adventure..- greeting from Denmark.
Yipes!!! That hike out was no joke! Thanks for doing that for us!!
WOW*** THAT WAS INCREDIBLE💥💥💥🤟🤟
Me and a couple buddies of mine do a winter camping trip in February up in Maine every year…Last year it drop down to around -10 overnight we woke up to frost inside the tent..But it was a great trip..I love watching winter camping videos
Wind and rain on a tent is a lullaby to my ears, I sleep like a baby. But being cold when you can't get warm and cozy is sheer misery.
I, too, watch adventures with purpose, I had no idea. Wow
Great video sir!
I know people have questioned your musical choices before, but that song at the end was so beautiful!
